  1. Didn't like them upon first glance but the more I studied them the more I realized this would probably take the look of the bad topline grind away and make them look more like the size they should. Thumbs up!
  2. Lol, that original Masda/C-Taper build that you had was gawd awful...and I know for a fact it almost sent more than one C-Taper guy into rehab! But with the Modus Protos, they were unreal! I've been eyeing the Honma 717s for a while so I'm glad to hear they play as good as they look. I'm looking forward to hearing more about them.
  3. Hmmm...does it still have the headcover?
  4. Get some rest then I expect the write up, including drawings! ;)
  5. Since this thing is almost a clone of the R9, I'm really curious how they compare. Looking forward my friend!

Was wondering when you were gonna share that beauty with the world. I hope the honeymoon never ends my friend!
  7. Well...I gotta throw these in the mix, mostly because I never thought I'd say it. The Epon P2s are pretty amazing. Looking at their specs pre release and I ruled them out due to their offset. After the irons made their way into people's hands, everyone kept saying that the offset specs don't match what they're seeing at address. Well, I'll go one further and say not only do they look to have less offset than claimed, they play as if they have less offset as well. Total surprise for me...

I've had the same mindset a few times and I can't say that I've ever seen my game improve when going to CBs. Now I play them when I want to but I believe I'll always hit MBs better, or at least as good as, anything else.
  9. Many people, including several pros, prefer rust because it adds friction to the surface for greater spin. The only problem with rust is if you don't like the look. If that's the case, a wipe down with a little sword oil after your round will keep the rust to a minimum.
  10. I think with that stamping people would have claimed they were nothing more than satin Flatbacks (which they kind of are).
  11. Now that I have an idea what the ad says, I'm interested! Drink heavy and make me something unique!
  12. Got them, thanks guys!
  13. Gotta agree with Stew. If the 435 wasn't my fav, I'd have a tough time not choosing either Egg...maybe even over the Ryoma V-Spec.
  14. Quit talking about this...you guys are making me want to go back again! :) Chris, if I want a 3w shaft, do I need another fitting or can they extrapolate from my driver fitting?
  15. I've got a few ideas floating around in my head. ;)
  16. I prefer the performance of the 130s and 125s but too heavy for me too.
  17. Gotta be some of these lying around...
  18. No black, just the original...although that's the only other head that I'd really like to try!
  19. Baby's getting a new pair of shoes!
  20. Not yet. They should have received or will receive my 435 any time so hopefully it gets on it's way to me really soon.
  21. No apology necessary and I hope I didn't come off the wrong way. I just meant that this was my concern also when these first gained interest.
  22. We went through this in another thread and iirc the consensus from 7D was that most people's swing changes won't be drastic enough to worry about.
  23. The turtle is a 435, the ghosted hibiscus is my Tourstage X-FW Type T, the hula girl is a Yamaha I.F.F, and the ghosted hammerhead is an Adams peanut.
  24. Those ARE my gamers!
