Yup, LA area for me, too. And I know that back-the-truck-up feeling well. (Think probably everyone here does... <g> ) Good luck. You won't go wrong with any of them.

Bridgestone 2015 LIMITED J15MB!
- The quest ....
Agree with those who have said the Yamaha's sound like exactly the feel you're describing looking for. I'm playing the 2014 RMX MB's and love that feel they give off. Also the etched waffle lines on the face give something really unique to both feel and workability. I was a Miura lover prior to these, and I have to say the Yammies offer something that is one-of-a-kind. They also have both leading and trailing edge relief, and I find they play well off the kikuyu at my club, both rough and fwy. Good luck with whichever way you go.- Bridgestone 2015 LIMITED J15MB!
Irons look really nice and clean. FW's look interesting too, particularly that 3+ that is adjustable. Have you hit that yet, Chris?- The Fairway Wood Shaft Thread!
Anyone try any of the lighter weight Fuji Speeder FW shafts? If so, can you describe characteristics...? Since I love the Fuji MCI iron shafts in the 70g weight, I've always been curious about these fwy's, too.- TRPX Utility Shafts
I look forward to these, too. Glad to see them providing for those of us who like the lighter weights.- Iron addiction!
Be sure and check out the Yamaha 2014 RMX Tour MB. Fits all your qualifications and plays with super feel.- help me build my bag
Last year's Yamaha RMX Tour MB's are awesome irons. Very compact and precise, and you can really make the honeycomb face talk -- in any language. As for damp weather wedges, I wouldn't go Yururi -- unless you're looking to dig furrows long and deep for seeding purposes... <g>- Get your COPPERS on!!

Looking at these makes me glad I grabbed last year's MB. I think they'll stand out design-wise for years to come.- My 1st Gold's...but definitely not the last!!

When I sent it to Golds, it had the original Yamada Burning Copper finish. But it was pretty dinged up and the milling was worn. Master S did the new milling and it was completely refinished in the antiqued look. Tario negotiated the process for me sending me photos along the way.- Evolution 9 keeping me busy

I, too, am so glad to hear things go well, Tario. We're all looking for that balance in life, and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that contact with you has been a valuable part of my own endless search. Best wishes for you and yours always.- Get your COPPERS on!!
Thanks. In talking to Tario, I told him I was looking for something of an antiqued look, which he passed on to the Master. I love the result every time I look down at it. (What Chris's photo captures is just how beautiful it looks next to the color of a green.) It's also so hand-drawn looking that I'm sure it would always come out looking one-of-a-kind. And the truly amazing thing is how the milling actually improved the roll and touch, which I didn't think was possible with that putter which I had a love affair with anyway. Good luck with yours. I'd look forward to seeing how it turns out.- Zodia Point Five Spec 51.5 Nickel Chrome wedge

Thanks for the great pic, Chris! Hadn't seen that one. All I could find to post (above) were the iPhone shots I still had in my photostream... Yours does it better justice (as always).- yamaha rmx cb tourmodel 2014 vs onoff forged 2013
I'm playing the RMX MB, not the CB, but I can say this line is all about accuracy. I've even picked up the RMX Tour as my gap wedge, and all these irons are the straightest I've ever hit. Occasionally I get a baby draw or a soft fade out of the longer irons, but mostly frozen ropes, or lasers. They're long, too. Relief on both leading and trailing edge make for a nice smooth feel for me, even out of rough.- Get your COPPERS on!!
Thanks. When I play the Yamada, I also substitute my old Cally copper 64-deg wedge for my Miura 64K. Gives me the feeling of copper for the day. Sure do like the looks of the Epon copper irons though...- Get your COPPERS on!!
Still get that warm and fuzzy feeling I get from all these pics every time I roll my Yamada that Golds restored and refined for me.- My new........
Thanks for the update, m. My order is in and I'm talking with Chris about the 3 shaft choices as we speak. I'm thinking of going with the Distance model as I'm happy with the "control" factor of the Messenger 1st on my other T.388.- S-Yard Japan Closes for Business
Sad to see this, but glad my instinct was right in loading up on t.338's and XV fwy's. To Kabayashi-san, my profound thanks. I continue to bow to you in thanks multiple times per round on the course after hitting any or all of the above. ("Kobayashiiiiiiiiiiii...!" can still be heard on our club's fairways late afternoons... <g> ) And to the guys at S-Yard, many thanks for your kindness and attention. I continue to sport my S-Yard hat and bag, which always receive questions and compliments - The quest ....
