  1. A holiday wow on these -- all of them -- great clubs, Ping!
  2. I'm interested in this. Since I've now run out of the Nike Blacks I was using, I've been trying the ZStar. I find it scuffs pretty easily and def does not go as far off the driver as the Nike, but I do like it off my irons a lot, and for putting. And BTW, I do really care about the sound of a ball, and especially off the putter. I do the same test with a new ball at home on my carpet, and immediately reject some because of sound and feel off the putter... Is this ball going to be available in the States, too, in January, Chris?

Every now and then a bag just stuns. Both of these bags stun! Nice work, mate! Enjoy them both.

Great looking mix of clubs. (And I like the bag, too...) Enjoy!
  5. Great looking bag, man!
  6. Sorry to hear of the rough time, Chris. All strength and best to your father and to you and your family. --Richard
  7. Can't hurt to try it. I've had some surprisingly positive results mixing shafts into clubs they weren't intended for -- especially drivers and fwy woods. Like D said, you can always pull it and save it for a fwy.

Thinking... as I doubt these will be around long...

    Nice, nice, and NICE!
  10. Hope it IS pear shaped. And small.
  11. From my POV, this is the best driver/build combo of all time. I'd say GLWS, but I can't imagine seller's remorse not siezing you if/when you let this baby go.
  12. For anyone who has hit these, I'm curious what the effect of the rails actually is. Thx.
  13. Had a chance this week to hit the new PRGR irons in the RS series -- both the Forged MB and the Titan CB. And true to rep, these are fine feeling, great looking irons. The Forged MB's were definitely special to me. Crisp, precise hits, great feel, and easily workable. I hit these with the stock NS Pro 95 S shaft, and the trajectory was a nice medium height rising kind of carry that flew long and had nice roll out. Size-wise, they're not quite as small as the blades I've been playing, but they definitely don't look like CB's when looking down at them at address. Interesting shape to the sole made them play well off both tight turf and rough. Beautiful sound on strike gives great feedback on the hit, and the sweet spot seemed to be large and forgiving for a player's iron. The Titan is a little larger, but not overwhelmingly so. It, too, has a great shape and appears surprisingly similar to the MB at address. The face is a little darker, and has a white line on the bottom groove that makes it super easy to set up. The CB has a channel separation at the base that, sure enough, reminded me of the Mizuno MP55 both in look and feel. This one jumps on impact with a slightly more energetic sound. Not a big topline at all for a CB. Def does NOT look like a GI iron at address. I hit it with both the stock carbon and the stock NS Pro 85 shafts. Both were a little lighter, and to my liking, produced a higher trajectory with a little more spin, and the distance bump was what you'd expect from a forgiving CB even if the feel was a little less precise than the forged. Great irons for someone looking for a blade that's a little more forgiving or a CB that seems loaded with the new distance technologies that keep finding their way into the higher end irons. --RLL

Agree -- these are great wedges at a great price.
  15. It does look nice. Glad to see they went with matte black on this one and continued with the laser etched face.
  16. Great post, Chuck!! As for my nocturnal visitation, I saw the Sanki Planarian S63 metallic Silver shafted on my A-Grind Classic driver, completing my A-Grind bag of smoked copper R1 blades, wedges, DST fwy's, and stealth black hybrids in a way that would make this bag vibrate fully even while standing still. It's already a walking, talking ad for TSG, but one of those shafts in the unheard of small Classic driver head would do nothing less than make heads at my club explode.

Wow, that is one baDass looking putter!
  18. Does it start with an "A?"
  19. Yet another beauty! Good stuff coming out this year, it seems. Interesting to see as a lot of the US market flounders...
  20. SOLD, guys. Thanks, as always, to TSG!
  21. I, too, would like to see a 7-iron go an "easy 190..." (other than in the hands of Jason Day or DJ...)
  22. Are the listed weights on this driver's spec sheet correct? They're all at or around 300g... !?
