Well I've try HX gold before and just got a Maxima ST from TSG but it's still in the box and I'm going off to Japan tonight so I'll be able to give you a full compare when I come back. But for now at the address I like the look of Maxima more than HX and with the combination of hi-cor and DSI I think it should be a little better than HX.

Do the foams effect in anything else apart from the sound?

Superman is one of the longest driver I've ever hit but the face is cracked so easily and the sound is too loud for me while Shepherd is quite mute and solid.

I've to admitted that it's not an easy driver to hit since it didn't provide much forgiveness at all, but feeling and result for a good shot is awesome so far shepherd is the driver that give me highest ball speed and the wind didn't bother it at all.

It's depend on what issue do you want to compare, if you ask for a distance then it won't be as long as KW Air and Maxima since those driver were developed and applied technology to help increasing distance or Glorie is an anti right driver that help if you have slice problem. But if you are looking for an overall performance and feeling driver then definitely XV is one of those top lists of last year driver.
