  1. Chris, the Mizuno T-Wedges are better than the TS X-Wedges??? That would be hard to believe seeing that my X-Wedges are so damn good and so damn game improving, it's dropping digits off my handicap faster than rain falling from the sky...haha! But if true, they must be simply AWESOME! :mizuno: :bridgestone:

For Extra Stiff = DG X-100 For Stiff = Rifle FCM 6.0 I've used both with great success but only with a Titleist 983K 8.5* & 9.5* heads, both @ 43.5". I have never used steel with TM driver, so I'm not sure what kind of ball flight, distance, and consistency you will experience with a TM 510 head. I've used DG S-300 with my V-Steel FWs and absolutely love the feel, ball flight, and distance. Good luck!
  3. WOW! A very insightful and detailed review! Spray painting your irons, now that's a new way to maintain the appearance of your irons. Definitely leave the original paintfill and just keep those soles nice and black with your paint! Thanks HJ!
  4. Another beautiful set of irons from Japan! I love the black teflon finish for sure. Thanks for the pics Juan! I agree with you that the size of the head is definitely compact and closer to the size of the TS MR23s. What kind of trajectory are you getting with the PX 6.0, and are you able to work the ball in both directions with different ball flights? Look forward to your review. :gauge:

MIZUNO RULE! And that's the bottom line...haha! They are the finest irons in the world. I have the Tourstage MR23s CB (which are very soft) and my buddy's MP37s are softer than my MR23s and his are the US version - NOT the Japanese version. Easiest blade I've EVER hit in my life. Even the 3 iron is as easy to hit as my MR23 and I can put a draw on the MP37 much easier than the MR23 CB. That's why I had Chris special order me a set of MP37s M-Stamped in Satin finish straight from Mizuno Japan  Should be here within 2-3 more weeks! James, you can do no wrong with either the MP33 or MP37, but my choice is the MP37!!! :smile2:
  6. I love the way TS created those "feel pockets" for their new X-Wedge. Those remind me of the TM RAC design. And 99.9% Fe content....must be the softest feeling wedge EVER. And that glossy black color is to die for! Looking forward to getting my set this week! :tourstage:
  7. WOW! Either this guy knows a TON of TM players/caddies, has raided the TM Tour Van when nobody was looking, or has posted his TM wish list he gave to his mommy for Christmas 2004! :-)

    PM Sent! :tm:
  9. "HOvana" right Tai...haha? Seriously, a perfect example of what everybody is saying is this: Nike forge Tiger's irons in Japan by Mizuno - not China, USA, Bangladesh, etc. but Japan. Why? Re-read the posts above. I hope that helps! :smile1:

Yes, what shaft came with your 300 Tour Ti? I have played the YS-6 s-flex in both a driver and fw wood as well as the 757 x-flex in a driver. Never did play the Mitsubishi shaft however, so can't comment on that one.

And the word is, 9.5* is the rarest of lofts in this is non-conforming TM Driver. What shaft does it have in it, or is it just the head? Thanks!
  12. Breal, are you still satisfied with the chrome finish over the satin finish?
  13. Absolutely GORGEOUS irons, Tai! Look forward to your always informative and entertaining review. Could nirvana be close behind...haha? Thanks!
  14. Absolutely SPECTACULAR set of Mizunos! I love the grind on BOTH sides of the soles on those irons. Was that a special request on your part? And what shafts are you currently using in those irons? Thanks Chris!

GREAT Pics! AWESOME Bag! Thanks! Quick question: What shaft are you playing in your Nakashima 3 wood?
  16. EXACTLY, and *presto* you have TM creating the TP line of equipment in which this particular OEM in question CLAIMS that these TP models are the same clubs used by their tour players. I was talking to Bill Glasson today after his first round at the B.C. Open (in which he shot +2). He was telling me that he switched from his Ping wedges to a brand new set of TM rac wedges for this weeks tournament. The TM trailer built them on Wednesday, and guess what was stamped on the back of each wedge: "Prototype" And these were not the chrome, black, or even FE heads, but a satin finish with custom grinds to his specs. I asked if these were specially forged, and he had no idea, only that he believed they were forged. His RAC MB 2-9 irons were also the same satin finish, with custom grinds, and I asked of these were forged in Japan, and again, he told me he had no idea, only that he knew they were forged. But these did not have "Prototype" stamped on the back of each iron. The Points to this story: 1.) TM continues to stamp "Prototype" on clubs coming from the tour van. 2.) Some players, like Glasson, could care less if a club is forged in Japan or not. They only care if it works on the course where they make a living.
  17. The name Tourstage speaks Quality!
  18. AWESOME Pics! Those GD Irons look like they have a thicker sole for such a small head. Might be the angle. Thanks!
  19. The M3 Black Teflon with the Double Ignots looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Is that particular model going to be available this Wednesday? Thanks Chris!
  20. I got in on those LE TS Black X-Wedges from Chris. I have the 01 model in 56* w/ 6* Bounce & a NS Pro 950 Stiff shaft. Double baked black - I can't wait!!!
  21. NOBODY, including my brother, could beg my MR23s away from me...haha! The combo strategy throughout a set of irons sounds more appealing with each review I read, but I'm just so satisfied right now with the ball flights off of the MR23s. And yes, the MR23s do ding much easier than the chrome TM 300 Tour that I used before. In fact, the driving range I practice at uses sand to repair the entire sections, so I still practice with the TM 300s at the range. Otherwise, the faces on the MR23s would be 'destroyed' in a matter of one summer. The faces are soooo soft ;) So I'm still getting to know my 23s better with each round. I'm looking to purchase a practice/back-up set but seem to spend my money else where right now. It figures that QC for Mizuno US would suffer even though they supposedly use the same Grain-Flow forging process whether it's in Japan or Bangladesh.
  22. Breal, Congrats on a BEAUTIFUL set of irons! Can you be more specific on comparing these M Stamped to a set of MR23 CB - if you have played those TS irons before - not sure. I have played the MR23 irons now for almost a year now and nothing compares to the consistency and feel of these incredible irons. The last set I played were the TM 300 Tour and the MR23s simply blow them away. The mis-hits on the TM 300 was disastrous both in feel and distance, but with the MR23s, I experience almost no sacrifice in distance and the feel is still incredible - I know EXACTLY where the ball made contact with the iron. And working the ball in both directions is not a problem with these the MR23s.

That's right! My brother still uses his Top Flight model (can't remember the exact model but I'll find out when I play with him this Friday) that he purchased over 5 years ago. I wouldn't call them micro grooves though as it has very thick, protruding grooves with easily over 1/8" separation, and the finish on it has become like a rusted bronze over time which is strange, but I imagine that rusty finish gives him better contact on his roll. He swears by it and can make some clutch strokes when he needs to with his Top Flight. I wasn't saying they were micro-grooves, the model name for that line of putters was the MicroGroove line. Haha! Yes, I understand it wasn't you calling them micro grooves. I was questioning why Spaulding would call them micro grooves. Of course, hindsight is 20-20 and after all the milled faced putters of today, with true micro grooves, looking back at those models, it just doesn't make sense why they would call them micro grooves. Sorry to cause any confusion.

  25. Agreed! The Rifle was simply too stiff for my swing, so I replaced it with a DG S300 before the weekend, and absolutely KILLED it off the deck! Played the Links @ Hiawatha where they'll play the Monday qualifier for the B.C. Open in July, and not only smoked it straight and long off the fw, but drove it great off the tee all day long. Only pulled the driver out of the bag for the par 5s! Oh, and the best news was I finally trounced my sister's boyfriend for the first time in a long time...haha! Thanks Breal! And btw, Maru thinks the V-Steel is the best 3 wood for a USGA set-up, since that was in his bag @ Shinnecock Hills - not a TS!!! ___________________________________________ Titleist 983K 8.5* w/ DG X-100 @ 43.5" TM V-Steel TS 13* w/ DG S-300 @ 43" TS MR-23 U.S. Spec CB 3-PW w/ DG X-200 Titleist Vokey LW 60* w/ Special Grind (Japanese Forged) TM Tour Performance SW 56* TM RAC Black GW 52* TM Rossa TP Modena 4-02 34" Titleist Pro V-1X
