Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearPete I have to agree with Mike...mallets are bad. Don't stop using that sweet putter you have. On a different note how have the rest of you guys been? Andy, Mike, Shoe, Lance? Earlier this week I shot a 74 then went to play again and completely lost it. Actually was 2 under on the front nine (34) and then 40 on the back. Wish I could have shot 37 on the back for my first round under par. I am running out of summer time to accomplish this...back to work on August 1. I hope you all are having a great weekend. Alan

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWell I know how you fell Pete. Rain here from Tropical Depression Denise...Tropical Depression when it got to Tennessee...go figure. Did get to the range and the swing was rusty since I have not picked up a club in a week due to nagging neck pain...I can not do anything and it hurts or I can play golf and be in pain. Andy congrats on the first round with the son...I am sure there will be many more. I would take 76 right now Mike with the way the swing felt I figure a lot more tomorrow.

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearPete...welcome back...I have been wondering about you. Good to hear you are getting settled in and good luck with the new job. Guys the mp32 have knocked the cobras out of the bag (for now) and I will be keeping the cobras to use as backups...just got to extend the shafts. Andy once again thank you for the wonderful work you did on these and suggesting the s400 shafts. These things are great. I had a great fourth weekend. Went out on the lake for two days in a row...rode a tube for the first time in about 15 years and rode a jet ski that does about 70mph also. That thing is superfast and will get to top speed in about 3 seconds. 215 hp jetski. I got to hang out with my nephews and watch fireworks and it was great. I guess I have to get back to the golf game since I haven't played in 4 days. Hope everyone had a great 4th!

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearShoe when you sacrifice the goat be sure to keep East TN in mind in your seance. It is as dry here as a popcorn fart....although I am hitting some of the longest drives I have ever hit due to the hard and fast course. 2 day tournament tomorrow...hope the rounds do not take forever. Format is take the best drive and play your own in from there and count the best score. Had a horrible practice round...arguing with the wife during part of it...hopefully will have the bad shots out of the way. I hope all of you are having a great weekend. Alan

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWell guys I have gotten back to the volunteer state and I am so happy to be back in my bed. Florida was fun...did not play the best when I first got there but finished off the trip with a 77. Used my Cobras down there since I was hitting them so good. Got back home yesterday and switched out the cobras with the Mizunos and used them today on my normal course. We played from the whites since I have a two day tournament this weekend and shot a 74...but this course is much easier from the whites...about 4 shots easier. Hit the mizunos good and they are fighting hard with the cobras for the spot in the bag. Andy did great work on these...everything was spot on with the clubs. I am keeping the cobra 2 iron in the bag. It is not and I repeat not going anywhere. That's all for now. Mike I am glad you do not need the gall bladder removed. Lance your a ho...getting worse than our leader Andrew but not quite that bad yet. Guys have a good hump day.

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWell guys I got back into East TN tongiht about 11:30 and will get about a 14 hour turn around time before I leave for Florida. When I get to Kansas City on Wednesday the bad weather was 30 minutes away and just got out of the airport and to the hotel before the Tornado sirens went off and had to go to the basement. Sunday got in a round in Kansas City at Tiffany Greens and it was pretty good then off to Manhattan. 3 rounds at Colbert Hills...from the tips the course is rated 77.5 with a slope of 152...we played the middle tees which was 6503 yaqrds rating 73.0, 132 slope. On tuesday I had a nice stretch on three par fours...birdie...hole out from 100 yards for eagle...followed by driving the green on 316 yard hole and two putted for birdie. The golf was great and theat course is hard. Built up on some hills and you do not escape the wind. I love it. Andy did a fantastic job on the mp32 but I am still deciding on if they are staying over the Cobras...will know when I get in from Florida. Sorry if I got the Andy disease tonight...having a bookers and coke to wind down and the typing may be a little off. Have a great day guys. Alan

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearTo the members of the gang of gutter: I apologize for my negligence these past few weeks. I have not been holding up my end of the posting so I will try to get better in the next week before I go on some trips. I will be heading out next Sat to Kansas to see a college buddy then back here on the following wednesday and then a day or two rest then off to Florida for 10-14 days. We haven't made our mind up on how long yet. The game is still pretty good albeit one bad round last Sunday. Kiypl: who was the guy you got your cell phone from...was it dakota something? Mine is acting up pretty bad and I will more than likely be needing a new one. How is the Razr treating you? That's all for now but next week I will have a review to post  :mizuno: after Andrew gets to give the a test run. Has anybody heard from Pete?

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI can say the driver has been a very stoic figure in my bag. I used a biggest big bertha for 4-5 years then got the TM mentioned bleow and have been using it every since. I got it after being on this board for about a week. Now I have experimented with some putters: 1) Gauge Design Eld**k 2) TM Monza 3) Betti Baby Bee 4) Scotty SS Newport 2.5 (had this one when I joined) and now I am back to the putter I was using in 1998 a scotty pro platinum Laguna 2. I am looking for one to refinish but I am in no hurry. Putters used to be my downfall but the Laguna 2 is making a bunch of putts and it works with my stroke. I wish I would have never benched it but I am glad I never sold it.

In 5-6 years I have only had three sets... and how many shafts have you gone through this month.

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearGuys thanks for the well wishes. I went back over the round and I realized I had two pars on the front with three birdies and four bogeys for the 37. The back was pretty similar with 2 birdies and three pars and 4 bogeys. I honestly could have shot 70-72 if I had made some putts...I had four lip outs that really got to me. On 16 one of my buddies left it short twice and one of the other guys asked how does it feel when you are having sex and your wifes balls smack off your ass. I was laughing so hard I could not help but miss my 4 foot par putt. The greens were slow but I am not going to complain with 75. I won't be a C man next week. I'll be a B man. Last two rounds have been 75 from the whites and 78 from the blues...from the whites it is 6050 yards and the blues 6790. Oh well I guess we will see what next week brings...no golf tomorrow.

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWell guys shot 75 today with 4 putts lipping out. It was a weird round...had one par of the fron and shot 37....5 birdies for the day and shot 75. I am happy about the round but a touch disappointed. I should have shot even to 1 under. I almost got my third hole in one today. It hit of the pin and lipped out and had a two inch birdie putt. The group on the hole beside us said it went in and out. Oh wellfeeling good about the swing. Then went to a party afterwards for one of the guys that had gotten a hole in one back in the winter. Hope everyone else had a great day today and has a fantastic weekend.

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWell guys after fighting some kind of funk...(I think from playing in a two day tourny last weekend in high 40 degree temps with rain and strong wind) for the last few days I got to feeling better and played today. I still felt a little puny but I ended up shooting a 78 on a very wet course. Did not use the MP32...I hate Rifle shafts. Warmed up with them and put them back in the trunk and got the cobras out. I was not hitting the driver on the screws but was hitting it okay. Felt I did not have the strength to finish the swing. I tell you what I was quite congested friday...in the chest and head...coughing up some ugly stuff with a very painful cough. One of the ladies I work with told me to go home and make a hot toddy. I did and went to bed and sweat it out. It worked great. Anyway back to golf...I was a C man in our sunday group and the b man shot 70 and our A man shot 84. Great pairing huh. Oh well did not win any money but was pretty happy with my round considering I just felt tired the whole round. ALan

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearKipyl that sounds like a nice pick up. You will have to let us know how it is when you get it. Mike I think it is sufficent to say that we are all praying for you to get better. I hope that when you do go under the knife it is 100% successful and that you have one of the most rapid recoveries known to man. Got the MP32 a couple of days ago and am going to use them this weekend and then will more than likely get them reshafted to something more familiar. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Alcap26 replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearMike, Had a two day two man tournament this weekend. We did not play that great but finished third in the 2nd flight out of 6 flights. We had the worst weather yesterday felt like squall lines coming through with wind gusting to 35-40mph and rain coming in sideways and the high maybe 50. Today constant 20-30mph winds with the temp starting in the low 40 and 50 when we finished. Cold day but thank god the guy I played with is a member and has a covered cart and cart heater. I t was cold. My partner is usually very steady with the irons and a good putter but the last two days he was decel into the ball and his irons not that good and his putting was lousy...these were his words as I would not dog a partner like that. I was hitting the irons great and maybe missed 5 fiarways the whole time. I made all the birdie putts the first day and all on the front nine today. The course double cut the greens Sat morning and the cut the once again today so they were playing really quick. Not easy golf at all. We shot 69-68 but should have been 67-65 because we could not get the putters hot. My short game was fantastic and has inspired lots of confidence since you guys know what I have been going through the last two years. Looking forward to the season...although I wonder if I can really say that since I have posted 18 scores since December of 2004. Damn I am getting long winded. Alan
