  1. I agree with Jason with Bangvoo 787. That's my next shaft if budget allows and when comparing it to the 7 dreamers you could call a mid range priced shaft lol. Otherwise I am a big fan of the original Quadra FE in the 65sx my swing speed is around yours too. I had the Quadra Max Mbq both on 65sx and 65x. It seemed to launch higher and spin more than the original techno. What I like about the Quadra is seems to allow to operate it at a wider speed band. So either on your off days or on days it will still work a beautiful. I also use Trpx Xline sx. The about 67g but you better be swinging it well on the day as it doesn't respond well days when your swing it off. Cheers

I notice the Premium stiff is 250cpm and the 787 260cpm.

Can you still get those Muziik Bangvoo 787?
  5. Hi Guys, Chris is doing a sterling job trying to make a claim with JGE on my behalf. Fingers Crossed!! VIVA TSG!! Thanks for trying. Follow up: jge warranties for one year. Thanks Chris :)
  6. Hi, Not all that fast. My Driver clubhead speed is generally around 108mph but I can crank it to 112mph. Non of my monster ball striker friends have ever touched it. This triggered a clean out of my driver closet...lol
  7. Thanks for your thoughts guys. You know in the end it's not About the $$. It's when you find the right combo/package that beats everything else. Even if you do everything spec wise the same again..the magic might not be there. Kind off like when Kenny Perry's driver broke thanks to baggage handler. He was dead scared he wouldn't find the same wand again. I think he won several times on the trot the that stick including some senior major.
  8. So sad...my all time favourite driver head just developed a crack....centre striking and range balls are probably not good for it. Going for the Jbeam535. I hope nobody has had problems with 535. The score line design looks similar to the TRPX.

  12. Hi Stew I have a Ryoma D1 vspec 10.5 in very very good condition. Weight 201.1g have pictures I can email. Not sure whether your friend still looking and what he can offer. I will consider trades. I just couldn't find a combo I liked better than my jbeam 425 & 435. Whether I stepped on it, it would go left on me. Used a gd tour as dj6x, quadra wbq max 65sx tipped.. I hit the jbeam much better !! By the way I am in Adelaide but working in Hong Kong til end if the year. Cheers Jeff
  13. Beautiful clubs!! Wish I had the $$..
  14. Hi I have my J beam 425 10 deg with 45.25" Crazy Tour black La Bomba 65sx at D4.5. I reckon the heavier swing weight changed the feel of the club a huge amount for the better. Forgiveness wise I think it has plenty in reserve. Only thing is I don't hit it particular low. I can send it on a high trajectory or mid. But the longest drives I have done is with a mid flight as you get the killer roll on landing. Wondering are J Beam coming up with a new series of compact head similar to the 425? Love to try the Zero too.
  15. I believe you are getting a J Beam 535 also? Would love to hear that comparison.
  16. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=221552208462 If you go to the Epon site you can tell they have a list of items you should check. These fakes the number stamping doesn't look quite right. Only the 7i should have the forged and serial number this set has it right through. Can see the forged serial stamping to see how close it resembles the originals. The shape of the curve is totally off and the finish is not right .....Warning Fakes!!!'
  17. Sorry didn't want it to seem like a jacking . I was trying to give the discussion why I thought too much offset was into opinion not good since we were discussing it already. But I'll leave it alone, no problems. Please accept apologises. The point was that there is beauty in those heads we are talking about. Their simplicity and minimal offset. Simply beautiful tools to hit the golf ball with. I now play with not zero offset but minimal offset. That's what attracted me back to these jdm player heads ie precise instruments.
  18. This opinion come from Brad Hughes who teaches an old school swing and I believe my coach Martin Ayers also thinks in similar vein. By the way his wife is Japanese and he teaches in japan too. Modern etching totally sucks and I rediscovered my ball striking after decades of struggling with cockamamie positions you are meant to be in or look like. Go for blades and as little offset as you can possibly play. Simple tools!! That's what beautiful about Jdm blades..whether miura , mizuno, fourteen etc..This is a reply Brad had for the question of offset .... Bradley, Isnt offset supposed to be a forgiving feature? I think it adds confusion when lining up. Very surprised that most irons, even forged blades have offset. I used my bending bar to take out offset and used Dremel tool to correct bounce after bending to zero offset. Use lead tape to get weight right. Yeh look like hell but thats advantage of having 12 year old irons. Offset brings the shaft in ahead of the face (face will be open) and visually to me it feels like I have to flick my hands or roll them over to square the face up....or it feels like I have to come over the top to get the face on the ball......again...I think that is a designed feature by manufacturers (Karsten prob started this??)...to help fix a slice but again doing this deteriorates the action long term...... if people would get their clubs set up properly and avoid the use of band aids and crutches to try help them through they will be all the better in the long haul....and not be making these compensations that end up hurting them even more as time goes by. Upright clubs and offset.- two wrongs that don't make a right Upright clubs by their very disposition discourage the pivot from getting fully engaged. By using upright clubs the shaft will no longer be at right angles to the torso on the downswing, and any OTT move starts the ball much more left, quicker... than from a flatter lie angle. The arms then don't have room to work correctly on the downswing, and we keep hearing the "stuck" term which is exactly what happens. The offset is just that... an attempt to delay the shutting of the clubface so that OTT has a better chance of starting the ball online.. with more of a glancing blow. Two negatives rarely make things right. A correct golf swing is going to be based upon forearm rotation in sync with a proper pivot rotation. This upright/offset kind of equipment set up will inhibit that, and leave golfers scratching their heads wondering why they don't get better. The companies sure do sell us though on these concepts of their clubmaking....but when you are armed with true knowledge and aren't just patching your swing up with ill designed tools the yellow brick road becomes a heck of a lot clearer through the maze. I have seen plenty of the latest and greatest stuff head straight to e-bay after a few rounds when improvement wasn't imminent. It's not the club that will save you ...it's the correct setup of a club that can and will enhance our games over time....if you give yourself a chance and start thinking outside the box of what we have been told and follow and watch what the great players actually did with the club in their hands when they swung it efficiently you can then start to reap some rewards.
  19. Lol yeah I am getting to be a perennial jdm Club Ho. But no problems. I actually bought hutchy's Tours. But I think I have a long way to go compared to the likes of hutchy ot supo67. Golly someone just bid $1430 for rubbish fakes.
  20. The number stamping doesn't look authentic re: Epon Facebook has comparison pictures. I asked him to send more pictures of the inside of the hosel ...real one being serrated on the inside and the serial number stamping but no luck. I have been suckered by fakes goods before but rather take the loss on the chin than cheat someone else. Looking for gear on TSG might be the safest way , scary I was looking at these heads too.
  21. Just spotted these. Fake fake fake. Beware of this seller in future: epon personal blades. Be great if someone can report this to eBay. I am across the other side of the world and time zones don't match. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281383680593
  22. I used their X blades 701g & 703. Really first JDMs I owned besides some Honma persimmons I had 20 years ago. Loved it ever since. Never got along their drivers or fw but....sorry to hear TS go. But in the end there are some many great JDM club makers out there that they will only be missed for a short time.
  23. You sure they are fake. Lol. Better check em' out first.
  24. More fakes on eBay....sigh. These are absolutely horrendous knock offs of the Epon AF tour. http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=161283433310
  25. Hi, Can I check what lie angle you opted for the the head? I prefer the 56.5deg flatter clubhead. Thanks
