  1. The new 900MD by PRGR was just released on the 10th. The MD stands for mid size blade or what I would call a neo blade. Review to come when the weather gets better.
  2. They have actually made prototypes of this putter in SS303 with and without ingots as well as the Forged version with ingots. SS303 killed the soft feel you guys love so much, I hit it and its a crisp completely different sensation. Personally I prefered the forged steel over the SS for this putter. The ingots in the forged version added 20 grams to the head weight putting it just below 370 so it wasn't ideal for play. Good putters play 340-350 grams. guys with super slow greens and a not as refined stroke will benefit from the 370g range.
  3. In regards to the newer version of the blade, Its just not forgiving enough for most peoples swings. Its got a paper thin top line and a tiny head, shots missed high on the toe will shake you especially during the cold season. There are many other blades out there that are easier to hit. If your a plus handicap with incredible ball striking skills these may be a good fit for you, If not your probably buying for the blade cool factor. Nothing wrong with a players CB IMO. I'm all over europe right now, then back to Japan then...who knows? Travel is my ultimate high, the golf in the E.U is not like it is in the states or Japan. Its actually very expensive and some courses have very poor service ( especially in Italy ). The worse part is finding a good club maker each place I go. I would have to rank Japan first due to the pure luxury of the sport and how they really soak each round to its capacity, then San Diego with its many nearby great courses and good playing weather most of the year and in third Hawaii, challenging wind conditions, great service, and a ton of awesome courses within an hour of no matter where you are at.
  4. They are being shafted with NS1150's for pick up in a few days.
  5. I haven't had much time with my PT-6 to tell you. Initial findings are that the PT-6 has a slightly higher ball flight than the M65 and kicks harder. It reminds me of the diamana red or the W60 with a mid instead of lower kick point. Many X-Drive 435's with this new GD PT shaft just shipped a few days ago so we should be getting more than a few reviews coming to us soon.
  6. Its cool to see everyones different suggestions. JET, can you tell me what shaft your playing now and what is happening? I would recommend these 3 options for your 105 SS and a higher trajectory. - Axiv 6064L If your swing speed is a solid 105. - Diamana Red, very easy to hit and will get the ball up quick - Graphite Design M55 or W60 both have higher trajectories and are user friendly
  7. Are you talking the blade or the new CB? If its the blade I dont suggest them at all.
  8. The X-Drive is more square and feels more solid, its the XD405 but a tad more hollow and soft. The PRGR is easier to hit and in 9* has the same trajectory as the 10.5 X-Drive, I also like the PRGR's feel it has a soft hollow muted sound. I don't know which I like better at this point :tsg_smiley_no:
  9. Not the best images but I hope they hold you over for now. Better pics coming soon! XD-435 TR-X Black
  10. Are you asking, what happens to the equipment I buy for testing and images after I am done with it? Everything we shoot I purchase, it is not given so I end up selling it. I have a few loyal customers who snatch that stuff up in a heartbeat. Those things I sell are usually sell at my cost.
  11. From what I hear they are 10 yds longer than almost everything on the market. Im still debating if I should get one with a steel shaft. Callaway Japan says its got the most technology of any FW on the market.
  12. We just got the account with these guys, If your interested in a particular cover PM me the image or model name and I can get it. Prob is they are often sold out and take a while due to the back order.
  13. Sorry these are sold out, I can only get the non prototype version which doesnt have the Insert.
  14. For my swing the Mizuno UX2 with NS850 has dominated the bag for quite a while, I have had the older ViQ UT's, they get up easy and land soft with that great turbo rubber feel. The 320CX is better made than all three IMO but didn't perform as well as the UX2, It too was easy to get airborne like the ViQ as well as felt incredible off the face. Performance would have to come down to your shaft selected, NS850 provides a mid/low trajectory for me with increased accuracy over any graphite shaft. You could select any of these 3 UT clubs and be very happy provided you put a shaft you know that works for you in it. I have not hit the new G-Field UT or new ViQ yet.
  15. We are very fortunate golf is an affordable sport in the U.S, where as in almost every other country on earth its for the upper class only. Its actually very simple, The U.S market is not willing to dish out the same big money the Japanese do on golf equipment or green fees for that matter. That prevents the large OEMs from adding new more expensive technologies into the design or better standard shaft options. If the club is not marketable for the majority it only makes sense to leave it out of the line up. Its all about making money. In the Japanese market they sell both U.S and JDM golf clubs openly and the U.S clubs are far less expensive, yet its still a very tiny market there. Import equipment in the U.S is a fraction of 1% of all golfers. Yes TSG'ers we are a tiny tiny group of hard core enthusiests. The reps don't like to talk about it or give it any light because they make commision off of what they sell and if they cant offer JDM products there isn't any money for them to be made personally. It only makes sense that the U.S OEMs would rather you not find out about whats available on the other side of the pond.
  16. Yes they will be! I dont have all the G-Field gear in yet so that bag is not complete as it says. right now I have no standard set. But I do have these to choose from to build my new setup, whatever works best for me is going to make it in: - PRGR 900MD 4-PW ( released yesterday ) - Tourstage XCB2 4-PW ( released today ) - Miura WMF-03 wedges - Crews triple sole milled wedges - Zodia premium chrome - X-Drive 435 w/PT-6 ( released today ) - PRGR T3 ( released yesterday ) Some of those items are in,but the majority are on their way to me right now, there will be many pics taken and a show down to see what knocks the NC-1s out of the bag.
  17. Yes it is an awesome putter, This is what I have in the bag right now! its got a 360 gram head via the two tungsten ingots located in its face which also prevents head twisting. The plumbers neck really helps me out as I have a bias toward anser putters. It comes with the NS Pro 130 gram putter shaft.
  18. The MB's rock! They are along the same lines in regards to performance and feel as the NC1 and MB2's. There is a rumor that G-Field is working on a prototype of the 05 MB with a cavity to replace the MB2 in the U.S market.
  19. Last week in Tokyo, Callaway had their new release press event and featured some new products. The new Callaway Tri ball putter was one but also the X-18CF which is the conforming version of the Japan only X-18 driver. In America there is a version of the X-18 minus the carbon crown called the X460 driver. There is also another version of the ERC HOT called the ERC HOT tour which is also USGA conforming, there is a rumor about that it could be fully titanium instead of part carbon. There is also a couple of new fairway woods in town, the X-tour and X-18. The X-tour features a stainless steel head and is geared toward the mid to low handicapper. the X-18 has a larger profile and is rumored to take the place of the big bertha series in 2006. On the left you see the new X-tour FW and on the right the X-18 FW, the X-18 model is the same size as the current big bertha FW. Here are images of the new utility wood from ben hogan. Not much info but hope you enjoy the pic.
  20. Sorry to get you guys worked up so soon, these wont hit the Japan market until late Feb.
  21. Nothing but sound design, heavier weights placed in the rear of the lower loft versions, a square face, and a pretty decent looking face profile. Its the retro look that takes some getting used to but I cant think of many FW's that pack all those features into one.
  22. The new GFT is made of steel not titanium. The price will be reduced for the U.S market but it will come shafted with the NV65 installed instead of a graphite design.
  23. Available with any high end shaft you wish from Fujikura, Graphite Design, Diamana, Axiv and more!
  24. The ultramans were expensive and are now sold out, my #1 is still the black Adidas boxing glove because it fits up to 460 and works as an actual glove for your hand.
