My Chick Bag
Pretty dorky thing to do, but I'm finally pretty happy with my bag. Covers stay on the irons, putter and woods during the round, they're only on the wedges during transporting. Alternates for different courses are a Henri-Griffitts Praxis driver, 5w and a 60º K Grind.

Playing AF-302, need 2nd set of iron suggestions
Thank you. I'm a woman and a 8.7 but rising a bit. I play from the middle or back tee and difficult courses, so the slopes are usually pretty high. I'll look into the Nabla, on first glance it doest have any trailing edge relief. The iD BL is pretty much what I'm looking for. I think the Adject looks beautiful, but it seems like there might be a lot of mass visible at address. I don't want to see anything at address on a 4i. I'm not a Bridgestone fan at all, so that's a hard call. I like the RMX CB Tour, but the top line looks a little thick. The head size is something I wonder about with all of these too, as I want something the same size, but preferably smaller than the 302. I feel like Goldie Locks :) This is a second set so I'm going to keep an eye out on these suggestions for something used. I'm also looking at putting in graphite shafts to ease my wrists as I play a lot. I love steel though, so I know something decent (i95's?) is going to add to the tag pretty quickly. Thanks again for all of the suggestions. Yes, I think we did, and I bought one too. I love using a 64º and K Grinds as well, so I had to kick out for it. It was worth every penny and gets used a lot.

Playing AF-302, need 2nd set of iron suggestions
Thanks for the help. The S-Yards have too much offset, and the CB358 don't have the trailing edge relief. But the PRGR iD BL are pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Who forges these?

Playing AF-302, need 2nd set of iron suggestions
I looked at those, but I'm looking for a little more leading edge relief. If they had good graphite shafts in R flex, I'd be tempted to give them a run.

Playing AF-302, need 2nd set of iron suggestions
I'm looking for a second set of irons. I really like my AF-302 but need a second set of irons to have at the house. I'd like something with the same size head or smaller, thinner top line, same offset or less (especially in the scoring irons) and leading edge relief. Trailing edge relief would be nice too. Since this is a send set, I'm looking for something that I can pick up used without the premium brand price markup (i.e. S-Yard, RomaRo, not Epon or Miura). It also must be available with a 4i and forged. Any suggestion on what to look at? Thanks

pr-gr nabla tour wedges
Congratulations, they look pretty interesting and I like the groove idea. Are they the A or H?

Member Introduction Thread - Say hello and tell us about yourself!
"When I jump, I'm all in." I started golf in late spring of 2011 becuase my bf played and we were going to great golf locations like Scottsdale and Maui. I didn't mind hanging by the pool with a cocktail, but I've always been athletic and was a wellness and fitness coach. I decided to play so we'd have another activity to enjoy together. He bought me a set of Adams women's clubs and I booked some lessons. One my first round, I birdied my first hole, a par four that I chipped in over a large tree. Needless to say, I was hooked. Also, it's probably no surprise that my next birdie wasn't for a number of rounds later. The women's set is long gone and I've always been into gadgets. Photography is another passion of mine and like golf, there's always something new, maybe something better. I came upon TSG by a review of the Japanese forged ATV wedges. I had been playing the USDM version, but read about how forged wedges feel so much better. Being a "feel" over tech person and already loving the feel of my Mizzy irons, I had to try them and the review led me to my first JDM club. That lead to the gateway - Miura. A full set of K Grinds later, I moved on to a set of 9003 SN. Now I've got a set of AF-302s and looking to buy a second set of JDM irons and replace my woods and driver. I'm sold on the quality of the JDM products and love the game too much to not be getting the best I can afford. Plus, I like not haven the standard stuff that everyone is bagging. I'm a member of a club well known for its designer and love being able to get as many rounds in as I can. I play three to five days a week, and practice on the other days with a day off on the weekends. My SS is in the low 90's and I have a deliberate tempo. I strive for a beautiful swing, but some of my ugliest have made the best shots - go figure. My favorite club changes round to round, but usually hovers around my 4i, driver or 64º wedge. I still take lessons, watch Golf Channel constantly and have a whole library of golf books, but my best moments, both on the scorecard and inside my soul, are from when those times that all of those thoughts go out of my mind and I can settle into that magical place - the zone. I knew it in music and other sports, ut golf seems to hit a little deeper and provide a little more. Golf is the crack for the spiritual soul. There's the challenge of the physical side, the mental challenges and also the social aspect of the game, that draw me in. As a Neo-Buddhist, I find a strong spiritual aspect in my time on the course. Everyday is different, and that's a good thing and a curse at times, too. Just about every golfer understands that. I'm working on a blog to combine three of my passions; golf, photography and writing. If I can suss out a way to mix in music and get my bf out on the course more often, I'd be even more content. It's a goal, right? "Bunches"? It depends on who you ask. I like to think, "bunches of sunshine, bunches of hugs, bunches of smiles", you know the sweet stuff. If you were to ask my father, "bunches of bulls*$t". Yea... , I love my dad and his sense of humor :)

Wedge Talk - shaft suggestions
I have and found them to be a little more solid on 3/4 and full shots than Spinners. However, they don't have the (what I call) "sensitive" feel or spin on shorter shots. I kept one in my backup GW (forged ATV), but went with the same shaft (but not hard stepped) that I have in my irons on my gamer K Grind GW.

Wedge Talk - shaft suggestions
How do you guys compare the NS Pro WV vs. the DG Spinners? I've got Spinners in my 56, 60 and 64 Ks, but just put a XP95 in my 52 to match my irons. I have a Fourteen RM-11 with a NS Pro Wedge shaft that I like, which was the predecessor to the WV, but balked at trying the WV 105 in favor of more spin on short chips with the Spinners.

WB: S-Yard Bold 58º or similar
Looking for a S-Yard Bold 58º, preferably head only but shafted is OK. I'd consider something similar in a 58º as well. Thanks

Mizuno JPX Pro to PP-3003 or?
This may be off topic, but how do the 302 compare to the SUS316? I'm going to look for another set and am thinking about Baby Blades to work on my ball striking, but I'm drinking Epon Kool-Aid at the moment.

Mizuno JPX Pro to PP-3003 or?
I went to a fitter who got me into a bad shaft for me, the old TT M80. Big mistake as I told him I was happy with the GS95. Anyway, I shafted the 6i of the 9003 SN and the 302. I think the 302 are more forgiving. The head is a little smaller than my JPX 825 Pros and the PP's, but I think I hit it more precisely because of that. Turf interaction was better with the 302. Anyway, it should've been between the 302 and Miura 501.

Thank you.

Mizuno JPX Pro to PP-3003 or?
Well... here's a little update. I got a line onto a barely used set of PP-9003 Straight Necks for a good price and bought them without trying them. I looked at the standard PP-9003, but didn't bother to hit them because of too much offset. I wondered if this was too much of a lateral move and made an offer on a set of AF-302 heads, and it was accepted. So now I have a decision to make. I'm getting a shaft fitting this week. I play the TT GS95 R now and really like them, so on paper, the TT XP 95 or KBS Tour 90 should be close, but getting the swing weight down is going to be an issue. I have a deliberate tempo with a driver SS around 90 and my current shafts give a high flight which I like. I figure I'll them shaft each 6 iron and take them out on the course and really see what I like, then sell off the other set. I'm more of a sweeper than a digger. Accuracy, forgiving and distance are what I'm judging. I have some concern that the 302 might be a little beyond me, but I've heard that they're fairly forgiving, so I'll see how it goes. I've been reading about how Mizuno and other companies send out clubs and heads with such loose specs, that I'm sold on the higher quality Japanese forgings. Plus since getting my Miura wedges, the forge feeling is addictive (not that my JPX Pros are bad as cast). I made a post last night asking about the head weights of the 302 heads (Epon's site only lists the total weight with two shafts), but it must've been deleted. Anyway, the fitter should have a scale to suss it out if I can't get the numbers.

Epon 302 head weight spec?
Does anyone have a listing of the 302 individual head weights? I've only come across the swing weight chart with two different sized shafts on Epon Japan's site. Thanks

Mizuno JPX Pro to PP-3003 or?
I ended up picking up a barely used set of PP-9003 SN. However, I think I should've gone for the Epon 302 or Miura 501. I don't need too forgiving as my misses come from not clearing my hips and my contact is pretty good. Thy were used so the price hit on reselling shouldn't be too bad. It's a process...

It wasn't Monterey. It was over the hill in Sunnyvale. Golf Tech carries Miura, Epon and KZG.

Mizuno JPX Pro to PP-3003 or?
Thanks, I'll check it out. I was able to hit an Epon 702 today at the store and couldn't believe the feel, even with the practice balls, but the sole felt a little large. I'm going to put the 502's on my list.

Mizuno JPX Pro to PP-3003 or?
I've been pretty happy with my Mizunos but I'm looking to buy a second set of irons and new to the JDM world. Any suggestions or what to look at that will be of a similar forgiveness but softer feel? I'd like a fairly thin top line and a pretty versatile sole as it's going to be pretty dry this summer. The PP-3003 are on my list but any other suggestions are appreciated. I'd like to stay under $2K. My iron game is my weakest link but I'm working on it. Thanks
