  1. I had to check the url bar as I forgot what forum we were on for a second.
  2. It oozes quality. The design is beautiful and although it's for players with 92 miles or slower i still want to hit it. Perfect for its intended customer.
  3. When you add an adjustable sleeve or parts your adding weight in areas that hinder performance. So OEM's compensate by lightening other areas of the head and what this does is box them into a corner. Say TM for example, you can adjust just about everything but because of that they have far more design limitations in the future leaving their only option to reverse out of adjustability. Its not a matter of just adding an adjustable sleeve. If we did that to a driver not meant for it it's 6-8 grams to the hosel meaning they must reduce another area 6-8 grams then compensate for that loss somewhere else.
  4. Crazy but it's the hardest to fit no doubt. Quadra is good but still not as easy to fit as Tour AD's & Diamana's. Basileus is not bad if you need more spin or like slightly softer shafts than stated. Nothing wrong with them at all but for the price would be nice if they spent more on the carbon vs the finish.
  5. I guess thats the big question. Will ONOFF Forged 2012 be an improvement over the 2011's? I would like to see more of an evolution, perhaps a bit smaller with the same forgiveness.
  6. That's what I think to. They are doing it because they can. Oh what would my life be like without the personals. Hurry up Epon make new FW's Wedges, and Hybrids!!! Better yet make them for the same target as the Personals & Zen are made for...US! In the end more is better IMO. The limiteds are fantastic as they remind me of Ferrari's where it's very hard to buy brand new and they hold their value really really well. When the Zen sold out we had several offers well over MSRP for our last one. Tempting but nope its gonna stay in my display case at home. Oh man that is rough. lol. Anyway IF there is a new Epon 470 driver it shouldn't be an issue as you know there will be new players & semi players down the pipeline anyway. Paint it gold, white, and pink I don't care it wouldn't fit my game anyway and if it does I'm painting in black..:o)
  7. We like basileus for it's feel and style but not so much the performance. We noticed they play softer with more spin than other shafts.
  8. No need for alarm fellas, don't expect these to be retail. It's just some custom painted heads thats all. The clubs in the pictures are older models as well. LOVE the direction Epon is going. Personals, ZERO, ZEN. Limited models How can you not? Of course all the standard models are on schedule for updates along with a little something something in the works.... More options, more models, more limiteds is a good thing. The alternative would be like every year was before. fewer new releases and wait a long time for new models with nothing in between.
  9. Epons primary concern is not sales and I think that's a great thing. I'd rather have these unique niche models be limited over their meat and potatos line up. The good thing is when Epon says limited it actually is. Not like bigger JDM brands that produce thousands. i33 disappeared fast, ZEN is gone, not sure on personals but it's IMO the best blade ever. The ZERO got a bad wrap off the start but I've got it dailed in pretty well now and it's a great head. I was one of the first nay sayers due to forgiveness but hey I'm eating my foot as its been in the bag for almost 2 weeks and working very well. All they need now is a mid range line up along with wedges and new fairways.
  10. It's as if we need daily updates as to whats in your bag!
  11. My distances are a hair shorter. 5 yards I feel. Had rounds 4 & 5 this week, been playing lots of golf. One of the rounds I leaked right quite a bit leaving me longer than usual putts or chips, the other round I struck things perfectly as if were still married and gazing into each others eyes.
  12. these are classics and super soft castings at that. I used to have a set.
  13. Nothing wrong with bending your lofts a couple of degree's. Just means you will have to get dialed in again, no matter what shaft your using.
  14. Only the chassis, wheels, and other parts are carbon on the Koeniggsegg but still yea one of my top 5 for sure! The glory of the lexus is that they made their own CF, everything is pushing the envelopes of manufacturing stuff that has never been done before. These are applications and things never done in an automobile.
  15. No, whenever we find a name we like. So far we haven't. This isn't a big deal if we don't find one, we have more designs.
  16. This is too awesome! It makes the 375k the LFA costs look like a bargain! http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2012/07/the-making-of-the-lexus-lfa-supercar-an-inside-report-in-5-chapters/
  17. So yesterday I played my 3rd round with the Personals. Keep in mind I'm a 12 hcp and I shouldn't be playing muscle backs. Tested: 3-PW Epon Personals w/ KBS Tour Shafts in Stiff Flex. Custom Lie 1.5* flat. Standard Length & Grips. Round 1: The first 6-9 holes were pretty bad for me. I had a handfull of shots toward the heel that would skirt the ball low and slicing, the feel was still pretty nice for mis**ts not damaging to my hands like I have had with other blades and players CB's in the past. By the turn some pretty amazing shots surfaced and I started to dial them in and by the end of the round things were peachy. I was hitting them better and more accurately than my ONOFF Forged irons but I quickly wrote it off as the honeymoon period. Round 2: From hole 1 - 18 these delivered. That was fast! It usually takes me several rounds to dial anything new in. This is where I started to get that these are special indeed. First thing that stood out is just how amazing these feel. It's so pure. I had the AF-Tours in the past and dont remember them feeling this pure. Anyone who has both please chime in. AFTours are a bit more meaty and longer heel to toe but I don't recall them being this forgiving. Maybe I'm just hitting it well now days. The setup is nice not a butter knife but I prefer that. It inspires confidence. Round 3: I put the 3 & 4 irons in the bag because I was hitting the #5 extremely well. I'm back to 3-PW and boy do these feel pure. IMO these are in a class of it's own. I was expecting an increase in score without my beloved UT's but that was not the case. The short irons setup perfectly. The shape is second to none and they are very forgiving as far as blades go. I said it once and I'll say it again that Epon has the best two MB's on the market in the Personals & AF-Tours.
  18. Wish you could have taken pictures, I'm fascinated by how fakes are getting hard to identify.
  19. Like wise, I'm gaming a Ryoma Special Tune 10.5 w/ CB46. Mine is at 45" and I'm loving it!
  20. Man that CB is a 12 year old open model head. The blade well there have been many variations of it used by a variety of different companies. These are made by Kyoei and they basically have stamped their logo on a pre made design.
