Photos Gauge Irons, Can't talk, Hit today, Took off plastic
TourSpecGolfer replied to FAQ's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I had the same problem, I was hitting my Irons one and a half clubs longer than the X-blade Cb's, These puppies are long and you will have to re adjust your yardage thinking. Where I would be hitting a 6 iron from I now hit an 8. I hit an 8 Iron w/Graphite 170 the other day :surprize: -
In your opinion what is the best fairway wood out in Japan?
TourSpecGolfer replied to Breal's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
According to the last issue of golf style the players not forced to play their sponsors FWs are playing: -PRGR Duo hit -Mizuno MP001 O/S -Royal Collection BBD Type H and S.F.D type H -Taylormade V-Steel T/S 13* -Nike FW -Callaway Steel head 3 -
Im not 100% posotive but from the top of my head: R7 M.A.X = Japan non conforming R7 = retail model lower C.O.G about a .5 closed face R7 TP = Square face higher C.O.G better shaft options R7 TP Tour = square - open face ( same as TP ) depends on the player it was built for. R7 XD = ???? maybe it will come, but it will be an R7 with some kinda new technology. R12 = :spit:

Hi James, Welcome to the site! The R7 is not replacing the R5 series, It is just an additional driver in their line up. So far there is the R7 M.A.X, R7, R7 TP and R7 Tour. My guess is the R7 XD will come out in 4 months and then the R7XD Tour..lol

Pics of the new Taylormade R.A.C Driving Iron
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I have them pre sale now but they will be released June 30th. I am shipping all pre sales out on the 31st via 2-4day EMS express, that way you WILL be the first to have it in the states. show up at the local pro shop with these and blow your pros mind. -
Tear Drop japan has some pretty far out there designs :surprize:
-
They all have different purposes the club catalog is just that specs, pricing, pro's & cons and ratings for every club released that year. I love that, its always in my hand while I'm on the computer. Then there is golf style that shows all the clubs and specs etc of all the JPGA men and women, I like their bags better because most of them still play what they want. Golf Today has the great inside access first but by the time the mag hits the states its old news. The special edition books are the best with high quality pictures. The masters edition of golf classic has become very popular over the last 3 years. The weekly issues have the least pics yet hold the tiny pics of the underground stuff like: XR05 Driving Iron, Scotty tungsten putter, and a ton of other special edition goodies. There is the designer in TM japan who takes care of the special edition JPN stuff the Cti, XR05, 04, rescue jpns, etc etc he is just cranking out all kinds of funky protos that are great. I'm thinking about dropping my R7 for a Cti and re shafting it.
-
Soon my friends! They will all be up in the Catalog every single darn one of them dozens and dozens of items direct from the Adidas Taylormade shop in Japan. The designer did many of the Japan Callaway design shirts and the up coming Gauge Style apparel line.
-
JPGA got 16 gauge Japan putters in play. several of these guys are paid to play them. 3 of them are in the top 10.

I couldnt find the old thread for these pics but decided to post them again with the release of the R7.

They look great! :surprize: I just ordered a couple from Ari in 3xBlk with pink fill. I used to have antiques and they were the softest finish I have hit to date. They look really good after they rust and really get that antique look. The grind on your wedges look wonderful can you tell us more about the specs and why?

These came out with no hype..but they ROCK!!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yeah Japans got all the cool Nike stuff, Copper wedges, T100, Nike 380 Ignite, Nike Air Bidan ball, Titanium face pro combos, and a few others. Its amazing how poor their marketing is yet how great the product. Imagine if Nike offered Satin custom stamp like Mizuno Japan does! :surprize: hmmm Nike Satin blades with the swoosh in top center. -
I agree, I'm thinking of swapping out the PX's for NS pro 1050's. NS makes such user friendly shafts and I'm a light shaft kinda guy. Great thing about them is they offer R, SR, S, & X flex's. I play 850's in my wedges because they help my feel.
-
I think they are softer than MR23 Cb's when struck well. I noticed the COG is pretty low on these making them easy to get up in the air yet the lofts are jacked up so they go looong. Its really a great sensation, but your first round you may be flying the greens and mis judging distance. The long Irons have a more shallow face with a deep cavity for an extra low COG. I love being able to hit a 3 iron with no problem  These are sold out until July and even then I can only get 3 sets. good thing is I offer pretty much any high end shaft you want, even the hard to get Japanese NS pro 1050, 950, 850 - PX 6.0, 6.5, 7.0 - S300, X100 - Diamond Rifle, Rifle 110, Rifle 90's and other Japan only shafts. Half cord grip also an option in red, blue, Grey & black. My new shaft of choice is the NS pro 1050 in Irons and NS pro 850 G.H in wedges.

Oh yes their are better mags I suggest these for pics and info: 2004 Gakken Sports Mook Golf Catalog 11.00$ Golf Style 9.90$ Golf Gear Guide also for the deep stuff i really enjoy the weekly golf mags, thats right 4 issues a month, lots of great little pics like in the recent issue Scotty CT with tungsten ingots done by scotty. PRGR type 405. There are 3 different weekly golf mag companies so its very easy to spend 130.00 a month if you want all the mags. Golf Today rocks in regards to inside scoops, thats if you can translate it.
-
I can sell them but they will be much more than the U.S models due to the different margins and industries. I will add the R7 TP pre-sale to the catalog site asap. They will be cost about: R7 TP ( conforming japan ) Graphite Design I-65 Tour AD = 1050.00 R7 TP ( conforming japan ) Mitsubishi Diamana = 999.00 R7 TP ( conforming japan ) Fujikura 661 = 999.00 They are scheduled to be released mid July.
-
Your going to have to wait a tad, the Japan models are not available until mid July, by then the R7XD will be out :bulls**t:............. .

oh yes I am, I find this club to be the compromise between Taylormade forgiveness and Tourstage feel. I am so happy with this club. I switched for two rounds to the Synergy Deep which is also open face and the best dual composite club I have ever hit but kept wanting to hit the JC 371 proto. I ordered a 2nd one with a square face instead of the stock 1 degree open. It was a pain to get and No I'm not doing it for any customers :spit: The new JC is long and strong and even with the open face i was hitting it great, I may just keep the open face model but we will see when the square comes in. I have to wait 2 more weeks.
-
Its a magazine, probably the 3rd best golf magazine in Japan. Nice inside scoops. I will post some pics from the July Issue this week. Whats crazy is how long it takes to get to the U.S, that was one major ago..lol I could buy it from the convenience store and ship a month and a half faster than the mag shops take to get them. :-D

These came out with no hype..but they ROCK!!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
ya know, the website only shows the womens model but the demo I had was NSPro Stiff flex, and the only displays I see in stores are for men. -
Yup same here the JC rocks in terms of feel and forgiveness, but if you want an X-Drive I highly recommend the non pro spec models. I have been killing the high Rally version , it is so much easier to hit over the pro spec models due to the weight bias and .5 closed face. The performance is like night and day in terms of demanding. The X-390 High C.O.R is like a big F-ST as well as a Cannon!!
