PIGPEN..........The tipsize on the F/UT U3 that I have is 355 taper. I installed a Fujikura 904HB X in it and it worked excellently. Although the 904HB is a 370 tip, a good clubfitter can sand it down to fit the 355 with no problems....this is PER Fujikura.
  2. I was thinking on the same lines as you. Since I am in Hawaii, I was thinking about using the same stuff to take "dings" out of surfboards. A little resin and fiberglass cloth. Now all I need is some spare time to do it!
  3. :smile2: Hey Duke....the V Steel is still in the bag. The ONLY club that's stayed in that bag for almost a year now. It's had it's moments, but it's place is still pretty safe.
  4. My father called me up the other day to play some golf. When I went to pick him up, he said he would drive. I was all for it since gas prices are a beatch and my Sequoia drinks it up like water. He already had his bag in the trunk so I squished my bag behind his to the rear of the trunk. We had a nice round of golf and returned to his car. When I placed my bag in his trunk I noticed a big crack in the bottom of my bag. Apparently when I squished my bag in his trunk when it closed the hinge of the trunk cracked the bottom of my bag. :wah: If my dad hadn't been there I think I would have let out the BIGGEST F**K! :wah: Guy's.....what can I say...be careful when putting your bags in trunks. I guess I should be happy it didn't cave in the head of one of my clubs, but damn...I think the CBS41 is harder to replace! "bagless" Pitbull808
  5. Just go to Cameron's website, click on putter/services/authentication and you can start from A000001 and make your way up the numbers and see all the authenticated Camerons. That ought to keep you busy for a few days! :smile2: http://www.scottycameron.com/authenticatio...on/registry.asp
  6. Don't feel bad. Until three weeks ago I had only saw the original Star Wars aka Episode IV New Hope when it first came out in theaters in the 70's. I happened to be at Costco and saw the box set of IV/V/VI and purchased it thinking I'd catch up before the new movie came out. After I got it, I was telling my friend about it and then was told that there were two other DVD's I'd have to get to "catch up". So last week I went back to Costco and picked up The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. I'm totally waiting for the movie now. The preview looks like it's going to be the best of the series. :smile2:
  7. Sorry bud, it's not mine. Just a photo of a refinished one that I had. There are several airbrushing companies who will do work like this. I think it's a little too "busy" for me though. I'd have a hard time concentrating on the ball. :smile2:
  8. U :finger: er!! Don't be a dumb :poop: and even think about spending more :money: . You're hitting your drives as good as I've seen in 3 1/2 years with the X-Drive 405. Although, no offense Chris.....sweet looking Mizuno driver. Just helping a buddy avoiding being stupid at the moment. Otherwise, I gotta give him a :blackeye: Wow... :finger: u too! :smile2: Okay that's enough emoticons for me. I was just looking ...it doesn't hurt to look. Definitely very nice looking though. I love the chrome accents. It appears that the 405 is more square with less bulge too.
  9. The Diamana Stinger has a special Material inside of it that allows maximum kick while still maintaing a tight pattern. Only 1000 stinger shafts were made they came with a hat and towel @ 500.00 each. The Only shaft that is the same and available to us now is the Tourstage stock TXD-70 shaft just released this year. Chris, Comis Airbrush?? I know they do excellent work on motorcycles and automobiles. The owner Dennis Mathewson is world reknown for his talent. How bout something like this? :smile2:
  10. OH geesh Chris....I'm loving my 405 and you have to post this! :smile2: That is very nice and a great improvement over the MP001's look. Got any info on what "tech" they've inputed in the driver?

That RC is very sweet looking. I've been looking at the new Sonartec out, but that RC is much cleaner looking.
  12. Got to agree about the headcover. It's pretty ugly and hardly serves as anyprotection. The stretchy nylon on the underside hardly protects the clubs crown. I wish they had a cover like the magnetic R7 cover.....that way I wouldn't have to use my R7 cover on it. :smile2: It's almost blasphemy!
  13. Chris, what's the CC's on that driver? That face looks deep enough to hit two balls at once. :smile2:
  14. No problem guys. I have to say though when I got the 405, I had been completely happy and satisfied with my R7. My R7 had already won over match ups with Ping G2's, Cobra Comp 460, 905's, Ignite 410/460, and a Cleveland Comp. I didn't think it would have been so easy to knock the R7 out of the bag. One round on my usual course had me noticing the yardage differences and the superior hit and feel. It was really amazing and a testament to the superior performance of the Tourstage product.
  15. I've got the stock GD Tour AD M-65 X Stiff. I've pretty much used Fuji 757 Tour Specs in all my last drivers. So the GD was definitely an "experiment" for me. It feel softer then my 757 but not too soft where I can feel it bending and torqueing out. Definitely a shaft that I can either go after the ball, or take a nice smooth cut with it. Unlike my 757 where I felt I needed to give a little more oomph in to it all the time.
  16. I absolutely love my 405. The impact is very sweet. No "tingy" sound, just a nice knock sort of similar to a Titleist. The rubber technology definitely changes the feel of the hit. Vibration is dampened and shots just feel very pure with the 405. Distance has been really great. I've been experiencing a really nice trajectory, mid to high with a nice peak and upon landing a nice kick and roll. Surprisingly easily longer then my old Tour R7. The 405 kicked my Tour R7 out of the bag after one round. The yardage gains were great. The trajectory was exactly what I was looking for while I was fiddleing around with my R7 weight kit. The stock X Stiff shaft works really well. I was really impressed with it and also thankful that I didn't have to spend my usual $$$'s playing with shafts. Really a great club and I'd highly recommend it. For those who don't know....here's some pics of my 405 and also comparison photo's with my R7.
  17. I've said it before.....I was waiting to see the putter you were having made up for yourself. Beautiful! I may not be playing a Scotty right now, but IMHO Scotty makes the best looking putters out there. Thanks for sharing this one Buff....good luck with it.

Damn.....looks like I'm going to have to spend more money again. I want a pink one on my putter! :smile2: What do you think Chris....that ought to have everyone looking at me funny! And I think I'm just the right size to pull it off!:smile2:

As the owner/user of a CBS41.....I just love it.

I would say oil it once every month or so. Also do not let Green fertilizer dry on any shinny/chrome finish, you will see a chemical reaction. What type of oil would one use? You could probably treat it like Scotty Cameron recommends and rub some baby oil on it. I spray all my putters down with some silicone spray and wipe them off. It helps to keep the fertilizer staining to a minimum.
