  1. Yep, that's my babies. By the way, thanks for the excellent pictures of the clubs--now I won't have to take any before I sell them! LOL They are incredible looking and so far the love affair is still going strong.
  2. I sense the TSG wedge with some really excellent grinding. Played with the wedges today and OMG, great feel on every kind of shot imaginable. Thanks to the grinding, the 58 was money out of some wet fairways, and the 52 really great for greenside chips. And, about 30 guys walked up to the bag to see what these great looking copper things are. Will give a more detailed review in a couple of days. I'm a fan!
  3. Back already, too cold and wet to play but a few holes! Hit the 58* once (range was closed), and had a good result. Strange, the heads seem a little closed at address and felt like I needed to manipulate it open. We'll see as I get a little more time with them. Yah, Duke, surgery on the 30th, and with two fake hips watch out. I'll be whipping through the ball as fast as Tiger. And yes, sooner or later you'll get a shot at these wedges--you know you will, and sadly it doesn't matter how well they perform. After all, there could be something better out there that I've never played!!
  4. So I buy a set of 52* and 58* copper Epons from 808hack on B/S/T. I've already got the J's, think they may be about the best I've ever had, so I'm excited to try the wedges. Box comes, and what a surprise!!! First of all, pictures don't describe how good looking these wedges are. The color and the shape are like miniature works of art. Fit and finish, even down to the copper color of the Epon proprietary ferrule, are first class and unlike I've seen on even the finest clubs. But now the surprise! The 52* has a heel/trailing edge grind and the 58* has an "M" grind that are perfectly ground and look like someone spent hours and a lot of money to accomplish. When I mentioned to 808 that he hadn't told me about the grinding, he says "Oh, yeah, guy named Calvin Matsui here in Hawaii ground those--he's done a little work for Gauge Design". Well, the grinds are done as well as any I've seen and what a great surprise. Two incredible wedges with fantastic grinds. Now, having said all that, going to play with them for the first time in about an hour. If there as good as I think they'll be, there in the bag for quite a while. If not, tune into BST for your chance to own two great looking wedges ground by a master!!!!!
  5. Have I mentioned that I'm now hitting Epon Type J's? That should make the value of those come down so far I could afford a back up set!!
  6. Haven't had my Epons (Type J) for very long, but you've come across a great phase to describe them--unique, solid feel. I haven't hit anything quite like it, and I think it may be my favorite yet. I've hit most everything there's to hit, and these are most like a sledgehammer hitting a golf ball. Mine are shafted with NS 1150's, and the combo offers a very "heavy" feel which translates to a totally solid hit but a soft hit--nothing clicky to it. You've almost got to try it yourself to understand it.
  7. You guys are killing me. Sold of set of the milled MB's last month for only $400 and darn near had to beg the fellow to do the deal. Everybody always wants what I have to sell after I've given it away!! Woe is me.
  8. No, Robbie was going to take them and then tore his ACL on a skiing trip so we cancelled.
  9. :tsg_smilie_rolleyes: We should get together some time and play "Show Me the Money" to determine academic superiority! Or Jeopardy, or something meaningful as no doubt you have many more diplomas than I from much finer institutions. As to the golf, it's the forging quality (they are made by the hands of --- after all), but the shape of the head, the way the ball is framed, and the grind that I find to be so successful in almost any kind of turf (dry or wet), grass (bermuda, bent, rye, etc.), and length of grass (fairway/rough). Hell, truth be told, very few tour players use any of the clubs we're talking about so maybe none of them's the "best". I think I was more unenthusiastic about being referred to as a "lemming" than I was enthusiastic about having to defend a great set of irons (which I sold on WRX and not on BSG anyway). I guess if you buy them on WRX, you're a "pigeon" rather than a mere "lemming". :tsg_smilie_rolleyes:
  10. One of the most over-rated sets thanks to the lemmings at BombSquad. Check into Scratch Tour blades or Miura Tournaments... I never thought of myself as a lemming--but I suppose I've been called worse. I will say that there at least two of us on BSG that have brains that function independently. :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: I have played every quality iron made in the last 20 years or so I think (though I've missed the Moz). I can, will and do state without equivocation that to compare the Scratch Tour Blades (no offense, Ari) or the Miura Tournaments (No offense to the hands of ...) to any of the sets of Lehmans I've had and played is to compare Cadillacs to a Porsche, both fine, expensive cars, but suited to a different buyer. The Cadillac is for comfort the Porsche for performance in the hands of an enthusiast. That's the Lehman grind--and if you haven't played it, you can't make the comparison you have. I don't know your handicap or your abilities so maybe you've tried the Lehamans and couldn't appreciate them. But no need to insult a group of people because you're predisposed to believe yourself superior in some way.
  11. Oops, mine are sold now, sorry.
  12. PM sent with pictures of a set of Lehmans with Tour Concept Shafts--chrome, with a great price because you've waited for so long.
  13. I know these clubs well. The 1150's are ideally suited to these heads as they are slightly heavier than most (very tour oriented are these), and the slightly lighter weight of the shafts and the mid flex point give these a very powerful feel. They will definitely feel more flexible than the normal S300 configuration because of this. This is a very good buy on these--well worth the price asked for those of you who make no equipment purchasing decisions without either my opinion or blessing :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:
  14. Well, Josh, at least it doesn't take you long to make up your mind!! PM me. G
  15. 202's in bag. Easier to hit but have all the workability of the smaller head/shallower cavity. Easy choice.

The only reason I ever buy any of these is so that I can sell them to you when you're ready! :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: I really couldn't believe the price if they're in the condition he represents. We'll see.

A set of these in really good condition jumped up on Ebay and I bought them. I've really enjoyed the I404's and the 506's that I have and took the plunge. I know absolutely nothing about these and don't recall seeing anything on them here or elsewhere. Any users or anyone knowledgeable about them here? I'd appreciate enything you can tell me about them.

I've got a great set of 202's, really clean and unmarked, 3-pw with MCC 30+ stiff graphite at 38 1/4" 5 iron. Not really interested in trades, though. Let me know if interested in a price or pm me. I'd be pretty darn reasonable with these.
  19. Ari, I've got one marked "prototype" on the sole with no indication of loft (measure it to be 9*). Square to maybe just a tad open. Really perfect condition. Let me know if interested as I can't even remember the shaft that's in it. I hated to part with it cuz it's so good looking, but if someone was actually going to use it, then....Best, G
  20. If price includes shipping and paypal, I'll take it. Let me know. Thanks, G
  21. I have an 8* 300 head in very good condition. $175. Let me know.
  22. Borrowed a friend's, made a 10 foot putt, has to be the best putter ever so I need one. What you got? In the perfect world, 33.5". But, alas, the world isn't perfect--I'll look at any length. Thanks.
  23. Suppose I get 'em and love 'em. How would I get more in the future? Will you have a continuous supply?
  24. PM Sent with Pics.
