I didn't see a single ad for these Utility's in Japan, Absolutely no hype or advertising was done for their release, Its like Nike Japan is sleeping, their website is rarely updated and they seem overwhelmed with sales. They feel so pure and well built I am amazed and wish Nike made their entire line of woods just like these. I got the demo for the weekend and have played two rounds which both were a big success. I was hitting the 17* version with an NS pro 950 G.H shaft out of semi deep ruff and some very hard pan lies. Its feel is what got me and its just flat out simple to use with the NS shaft shaft.

Mizuno Japan custom wedge pics
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I ordered 4 custom wedges at the same time as my set. 2 for me and 2 for sale. In my honest opinion I have never ever seen better looking wedges. Its just to flawless. -
Let me make a couple suggestions that I'm almost positive you will be happy with. 1) The Fourteen TB-1000 proto Irons, they are very forgiving with great feel just stunning to look at. 2) The Srixion Pro 100's, they have great ratings all across the board and they arnt your average blade.

Yeah thats a good idea, I'm kinda pissed at mizuno myself and had to sell the irons to another equipment freak. I will be giving them another try and have contacted them to see if they will do something very special to remedy the problem. I want copper under layer  I know they don't do that but I have a pal who is in tight with their #3 guy. What are you looking at XXIO? I'm always up to hearing another Ho's Idea's  I know PI gets all the Japan gear so I think your taste would be pretty close to mine.

Oh yeah your right, I forgot about Durian, that stuff makes natto look like cheese cake. :yuk:

There are 2 Taylormade Adidas Apparel shops in the Tokyo area, they stock all the Japan only clothing and accesories. The average shirt is 85.00+ the style and designs of the adidas line are stunning. I love the Japan shoes also, here are some pics :

6 weeks huh  I was quoted 2 weeks from Mizuno Japan and ended up waiting 12. After waiting 12 then getting the set I dont want really kills me.

If Maru Chan wins..... - Tourstage will make a ton of limited edition clubs - The X-drive2 should be released to the public - Zomo will have a field day with the Victory - Graphite design may decide to launch his proto shaft - More people will eat rice and fermented soy beans for breakfast.

I have had to many problems with Mizuno U.S, talk about a pain in the butt, the headweights are all over the charts. I had to go with Japan for several reasons the Y stamp, the M stamp, the MP-27s. These are all D2 3-9 and D3 PW, with NSpro 950's that means the heads are made heavy.

Finally they have arrived. I opened the box with tons of anticipation to be disappointed by my order being wrong. These are Chrome not Satin like I ordered. I have two options, 1) return them and wait another 3 months for the satin version 2) keep them and be happy. I selected #2, These Custom Mizunos are shafted with NS pro 950 G.H Stiff shafts with a real cool blue M stamp label and better yet custom/ TOUR serial #s starting with Y with three digits written in gold. This set has no Mizuno text and the M stamp snug in the lower toe area They are a combo set of MP-27s, MP-30s, and MP-37s   :money:

I have been reading that there is a revolution in the super alloy industry and some call it liquid metal others call it metallic glass. In some cases its 300% more elastic than Titanium is and I have seen tests on video where they drop ball bearings against steel vs titanium vs metallic glass and the results are amazing. The National Institute of Science technologies is now working on building these into multiple applications. Some steels even have memory where they will bend back to its original form no matter what. Other metals have been built into fenders on cars then dented but when you dump hot water on the fender the metal returns to its original form. wouldnt that be nice! :surprize: I also found an article in popular mechanics about liquid metal aka metallic glass: The chart at left shows that Liquidmetal is as strong as steel while less dense. At right, Liquidmetal outstrips both steel and titanium in elasticity My question is: Who is using this? It cant be the brand liquid metal golf because their products are pretty much :poop: Is this technology for real or is it old news that couldnt be implemented into golf clubs correctly? Anyone got info on this technology? Wouldnt this increase the core if its so elastic?

What are the best CB irons from Japan and Tour Issue?
TourSpecGolfer replied to rob445545's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Sorry Rob the XCBs replace the 202s they are very similar in performance. -
Do you know about your Fusion?
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It must work to some extent but cant be all that much, hmmm Internal weight bias + Lead Tape + weight screws and this is on the JPGA not average players. R7 is still longer and better than most clubs despite this. Also TS girls R7 which lives in the trunk of my car has screws rusting after 4 months  -

Do you know about your Fusion?
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Callaway Japan in Shimbashi Tokyo is offering a limited edition custom Fusion + with only 500 pieces made for the public. The fitting is $210.00 and it must be in person at the Callaway headquarters in Tokyo. The loft options are from 8.5 - 13 with 9 different bias and gravity positions. I just think its something very cool that more brands should be offering. I'm also hearing that in the Tour TP R7's their is a bias per request option for tour players and that many are taking advantage of this. My question is whats the need for an internal weight bias if they have the plugs? -
Speaking of solid wedges, I think Fourteen low bounce is sweet and these new puppies " The wedges in the pics are called " Grind Studio Wedges " Here are some pics of what they look like before the hand grinding:
