The New Callaway Fushion Tour Issue Pic!
I notice that it doesn't have the bore through shaft that the retail callaways do. Wonder what kind of difference that makes to the club's performance? Anyone?

Tourstage X-01&X-01s
They both play a bit firm, with a pronnounced 'click' off the clubface. This is not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned. It actually helps me with my putting by giving me a lot of feedback for better distance control.

The what driver should I buy next thread
Of the 05 models, I want the Cleveland Comp 460 or the Mizuno Mp-001 460 8.5* with either the Fuji Vista Pro 60 X, or the GD YS-7 X. Cost no object; R7TP with Mitsubishi Diamana or GD Tour AD I65.

x tours....for sale or not for sale
Haven't been interested in Callaway irons since the Bobby Jones blades. These look interesting to me. Maybe it's because I'm getting old... :tired:

The Highest C.O.R driver
2006 should be the last year that non-conforming drivers will be made in Japan. In 2007 (according to my sources) all clubs produced should conform to the USGA and R&A joint memorandum on COR effective worldwide in 2008. Then the party's over, everyone'll have to play conforming drivers. Like you said in another post, Chris, that's many drivers from now. :smile1:

Here is the pic of the new PRO V1 and Pro V1X
Thanks Joe! Have you played them yet? Are the new ones better?

New Driver Question (Titleist or Cleveland Comp)
I think the two will be very different. The Titleists (905t and 905s) should approximate the playing characteristics of the 983 k & e but larger and more forgiving in size. Cleveland's launchers have always been flat out easy to hit. I think you'll see these characteristics continued in the new models, meaning the titleists will be prefered by better players and the Cleveland will be very easy to hit. What's better for you depends on what you're looking for.

Vijay's back to his R7
He must've put it back in play then. Any issues with it sorted out in the Cleveland tour truck, no doubt. He still with the Bet or did he put the NC Milled back in play too? edit: Just checked Getty Images again. No new pics of Vijay. edit again: Just saw the coverage on the tube. He's back to the 460 Comp and NC Milled. Wonder what that was all about.

Vijay's back to his R7
Nope, was on Getty Images. You can clearly see it's the R7 in more than one pic. Also, you can see other pics that show a gold colored anser shaped putter. My guess is he went back to the Bet he started with when he went back to the conventional putting style. Maybe the others are right. Maybe he wanted some adjustments done on the Cleveland and just put the R7 he won with last year in play.

Vijay's back to his R7
Hey Vijay's put his R7 back in play for the Buick. He was playing pretty goood with the Cleveland. Wonder why he switched back. Seems he switched back to his Bettinardi, too.

wobbly putting stroke
A wobble off the blade is an indication of poor contact on the blade or trying to manipulate the blade at impact. I play pool and to put spin on the cue ball, you vary the point of contact and the angle of the strike. If you want your putt to roll true, you must make contact on the sweet spot of your putter and you must contact the ball at it's equator as it sits on the ground. Position the ball under your left eye. This slightly forward position will naturally allow for a slightly ascending hit on the ball, promoting overspin and true roll. It also allows you to see directly down the target line. I agree that the putting stroke is not linear but like other swings we make, a small arc. So for accuracy, alignment of the arc towards the target is key. But the key ingredient is good contact. I have a rather unsual practice routine to work purely on my putting stroke and quality of contact. I putt on my bathroom's linoleum floor along a line created by the tiles towards a wall 6 or so feet away. A perfect strike sends the ball rolling true to the wall and directly back to my putter blade. This grooves my putting stroke. I work out distance when I get to the practice green confident that my stroke is pure. One man's solution to the quandry that is golf.

VT Monza-AKA the "Stealth Bomber"
Had a brief stint with the first Monza when it came out. Felt good at first, honeymoon ended too quickly for me though. I want to like mallets (they look so much cooler!) but I guess the anser style head just suits my eye and putting stroke better.

Mizuno guidance required - custom builds and MP32/MX23
As you can see from my sig, I'm still using T-Zoids (True Forged blades). I suffered from the same ball flight problems you do, but the T-Zoids fixed that. I have TT DG S300 Sensicore shafts in them have had since the beginning. The MP-37s have the same lofts as my Zoids and have flight patterns with the same shaft. MP-32s are nice too, similar lofts and lies as my Zoids and the 37s but haven't hit them enough to tell for sure, but in range sessions they felt very close. Retail MP-37 or 32 should be fine for you. Key is the shaft. S300 will give lower ball flight than the other stock shafts. Hope this helps.

UPDATE WITH REVIEW: 2005 Gauge M/B custom irons by Joe Kwok
You can see the soles are a bit thicker than most blades. That indicates a good amount of wait down low for forgiveness. I love the machining marks on the back of the blade and the squarish toe at address; a lot like my Mizunos. Thanks for the pics!

Singh's Comp & Quigley's Fusion 460
Fusion is till 360cc I think that is the new Big Bertha that is 454cc. There's a new 454cc Fusion. Not yet released, tour only, so far. With Tiger and Vijay going to 460cc heads, is there any doubt that this is the newest trend in drivers?

Titty new iron 735 and 660 will make a debut soon.
Without having seen the new Nike CBs, I'd have to say the Srixons. Forgiving, soft feel and workable.

Longest most forgiving driver
I'm for the Cleveland, too. Can't wait to hit the Comp. I loved the 460 NC-X (non-conforming).

X01 and X01s
Hey Toby! Just saw this post. X01 seems to spin more the s is kinda like the V1x. Gone back to Dunlop DDH Tour Special super-softs (green). Not too long off the tee, but they stop dead on the greens. They're cheap, too.
