Thanks for the kind words guys. Ash--Ken was awesome (can't remember if I told you already or not). Thanks! Anyway, make some offers! I NEED a putter. Would also be willing to break up the combo.

MCI/Recoil question (yep again!)
Gents-- I've read all of the comparisons on this site and others but I still want to try to squeeze some more info out of you experts! So I have a set of Recpils on the way (125, f4)--based on my driver SS of about 115 (max effort: 110-113 more to be expected), Ennis at UST suggest I tip these a half inch. Currently playing c-tapers in S+: good results, but starting to hate the feel and may be a touch stiff. Plan was to put these in OnOff forged heads. But now I'm planning to pick up the 110x MCI set from TSG as well...hoping I will have a clear winning shaft but if not I'll have a nice backup set :) So, questions: -I've heard that the MCI plays a bit soft to stated flex, but with the stiffer tip and metallic component that sounds counter-intuitive. Also, it seems that the MCI flexes vary greatly with weight class. So, any thoughts/experience on how these play from a flex perspective? -same as above, but feel? --which heads? Eyeing stew's TS 905s, but also considering something more generic like the nike VR pro combo or the cobra amp pro forged (want a more player-esque set along with onOff. So, head suggestions? --which shafts for which heads??? If it where you--do you put the recoils in the ytb combo set, or the onoff forged set? Thanks!

Grips??
I developed an obsession with nowon 50s but wanted something firmer for my woods and found a steal on iomic x-grips. Ordered some of the black armor sticky evolutions at the same time and those have become my go to. Perfect mix of feel and tackiness for me. Oh yeah---maybe its just me but I tried the Lamkin iLines a few months back. Waste of money IMO. If anything they were worse than stickies, and cost about the same when you get a good price (or go with the blk armor).

all gone! thank you tsg!
Beautiful drivers! Can't wait to someday be in a position to not only own these 2 works of art, but also another driver or two that beats these out for a spot in the bag. What drivers are those for you, if you don't mind me asking? Wish I had more to add, but all I can say is my 2009 yam RPM head has been a revelation for me--anyone who buys this setup will undoubtedly be a very happy man! Nestor luck with the sale.

Sorry forgot to follow new rules in last post. Great wedge here by way of Harry. Excellent condition--grooves are quite sharp (black finish wears quickly on this though so face appears more worn than it really is). Pretty fresh No1 Grip. Asking $125 shipped in the US. Thanks! NOW $100

Diamana 70x in 3w: my thoughts and a question
Yeah I hear ya...the 70x is tough to launch off the deck regardless of head. Looking for mostly tee shots with this.

Diamana 70x in 3w: my thoughts and a question
Thanks for all the great info guys. Thinking of going with this Yamaha 3w head from stew's stash (2008 Yamaha IFF Tour): What do guys who have played this head think of it? Thanks!

Diamana 70x in 3w: my thoughts and a question
Hi all! First, thanks for all the great info that has allowed me to learn a bit about this world as a lurker for awhile. I recently got my mitts on a Diamana X 70x at about 42", tipped one half inch (thanks spoon)! This thing has been a revelation. I am hoping to acquire a Yamaha or Romaro head in the offseason, but for now it's in a Nike Covert Tour wood (refinishing this weekend hahah). The head feels like a tin can, so I can pretty much give all credit to the shaft. The thing feels like a bull whip in my hands at impact. Incredible stability throughout the swing, but at impact it seems to transform, offering anew-to-me feeling that I can best describe as the shaft accelerating the clubheads through impact of its own volition. Terrible description, but hopefully you know what I mean. You all know this shaft far better than I anyway! I feared it would be too stiff. I have a SS of 115-117 with a very aggressive transition, perhaps more importantly, I'm a poor golfer, I struggle very much just making relatively consistent contact with longer clubs, with this club, I feel I've nearly doubled my sweet spot hits, it just feels right. I want this shaft in my driver--no doubt about it, right now I switch bw an AD DI 7x and a Speeder TS 7.2x (both tipped a half inch). I like to stick with 70 gram range shafts in my driver to help with consistency, but i'm thinking the X in 60x might have the stability I need. Thoughts? These shafts are way out of my price range; is there anything I could do to try something quasi-similar first before making a decision? Of course a fitter with access to both the 60x and 70x would be great, but I have not found one in the NY area as of yet. Finally, recommendations on the best 3w heads for this shaft from personal experience? Looking for something versatile for tee and fairway. For the driver, I'll probably stick with the Pi g G25 head as I love it and simply can't afford the shaft plus a JDM driver head! Thanks and have a great wknd!
