Opinions Needed: Anyone try Fujikura's putter shaft
Bruin, I just won that auction, but I haven't been home to try it out. I had a Bettinardi a couple years back and it had the PT-110 in it also. I think there is a bit more feel with this shaft in there, but nothing that smacks me in the face. I will give you a full report after I have putted with the A1SP. Laters Bump

Tourstage X-UT w/PICS!
OH MAN!!!!!!! That would complete the X set up perfectly. Looks like a solid SOB! Just one more thing to get before I get done with deployment. Match it with a GD UT-95 and that thing will be a cannon.

Tourstage X Drive 405...
As the proud owner of this club, I am thoroughly impressed with every characteristic this club has to offer. I have the Graphite Design M-65 Stiff in mine and it is a CANNON off the tee. I have messed around with the 435 and I really liked it, but for the price (about $350-$450 on Ebay) you can't beat the 405. This has that famous Tourstage thwack sound to it also. I love the sound of Tourstage clubs. The loft is also true to form which is nice in todays market of 9.5 really being 10.8. I can't stand that s**t. You will love this baby no doubt about it. If not, I could always use a backup!! Enjoy your new purchase!!

More new pics for the season!!
Those came with the irons when I bought them, but if you want a set, Chris sells them on here. I also got new wood covers, but I just haven't updated the pics yet. Thanks for the comment.

BAND8R's Bag with PIC's
HOLYs**t!!! We are so alike it is scary! That is one awesome setup. I wish there were more people like you and me in VA. Beach. I really appreciate a well thought out set and you are definitely in that category. Sweet setup bro!! Keep on the lookout for an X-Drive 405. MONSTEROUS OFF THE TEE! You, being a Tourstage fan, would love how that thing sets up also.

Srixon I-505 irons
The red numbers look great!! I also like the style of the numbers. These remind me of the old X-Blade CB's. NICE!!!

Gauge design wedges
I too have the GAS1 SQBT wedges in 53* and 58* and they are, by far, the biggest spinning wedges I have hit. They are soft, yet heavy and they chew the ball like no other. I had to get the grooves filed down a bit to keep the ball intake to 3 a round!! I am sold into the Gauge Design wedge craze for good. As soon as these wear, I will be getting another set. YEAAAAAH!!

Tourstage version 2006 X-Wedge!
MAN OH MAN.....those are some sexy mofo's!!!! I didn't think that the x-wedge could look much better than it did, but I was WAAAAY wrong. Thanks for showing those to us Chris.

TOURSPECGOLF: PRGR vs G-Field vs Tourstage vs Mizuno Challenge!
Yeah....I don't see Chris straying too far away from the G-field NC-1's. I personally like the Custom Mizuno's. If only the X CB's were more of a satin finish they would be sweet. The PRGR looks too long heel to toe wise. Maybe that is just because I haven't seen them in person.

Great Putter-360 grams or heavier???
Many of the Gauge Design and Gold's Factory putters have the option of upgrading the weight using military grade Tungsten plugs. Chris would have more information on this, but I have seen some of the putters from the Pro Division of Gauge Design and they are SICK!! You could get the head and overall up to whatever weight you desire.

Can you believe I have yet to hit the following?
I couldn't do it.....I would piss off my neighbors by hitting balls into their yards!!

My new GD Craze continues...
The A1SP and A3SP are still my favorite simply because of the Aluinser and the titanium finish. MAN......THAT NEO BLADE IS HUUUUUUGE!!

ComoCome! Pics of the Actual Product!
ComoCome make some super sweet headcovers guys!! They look even better in person if you can believe it. These are by far the most vibrant colors that I have seen around. I hope they get big in the states!!!

Before & After Refinishing Pics!
As always, I dig the color scheme that you picked. The original black looked very plain, especially for a custom Tour Zero. Good stuff Chris!!!

WHERE´S HONMA?
Honma is a very reputable brand in Japan, but they cater more towards the older crowd of Japanese golfers. The price tag is quite steep, but the quality is very much on the high end of the spectrum. They make their own shafts, so that is why many of the component golfers out there do not mess with them. The shafts that they make are out of this world as far as technology goes, but like I said they are specifically made for the older, slower swinging golfer. If you ever happen to run across any of their 5 star stuff, give a close inspection and you will marvel at the craftsmanship that goes into those things. I do know that the irons have an ACTUAL gold medal in the back of the heads!!! Great brand IMO, but they make their money with the upper eschelon of people in Asia. S-yard is also one of the most expensive brands that I have seen out there and they focus on the same group that Honma does. Great marketing if you ask me.

General BS Thread
bumpNrun24 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI too got some new toys to play with!! Taipanli hooked up the XST 3 wood with a Diamana Red 73s and a Gauge Design M2 AL+. I can't say enough about the feel of this XST!! It seems like I can do no wrong with it. I finally found the Tourstage headcovers that I have been looking for on Ebay. I won a set of three off of Seaport10 for $90!! These things are 4500 yen a piece in Japan, so that was a helluva steal. These are the red and black headcovers that look like the Bridgestone stock ones except these have the shaft sock. Tough find!! I know that there are many more purchases to be had this season, but for now I think I am set.

Any new info on the GF Leap or Leap-M?
I second that!!

If you could design a perfect putter...
The perfect putter for me is a JAT base with a mechanical neck. I would put Tungsten ingots (2) heel and toe for some extra head weight. I really like the titanium look of the A1SP, so I would go with that finish. Paintfill would be in red and black and there would have to be 2 sight lines on the flange separated the width of a golf ball. I would also like to have one of the Nippon putter shafts topped off with a black Iomic grip with red lettering. That is my masterpiece in a nutshell. Oh, I almost forgot, I would want the Gauge Japan guys doing the handiwork tuned out by Gold's Factory. PERFECT!!

Scotty Cameron tour mallets
Man that PP is probably the best looking mallet that Scotty has ever made!! I really like the red dots on the flange. SUPER PIMP!!
-
The G-Field Driver...
It sure is pretty. Very clean lines all the way around. I like the fact that they didn't mess up the topline by adding an alignment aid. I hate those things!!

Best used golf equpt shopping Tokyo?
You are in luck!! You are going to have lots and lots of replies on this category. Okachimachi is definitely a good place to start. Check out Ochonomitsu also for used sporting goods. Akihabara is the electronics district, so you should swing by there also. Most of these places are very easy to get to by train. As far as actual golf stores...check out Golf 5 and Victoria Golf. Those places are really cool. The Tokyo Giants should be starting their season by now, so you will want to head over to the Tokyo Dome. The person at the ticket counter at the train station should be able to tell you how to get to all of these places. Ginza is a must also if this is your first time. That is where most of the good shopping can be found. I assume that you are probably staying in the Asakusa area since that is where most of the hotels are located. If you happen to feel the need to look at some Cherry Blossom trees, swing over to Ueno and you will be in Blossom heaven!! That place is gorgeous. For the best view of Mt. Fuji head over to Ikebukuro. I hope that you have as much fun as I do when I go. There are endless things to do in the Tokyo area and you will see what I mean when you get there. Just remember, if you feel homesick, there is always a Starbucks within walking distance no matter where you are staying. Good luck out there brother!! P.S. if you are looking to have some more Adult fun, check out Shinjuku(Red light District) That is always a fun experience!! HEHE :tsg_smiley_embarrassed: Stay Safe, Matthew
