Have to agree with Mike on this. I've gone to a more upright finish and my back thanks me for it after every round. I've had back problems all my competitive life so anything that alleviates the problem is welcome. This is supposed to be a lifetime sport, is it not?
  2. I tend to side with FAQ on this. Hedge on the flex if you must, but play the head the way it was designed to be played. Or go with another shaft if the combo truly does not suit your swing.

Try Quantum Golf by Kjell Enhanger.
  4. I started with an interlock then switched after just a couple of years. Don't even remember why I did. Switched back for a brief spell while rebuilding my swing a few years ago but only for a couple of months. I've been happy with the overlap since.
  5. My idea came because I am an excellent Ultimate (frisbee) players. And to throw a disc right handed requires the same shoulder turn as a left handed golf shot. anyhow I think I am going to stick to the right side, mainly for the clubs, but I had some success with a grip change tonight! There is HOPE! I flirted with that notion for a bit because I used to be a top amateur tennis player with the backhand as my stronger wing. I've since come to realize that it's my right hand that produces power in my swing. My motion is kinda like throwing the club at the ball (if that makes sense), anyway, it's a swing thought that helped me along the way. As an aside, I've made great progress with my swing this year. Tweaked it to get rid of the occasional 'wild one'. It flat out works now. As soon as I get comfy with the Rossa, I know I'm gonna find a home in the 70's. Good luck, Pete. Hang in there.
  6. I've got a buddy that's a lefty but learned to play right handed because he couldn't find nice left handed equipment. He plays to an 18 but has days that he doesn't know what's gonna happen when he steps up to the ball. Unless you're ambidextrous, you need to play on your dominant side.

Pete, you need to chill, step back and look at your problem. When you hit a good shot, you're normally target oriented, not focused on mechanics. The zen equivalent is the concept is called "no mind" where execution is perfect and you're hardly aware of the act itself. That said, concentrate on your set up. If you must think of some part of your swing, I'd focus on the transition at the top of the swing, make it syrupy. If you can maintain your spine angle, you should hit a pretty decent shot. Most importantly, keep it simple. Trying to do too much will aggravate things. Good golfing! :D
