Design Tuning Shafts?
No probably not there has been little interest. We need something special and different. TSG recognizes brands for their materials, tech, a person behind it. Crazy, Loop, 7D, Waccine, etc.. they either all make their own shafts or have an interesting design theory AND are made by someone top notch. There is an over abundance of great shafts that we find to fit our swings. With TourAD, Fujikura, Diamana etc.. there is also a lot of other well made shafts to consider as well.

JBEAM Galpha 445 Driver
The Galpha would be the least forgiving, lowest spin and least draw bias of those you mention. RD-450 is draw bias 535 is straight Glorious is draw bias ZY-11 known for straightness and low spin ZY-7 draw bias for straightness and low spin These are just how golf heads are designed with CGs closer to the heels and natural bias with the neck where it is. The weights dont do everything for us, they can simply increase head weight and slightly tune bias. Another thing that people dont realize is that all our irons are draw bias. The reason why they dont put CG locations in the dead center of the face is because it makes the club harder to square up. By simply shortening the hosel and reducing the weight toward the heel the cg moves toward the toe making it more fade bias. Even the most players blades are toward the heel of center.

Anyone have any knowledge about DERAMAX Shafts??
DERAMAX likely found a dealer in Thailand who got some buzz going but they are not considered hot anywhere else including Japan. When shopping for expensive shafts look at what they are made out of, is anything proprietary?, who makes it, etc.. In the case of DERAMAX. Its 4-Axis with graphite cloth based so its not what we consider advanced. Can it fit the player? Sure! Is it better than everything else, not even close.

JBEAM Galpha 445 Driver
The all new JBEAM 445 GALPHA – The forgiving players driver. The user feedback has been outstanding. The Galpha was released a couple of months back and has now had time to make its rounds. The Galpha is a 445cc driver with a fade bias by design. By adding a heavier weight to the heel you can bring the bias back to neutral and by using a lighter toe weight and closed face angle slightly promote a draw. That big bold and beautiful JBEAM face we all love so much made with a secret face titanium and head designed to produce a low spin / mid trajectory ball flight. The laser engraved face milling is supposed to stabilize spin a little as well as improve wet weather play. Its got a seriously deep face just the way Jbeam fans love their drivers. I now own the ZY-11 and JBeam Galpha as 2 of my main 3 gamers. It started off as the ZY-11 vs ZY-7 and I simply favored the foamed muted feel of the 11 and its strange extra tall face. The ZY-7 actually favors a draw more than the ZY-11 does. This Galpha sits between the 435 and the 535 which in my opinion would be the sweet spot. I love the 435 blackout.] Comparing the ZY-11 to the Galpha you can tell they are bothers but the experience is totally different playing a round with the two. Both are low spin just the way I need it. the Galpha launches slightly higher than the ZY11 yet the 11 is straighter more consistently. What the Galpha has that the ZY-11 doesn’t is those freaky long drives reminiscent of the 435 when hit in the center. As always with Tourspecgolf & Jbeam you have custom options galore. 9.5 – 12* lofts and everything in between is available and thats not only for lofts but also face angle and to some extent even lie angle. These are traditional hosels as purists always love but Jbeam hand picks heads efficently to TSGs requests as well as offers hosel reeming where they drill the hosel at an angle so the shaft and ferrule sits a little off but gives you the couple of degrees extra on top of the hand picked head. So you can have 3* open or close with a more or less upright lie angle. Shaved to exact COR, Foaming and custom head weights are also options along with the choice of black or white head paint colors. The head spec of the club in these photos is 10* 200g square face and none of it is designated on the head. These retail at $650 and we are able to help you choose a shaft to suit your needs. I personally use 7D, basileus AAA, and Waccine in the heads I have with fantastic results. JBeam heads have a reputation for spin reduction, distance, and being pretty easy to it. This club while designed for the better player can easily be confused as not based on how easy it is to hit. Its 445cc size can also be easily mistaken as 460cc.

Gravity Gyelin Putters - From the parent co of Waccine Compo
Golf gear is my passion, I share my opinions openly for the day I can't this will no longer be enjoyable work for me. Every product can be improved. Exactly as Bngolfer says look at the Benock thread, he just takes it to a whole other level. No one can compare. Also there is no best to everyone. I am working hard to bring the rest of SEVEN to the same standard as the new CB and MCB. That includes putters etc.. Rouge, your putter is absolutely bonkers. I hope its the best to you and it is absolutely one of the best to me. The head is made in Japan by Kitada while the modifications by golds factory, It is one of our true prototype heads I believe.

Reputable Tokyo Golf Shops
Used golf clubs are so expensive in Japan. Your way better off doing a WTB on forums. Victoria Golf for new stuff Golf 5, Nikki Golf for new stuff Golf Kids, Golf Partner for chain used stores Benock & Seven Dreamers would be where I would invest my time and money into while in Japan. Benock has a Tokyo & Kyoto location while Seven Dreamers has multiple as well. Best product, Best experience just pretty expensive but we deserve it sometimes. If you need help let me know.

Gravity Gyelin Putters - From the parent co of Waccine Compo
Gravity Golf has captured success in the distance shaft market. Harada-san realizes the game of golf is not just about big drives but the fun is in the scoring. Naturally, the next step they want to take was to develop a game changing putter! As seasoned golfers stack up the years, a common problem that most players will face is loss of distance on shots that require youthful power and physical flexibility. Full swing shots are no longer their strengths, and when it comes to putting, they lose the delicate smoothness and touch in their strokes. There is no right or wrong in putting styles. Even Tour players are spread out in a broad spectrum of putting styles. Thus, there are endless new putter introduced in the market year after year. A unique design is essential for survival in this competitive putter market. Click read more to continue… Gravity Golf’s President Harada-san knew that if he were to introduce a putter, the design had to be radical and innovative. Ironically, the majority of putters today are still designed after a toe-heel balance concept. The most basic putter using this concept is the “Cash In Putter” Harada-san eyed on the “Acushnet Bullseye” putter design. The CG is located on the shaft line which enables the most efficient energy transfer at impact. Only a small stroke is needed to roll the ball a certain distance. Harada-san was after a center shafted, toe-heel balanced head with a feel that is unique to a center shafted putter and of course it needed to be a blade! However, a center shafted putter with a toe-heel balance naturally has a rather large angular face movement. Which means that if you miss the sweet spot, distance and accuracy will significantly be sacrificed. To move forward with this design, he knew that he also had to overcome this major hurdle. For seasoned golfers, a problem they face in their putting stroke is that their hands don’t move as smooth as they used to. It’s a painful fate of aging that they cannot overcome. By incorporating a bent neck center shaft, Harada-san thought he could solve this problem. “I probably bent around 30 shafts to experiment. 10 with the help of Shimada shafts and the other 20 were bent in my garage! ” ” My family got really annoyed after a while … :) ” He ultimately settled on a 4 bend point shaft design. As Harada-san was testing the shaft using a Mallet head, former Tour Pro Hidemichi Tanaka provided guidance telling him that a bent center shaft would not work well with a large mallet because the CG is too far behind the shaft. Roll will be compromised. Harada-san decides to design a head that works with his 4 bend shaft. The head design they came up with was a ” six plane symmetry” design. Top plane vs sole, face vs back face, toe vs heel are all symmetrical. Here the Gyelin Putter was born! Six plane symmetry head, center shafted using a 4 bend shaft. Though the functional objectives were met, Harada-san wanted to make sure that the users of this putter will be overwhelmingly happy with it. He felt that the sound at impact was going to be equally important for a putter to feel good. They created a resonator gap between the face plate and the body to create a resonating sound. The resonator gap dimensions were adjusted to simulate the sound of the legendary Ping 1-A putter. Gyelin Putter heads come in two sizes. A thin bladed design called the “Gyelin 4S” and the wider mallet profile “Gyelin 6S” A Limited Edition Gold IP face version is the “GRY10.” The “GRY20” uses a silver plated face. Then there is a head only version only available thru their certified fitting studios in a Satin finish called “GRY30. ” Users can choose between a goose neck bend and a reverse goose neck bend.

And here's another one. This is the one I would choose. White Satin w/ Matte Silver cavity paint!

I would say yes. I cant speak for others but from my experience both have that sticky feel.

Miura CB-2008 by TSG Club Works!
The answer to that is complicated. We are all different with so many variables. What is soft to me may be hard to you and that can be due to the shaft, grip, or swing that day. Each finish can change feel for the discerning player. but so can the shaft, grip, design of the club head. I think black mirror is sticky. Black IP is durable because its applied with the chome mirror plating. it feels slightly firmer with IP. Finish is a strange thing, Its a risky business when something can contaminate the pot, break it, etc... I have sent clubs to almost every aftermarket finishing company online or our customers have. The quality out there is terrible especially outside of Japan.

Miura CB-2008 by TSG Club Works!
Yesterday we showed you a set of Miura CB-2008’s with black mirror finish and charcoal gray cavity paint. Today we bring you Japan black IP with black gloss cavity paint! Which do you prefer? or will you wait to see what we bring tomorrow before deciding ;) . Japan black IP is a very durable and high quality finish that looks outstanding. Its the best black you can get when done right, and these are. In Japan Black IP the shape looks improved from all angles. It looks like it has less offset in black. Its really the black IP finish that is making these look so flawless. This CB-2008 has a nice wide sole with killed leading edge. This sole can work for low to high handicap players.

Miura CB-2008 by TSG Club Works!
Yes It would have more distance if it had a stainless face yet that would also compromise feel, exactly as you say. One benefit may be they can produce a larger more forgiving head that isn't as heavy. Another possibility is they want the face forged in japan and final process like the weld and finish. Some parts come from Taiwan I believe. I do think its obvious the quality is better when the Miura club is 1 piece and made 100% in Japan like their MG and Legacy models. The 1 piece designs by Miura have the highest quality fit and finish from any club in Himeji imo. To me irons are all about accuracy and feel and the overall experience of the round as a whole, I prefer a new set of irons or wedges to a new wood any day. Most people go crazy over drivers. Feel, look, and sound is so important to me when it comes to irons. An interesting shoot out would be the Epon P3s vs these CB-2008s.

Miura CB-2008 by TSG Club Works!
You are looking at a very custom set of the new Miura CB-2008 irons. How is this one different than the standard model? Its all cosmetics we took the heads and stripped the finish off of them and then sent it to our Japanese factory that does our black mirror finish. Black Mirror is very similar to chrome mirror, but it has a deep dark hue to it. Refinishing a 2-piece club head is not easy especially when it has an undercut, the finish can’t adhere to all areas of the inner cavity, so our next step was to send this to a golf specific paint factory that specializes in painting OEM wood heads and iron cavities. One issue we ran into was that we found pitted steel in particular areas of the club head which we had to use a tiny grinder and polish off before sending it back to the painting factory. The photo above shows the top line, its beautiful and thin and the face has a near perfect heel to toe length. The one issue I have with these is the amount of offset. In some finishes its hard to see in others more evident. We took things a step further and decided to paint beyond the outside of the inner cavity as it had the perfect lines to do so. The photo above shows this well. This gives it a unique look which is nothing like the stock set sold. A photo of the sole shoes a nice curved leading edge but due to the two piece construction the number on the sole is slightly pushed to the left. The solution to this was a simple one, engrave the number instead of press. Unfortunately, that process costs more. The paint color in the cavity is called charcoal gray. We have more sets we will be posting in coming weeks with different head finishes and interior cavity paint colors. The CB-2008’s shape face on is nice. The 2008 is very easy to hit with a pretty good soft feel which is uncharacteristic of most two piece heads. Distance is what is expected based on a 45* PW. Miura went with a stainless body and forged face which leads me to believe feel was of the utmost important. If distance was their goal, they could have gone with a forged body and stainless face similar to other two-piece distance irons. We will only be producing 1 set 5-PW exactly like this. It will be in the TSG pro shop in just 1-3 days from now with a quantity of 1 set. We are not sure how long they will last, but in total it took us two months to complete the process you see here. These heads traveled to many different factories and had specialty work done that no one else offers.

Itobori yes or no
We were actually at full price for a long time. 100% retail following his rules. There was always a lot of indecisiveness and stupidity coming from Mayuki Takai. All his dealers push him around and he constantly bends to their will. One way he thought he could appease them is trying to implement the dumbest rule I have ever heard of restricting TSG from selling new products for 1 full year. Then 1 year later we can sell the item to our customers. You cant make this stuff up. He agreed with our advice to lower the retail but then his accounts said no... he is not in charge. He could have avoided this mess with simple communication and negotiation but nope, instead he vanished and did not fulfill his end of the deal. Then we mark down, he puts that text up on his website and things are bad.

Titleist JP wedges
Do I have it right that at the moment its 2000 bucks for 3 wedges and 500 each additional with an in person fitting only?
-
Itobori yes or no
So lets first address what they claim: that TSG may be selling fake itobori products... Who here really thinks TSG has sold anything fake ever? Their only claim is false. TSG was in agreement to deliver on: 1. supply photos and build website www.itorborigolfclubs.com . ( visit website for proof ) 2. teach his team of dealers about photography, equipment, technique . ( look at his dealers photos and see similarities ) 3. create price sheets, order forms and file sharing network for his dealers . ( I can post all of these up! ) 4. design aesthetics and ideas for future products . ( genrei stamping, smooth sole option, genrei blade, itobori stamp ) We delivered 100% He then very cowardly disappeared and caved to his dealers request to get rid of TSG. We gave him every chance to mediate the situation but he was silent. He then saw marked down prices on TSG and put that garbage up on his website. So lets take a look at what Itobori is: - open model head cost 2000 yen, finish cost 1500 yen, his grinding as seen on youtube he touts takes 20min.. Thats $40 + labor to create a wedge that retails for $350. 850% mark up ok with you guys? - They stamped Made in Japan on a driving iron made in China. First excuse was because import department required it, second excuse was it was finished and paint filled in Japan... truth is they were trying to mislead the consumer. below more examples of this: - Hammer Forged - They market the genrei is hammer forged, implying its forged by hammer. load of bull! - They claim the grind on the back of the driver is made to control ball flight - anyone believe this? - That Mayuki Takai makes all the wedges by his own hand. Ive seen first hand this is not true. - Saying their shaft ( actually a sanki ) is made of 110T, its made of 90T - They have argued they tell their customers the woods, putter, and driving iron are made in China. There is just a steady flow of bull shit from these guys. But on the positive side he is a skilled grinder and I do acknowledge his style. What you will see is his distributors supporting him strong because no other brand is offering them $250 bucks profit on a single wedge. Guys the bottom line is if your going to spend $350 a head at least get something original design or demand the dealer give you 50% off. Never buy an Itobori at full price as for what it is $175 per head would be about right. I do have some Itobori stock I can clear out if anyone is interested at 50% off.

The Benock Putter Thread!
I think full CNC is too expensive, today brands CNC just parts of the head to keep costs in check. It started with the back face, then face milling, and now sole grinds are being milled. The extreme end of this would be the fully milled SEVEN CB and MCB how the hosel, neck and entire shape is milled. Benock is the worlds best putter maker. His capabilities are far beyond anyone else. He can create or edit cad for each customer and makes every putter bespoke. His machines, software, and technology is beyond as well.

Titleist JP wedges
These wedges are beautiful. JP now has the abilities of Titleist's resources now. what a dream! He is going the CNC and multi piece route. Originally James Patrick was hired to work with Titleist Japan. It has morphed into a separate brand. He is now in Cali and this new JP brand is a USA release first. What a great story! I can already picture what his irons could look like.
