  1. I love the NC-1's there were a few variants of them but I'd buy a new set if I could find one.
  2. opps! fixed :) Your xXx you playing a messenger? If so what length and head weight config you using? Had a small issue with the D at 45.75" with the Messenger stiff at standard weight config. Shortened to 45.25" and slapped in heavier weights and am a very happy camper. Just gotta ease into my S-013 w/ X-Line. I think the shaft is too stout for my swing.
  3. Your hitting the D right? or S? I'm torn between the two. Got both and love both.
  4. I'll have it go to Tario first then myself. If it feels like the Craft 425 that's a very nice thing.
  5. Beauty shots of the D-013, I'll post the S-013 & pics of each shaft from all angles here shortly.
  6. It's pretty amazing that all of us are on the same page in regards to 3 woods.
  7. There was some sort of issue with adjustability that requires the owner to get fit then adjust then glue it into place. I'm not sure if this is still the case here, T can you chime in?
  8. Coming from a 435 myself perhaps you should trade someone who has wants your S for their D.
  9. Have you hit the S-Yard T.388 limited driver? If not you should at least give it a rip. So I'm writing about the XV but talking about the 388 because I personally think this thing is a 388 fairway wood and should have been named as such. They remind me of each other in so many ways, First the low spin and low flight, the straight shots remind you of the 388 as well, add shape and finish to that and we have a fairway wood that is an absolute beast! Now the XV was no slouch at all, I still game it from time to time, it has many of the same higher more forward CG attributes that the 388 has yet in a bigger package, some have argued that the XV looks better in shape than the 388. To each is own. Designed by Kobayashi-san exclusively for SYD it reminds us once again why he is the man. In an industry with so many gimmicks and copy cats Mr.K puts out products that are different and most often in a very great way. So above as you can see it's not a deep faced wood, don't let that scare you away as the trajectory is anything but high and loose. This thing is stable with a mid trajectory all day long. You need only sort your shaft and specs out properly to have "a ball" with this club. 3 woods have always been my achilles heel, My savior for a long time was the Ryoma F3 and I still go back and fourth. Keep in mind I always throw a Crazy FW80 into any fairway I have, I need to try something new but have no desire to because the results FOR ME can't be beat or at least I haven't found anything that can take it out. I slapped the FW80 into this XV FW and noticed a slight improvement thanks to the heavier weight but what I can say is that SYD does it's homework when it comes to designing and selecting the proper stock shafts. Like the 388 the XV FW has a stock shaft that works flawlessly for most players. The face is slightly more shallow than normal I would say and if your coming from a deep faced FW don't be afraid this thing will blow your mind. Easy to hit, mid trajectory, straighter less spin! Have a look on top, the beautiful matte black finish in direct sun light doesn't glare one bit. Thank you SYD for going matte black and not gloss, Does it's shape remind you of the 388? It does to me and looking down at this puppy makes me smile each and every time. Confidence! That's the feeling I get when looking down at this, not for the visual but because of the back log memories of the great shots this club has produced. I just got into the 5 wood too, It's perfect! So top 3 FW's for me are the RomaRo Type-R, Ryoma F3, and I think my new favorite is this XV. SYD please make a utility like this! Anyway just quick initial impressions.
  10. Coming from the 435 you will love the D-013. That was my transition as well.
  11. It's a putter with massive offset which makes it extremely difficult to turn over.
  12. Seems to be the general consensus that TRPX shafts are more user friendly than Crazy mirroring what Tario has mentioned several times. I second that as my Messenger has worked well for both faster & slower swingers than me. This chart sums up how simple they made it vs Crazy:

We are still a little early to talk 2014. Yamaha is one of the first to announce and just did so from now until March things start to heat up. Like you B, I'm thinking the Tour Model CB could fit the bill. 2013 is/was killer, I think the 388 stole my heart in 2013 and recently the XV fairway wood. The Ryoma F3 w/FW80 alone lowered my scores and looking back on the year its been really great for JDM gear especially with TRPX, a brand that came out of nowhere making some seriously good drivers & shafts, btw it's actually a 2014 brand currently in soft launch.
  14. I'll be giving these a try, agree on the busy part but it looks to be my kinda iron especially the size.
  15. They are a spin off of winwin, we rarely have requests but can get anything from zipang if you need.
  16. I played a couple rounds with the CB recently, fantastic set of irons.
  17. Guys, SYD is not in good shape as a company. I have a strong feeling they won't be around in 1-2 years. While Kobayashi is the designer he is isn't the owner and the company has been making big errors not in products but in marketing, sales opportunities, and spending. I'm bummed about all this, we are doing what we can to help them because SYD has really shown they can make something special, different, and kick ass.
  18. No more Jbeam for Crazy I believe.
  19. Yes still have a 460 w/boron that I can really rely on. A more hollow great feel to it IMO. It's up there with the best of them
  20. I got along with the Srixon as well, have yet to try the Buchi but have some on the way.
  21. Cool, it's one of my all time favorite courses, did the waterfall behind the green have water? Great score man. Tee shot is so important there.
  22. This is interesting, we will ask jbeam about interchanging weights.
  23. It's not even that, what your talking about has gone on for more than 5 years. Our suppliers have been around longer than (NA). It pretty much boils down to Miura NA not liking us.. Like ever, far before the spin welded stuff. We have applied for a (NA) account 3 times now to be rejected each time for the most silly reasons while we watched them hand an account to every garage shop in the country. It's a bummer because we probobly would have done good business together over the years.
