lol, i hear you on the wallet! i've been looking forward to a review on the romaros...please tell me all about them!

first impressions after a brief range session... they set up well and frame the ball nicely. the black took no time at all to get used to. they're very solid but more demanding than my current gamers. the raw leading edge is sharp and definitely promotes deeper divots than i'm used to. i'm looking forward to hitting these with my game ball (penta tp) instead of range rocks but i'll need some more practice time before i get them out on the course. i play to a 3-4 handicap and in my past i've played blades with very small sweet spots (tm rac mb's) but recently middle to long irons have become my weak link. i'm hoping these force me to step up my game and get back to where i want to be!

thanks everyone! i'm heading out to play a skins game so will game my cobra s3 pros but these will get a healthy range session right after! i live in az so these will probably never see any water. however, we do sweat a lot out here during the summer and they remain extremely tacky...to the point that you don't need a glove. gripmaster ran a huge sale during the masters' weekend and at that point these weren't that much more than iomics so it became a no-brainer.

prefer stiff shaft but not a deal breaker.

finding the right shaft will give you the characteristics you're looking for. an 8-9* head with a higher launching shaft gives me my ideal trajectory but i've also played a 10.5* head with a low launching shaft that was too low! imho, the shaft will dictate launch angle and spin more than the head or it's loft.

nice pauSS! i've been holding onto my e55 because i wasn't a fan of the n/a 63 motor. it's about time they tt'd the 5.5 motor! keep us updated on that beast!

forgive the noob question...but are the epon af tour mb's really more forgiving than these cb's?? glws!

i recently hit the rbz driver against a few other u.s. market retail clubs and couldn't hit it any further than the rest. then i hit the rbz tour 3+ metal and was hitting it within 10yds of the drivers! this is the first fairway metal i have ever been impressed with. so much so that i bought one and finally retired my ping maple isi tour 3wood. i hate the feel of metal woods but this thing performs and it looks like i may have to force myself to get used to it! i had a chance to test it out on the course yesterday and it exceeded my expectations. but even if i can get used to the feel i'll still need to have it painted black...talk about ugly!

these shafts definitely perform as promised with good feel and great dispersion on top of their distance, trajectory, and spin claims. i used to play more of an s flex but fit these into my forged cobra s3 pros in the r+. shortly thereafter i shot my first sub par round. that may have been a coincidence but i was quite impressed with the shafts before that anyways. i'm really curious how the c-tapers compare to the nippon spb's that i keep hearing about...
