  7. Selling Gauge Design G-Field Forged NC-1 iron (made in Japan) with MCI 80 in R flex @ USD 700.00 shipped international #4 to PW shafted, #3 loose, 'made in Japan' etched on hosel, paint-fill removed for clean & classic look
  8. Are there 2 versions of the MP-R4 - standard retail & Yoro craft? Are the MP-R4 wedges forged in Japan?
  9. I think I found my shaft for the 3 wood - NSPro Regio FW 70R, 69g, 3.2deg torque, 277cpm The original Tour AD MX613F S flex on Impres XV 3 wood launch a touch too low for me (good distance with plenty of roll though) and a non committed swing will bring the ball right. The Regio came marked 277cpm, and my heart sank cos I could not handle the FE FW Type D @ 257cpm. Upon testing, the Regio FW felt smooth with a decent launch, the impact felt different (soft) as well. All these could be due to the profile of the shaft which is stiff butt, softer mid profile and stable tip. The Regio FW also came marked with the logo facing up, checked the spine - perfect at 9.00 o'clock, also marked at the butt for various trimming at 1/2" interval. My swing speed for driver is 95-98 mph

    Epon gone
  11. spot on! low weak fade, how did you know? what do you think it's the cause?
  12. Got the FE Max WBQ 55SR (62g / 4.2 torque / 242 cpm) and FE FW Type D 65SR (68g / 2.7 torque / 257 cpm) The WBQ 55SR suits me pretty well with a smooth & stable tip feel but the Type D 65SR feels stout with a firm tip (same results with 2 different 3 wood heads) The specs for the Type D 65SR; 68g (6g heavier) and 257 cpm (15 cpm increase for 1" shorter) seems perfect to match the driver shaft but performance shows otherwise, I presumed that the low torque of 2.7 caused the shaft to feel stout The FW Type D 55R (60g / 3.5 / 250cpm) and 55S (63g / 3.4 / 266 cpm) specs doesn't seems to match the WBQ 55SR either Will I achieve the same feel & performance using the same driver shaft tipped for 3 wood?

So I should buy those wedges fitted with NSPro950 shafts so that I get wedge heads in 290++g (based on the above data) so that I can build / re-shaft the wedges to match my PW @ 460g overall weight? I'm quite sceptical that they actually build 280++g wedge heads. My current 52deg wedges Gauges Design & Epon are both sub 300g, the overall weight for GD @ 464g with NW110 and Epon @ 476g with WV115 (my PW @ 460g with Modus 3)

Noted that the Japanese wedges sold fitted with shaft are generally light in both overall weight & swing weight. For 52 deg AW by: Romaro Ray with NSPro 950 @ 442g / D2 Romaro Ray with DGS200 @ 462g / D3 RC DB DM with NSPro 950 @ 447g / D1 RC DB DM with DGS200 @ 468g / D2 Assuming the NSPro 950 @ 98g & DGS200 @ 128g and grip 50g, there is a difference of 30g between the two shaft but only 20g between the overall weight (see above), does the manufacturers use different head weights (10g difference) for different shafts? i.e. 294g Romaro wedge head for NSPro950 shaft and 284g for DGS200 shaft? So should I need to check the overall weight & estimate the head weight prior to any purchase so that I can fit to my desired wedge shaft & spec? Aren't the swing weight on the low side? I typically have the short irons (PW - #8) at D2 with steel shafts. Also, I think most components wedge head comes in sub 300g range Looking forward to get your view & advice
  19. Has anybody tried the RC 2013 DB double milled wedge? Does the double milled face helps to increase spin or just feel factor?
  20. In search of new wedges.......... my Epon 210KGX fitted with NS Pro WV115 are nice feeling but the ball don't bite on half shots (well the ball stops only for full shots) Just dug out my old Gauge Design wedges fitted with Shimada NW110 today, will give the Epon wedges another chance tomorrow but then again the GD wedges have non-conforming grooves and aggressive face milling
