  1. Sorry Guys I ve been away a bit because of Wedding arrangements. Big day in about one month time... Anyway, I am now subscribing Even Magazine "for stylish Golf Players " (which is highly recommended). Besides all the fashion stuff, they usually have some interesting stuff on Clubs. This month edition they had a few brands which I have never heard of: 1) Emllid Bahama http://www.e-bahama.com/ 2) GP- Platinum http://www.gp-golf.com/ Not very inspired b design, but seems they have been around for a while very curious on how these smaller Brands actually survive in such competitive space. Maybe C or T could add their wisdom t the topic. Cheers M.
  2. Have anyone tried this in japan: http://www.bdworks.jp/ I a big fan of Dartslive (http://www.dartslive.com/), which is actually part of Sega corporation. For those no familiar, Dartslive s a soft tip darts game; very entertaining! I play a lot here in Hong Kong, even have a small Dartslive table on the wall. I think the Golf concept is VERY interesting!!! I would appreciate a feedback if any one tried it! Seems that there is one in Shimbashi and one in Roppongi!
  3. Glad that my 2 sets have Target Tour ... they r amazing! Hope the KBS is also as good as those
  4. 100% with mygreenaliem... Crazy MB ... feel and distance, nothing else to compare
  5. Looks nice ... specially considering the price! Looking forward to hear about the performance!
  6. I have the Dot-one (the silver plastic in the back). From a game perspective, they are really nice. Good feel and forgiving but without giving up distance. However I have to admit the plastic in the back looks cheap; and they are not a looker at all.... such as true that after a 5~6 months I also got the muscle back Crazy set; which is simply fantastic and are gorgeous!!! Stated here before: I want to be buried with them! The muscle back is less forgiving, small head but not that difficult to hit, it has more distance and you can shape shots. I love the 3 iron in this set. So I basically maintain the two and no interest in changing anytime in the future. The Dot-One I usually game in China where caddies are rough with the equipment, while the muscle back I game in Hong Kong or when I travel across the region. I hope it helps.
  7. I had a bit of quality issues with their products ... Range Bag that lost two zippers ... and a putter cover which literally had the color layer/pattern desintegrated and cause a big mess in my bag...
  8. One more from HK! Welcome to the forum ... Two Honma shops in HK: TST and CWB ... expensive and not the best gear IMHO. Tho it has been very popular among mainlanders. Take a look at the TSG Store link and surf through the forum to learn more about other Japanese brands
  9. Does it "wrong" strategy has anything to do with their shop in Ginza?!
  10. Not meaning to make it more complicated ... but have you also considered the Ryoma?!

I just re-grip two sets of irons with X Grip Custom Colors Daiya model ordered here at TSG (end navy and grip silver gray) - I first tried the Daiya model on a set of Golds wedges and i loved it. It sticks but is soft which eliminates the tension of my hands and kind of relax my arms before starting the swing. I tried to find this Daiya all over tokyo and here in Hong Kong (erlier this year) without success. I was happy to find out TSG was carrying the custom ones. The order took a while but it worth the waiting time.
  12. I ve been on the FW 80 for a while. it is by far the best shaft for woods. In my case it works perfect with the Ryoma (2 & 3)
  13. Here from Hong Kong as well. Went to the range with all the drivers (Maxima, TRPX, FLyingCat and Rage). I will try to write a more detailed review. the TRPX D-013 9* on a TJ80 7.4 is a monster combo; it managed to be longer than the Ryoma; not so forgiving but still very forgiving!!! Truly impressive feel and distance; competing to be the driver of 2013!!!
  14. ALso one more to add here, Shingo Katayama got out from NIke and went into Daiwa On-Off, having asics in his feet and wearing Dance with Dragon. He was quite an icon back in the days; so does DWD really have enough "bullets" to sponsor such a big player(?!)...
  15. That is an interesting topic... Not specifically in Japan, but here in Hong Kong and China, we see that Honma has carved their brand with Liang Wen Chong who is still one of the big stars of the sport in Mainland. I wonder if any otehr Japanese Brand will be interested in Guan Tianlang as he is heading to play a challenge with Tiger and Rory ... tho in his bag he has been carrying a mix of clubs but his irons are ... N-I-K-E. In regards to Japan; I wonder if Ryoma's distribution was also a contributor of its sucess in Japan. I remember I bought my first one at Biccamera in Ginza; which I was surprise to find a more "exotic" brand in such a "common" golf venue; which is mostly frequented by "slary man" and not exactly JDM-freaks like us hahahahaha Sorry deviating the topic, but T.; how is your business in Mainland and India going on?
  16. Awesome, it clears most of the questions! Cant wait to hit it
  17. Cant advise on how they work but saw a few from a friend. Golds work is difficult to caompare. I think even in Japan; when you compare to guys like Golf Craft-Sakai; Golds is in another league!
  18. Thanks T! Super informative and super cool! Amazing background!
  19. Hi C. ... As I said I just got one GOLDS for myself (from T.); You had a few "articles" on Sensei; would you mind sharing his background as you did with the TRPX crew. I always curious to know more about the background of the people behind the brands ... how he started, where did he learn, etc...
  20. That is a sweet lifestyle ... Here from Hong Kong; it looks far from reality ;-)
  21. Looks nice and promising. Cant wait to get mine!!!
  22. That one is beautiful! I just got a Golds putter and I love it... will post pics when all my drivers are built and show the bag setup :)
  23. Big time bargain. I own the Crazy MB and it is simply perfect!!!
  24. It matches with your bike Avatar!!! really nice
  25. 4 Golds putters ... WOW!!! rock N roll!
