  1. I showed up with my Titleist Japan Tour bag at a private club in the Hamptons and the guy who's hosting me is like "you've gotta freakin be kidding me...is that the bag from Caddy Shack!" Walking only club and I felt a bit dopey when my caddy picked up the bag and simply gave a face and the same "you've gotta be freakin kidding me!!" Gave him enough of a tip at end of day but also vowed that as cool as that thing was, I was next going as light as possible. Here's kinda what my bag looked like: https://www.google.com/search?q=caddyshack+golf+bag&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari#biv=i|2;d|_8mI8jwokuDY8M:
  2. That driver looks like its all business...I like it. On a separate note, why would a driver that's had quality issues in the past be higher priced than Crazy or other high end brands?
  3. I've had a white Japanese made Titleist bag and was surprised it stayed so clean. That being said, the blue here is a very nice cool blue. I also was never a fan of the Budweiser dog. I just wish they would come out with a stand bag. Most guys in the US are going smaller not bigger.
  4. A bit busy on the back of the wedge for my taste but very cool looking. Hopefully they will play as pretty as they look
  5. Yup...one of the major reasons I love TSG is the care most people put into their gear. Most of the used equipment I buy here looks new. Only had one case where a putter was not as advertised.
  6. One word: Aerotechs!!
  7. Same swing speed as Tiger but 30 handicap?? I say make sure the guy gets his swing speed checked before he spends some cashola. Anytime a buddy says they hit it 300+ or they swing 125 we head to the Trakman and reality sets in very quickly...in ALL cases, the guy who says he hits it 300 is more like 260 and the guy who says 125 is more like 105-110. Not saying your guy hits it 300, but willing to bet he's not at 125MPH and iron numbers confirm that as well.
  8. I am willing to buy the fake for $500 just to take it off the market:)
  9. swisstrader replied to Spoon's post in a topic in USDM BST
too cheap! these should last about another 20 mins
  10. I saw that as well...thought my mind was slipping when I saw the change. I believe he's a member here as well, but could be mistaken. I've also had the experience of ppl backing out of bids...it's painful
  11. Gets my vote for most creative pictures EVER in BST! Kinda like just a bunch of random shots from someone's iPhone camera roll. I will take the roller coaster ride for $5 and still looking for the naked lady tees.
  12. Here: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=4472
  13. Best putter I've ever owned was my little Miura KM 350. Tiny head scared the heck out of me at first, but so well balanced and so soft and pure. I also like how much I learned from my Edel putter fitting and that putter probably fits me best, but not as pretty as the 350. Also just bought a betti, but weather sucks too much to test out.
  14. 22 putts per round?? I had no idea Ben Crenshaw was posting on TSG!
  15. Thanks...looking for an extra 20+ yards as advertised :)
  16. I will take it...sending PM
  17. I own a set compliments of Stew...only got to hit them on the range due to lovely NY winters, but the most solid wedges in terms of feel I've ever felt. Chipping is my nemesis, but just about any swing I put on these wedges felt rock solid.
  18. Yes, but what the heck is that avatar about??
  19. Zen now available on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Only-300-made-Epon-Zen-Limited-Forged-Putter-Mint-Condition-/261152137317?pt=Golf_Clubs&hash=item3ccde16065
  20. I went non-JDM (blasphemous I know!) for my 3 wood. Got a TM R11 and it works like a dream. I've tried just about everything including Epons, Egg, etc and the TM was just so much more forgiving than anything else. Now also have the matching 5 wood...both are AUTOMATIC! They also longer or just as long as anything out there.
  21. Same thing for me...I'm an aerotech fanboy. Have had them in everything I play EXCEPT my Personals. Only reason is they came with the Monacos so I figured I would give them a shot. Will have to wait a couple months for the winter thaw to test.
  22. Dale had set no 501;)
  23. Great looking simple putter. I would wait on milling until you've gamed it for a while. Once you go milled, can't go back.
  24. As I've said before, it is EXTREMELY rare for golf gear to go up in value. Yes, for Scottie's, but they are a special breed and due to all the hype, the skies the limit with some of the small run or 1 of X putters. Not true with just about any other manufacturer and that's for putters, irons, and drivers. Would I like to think that my now out of stock and never to be made again Personals will double or triple in value 2 years from now...sure. Do I think that will ever happen?...nope! If you're looking for an investment, go find a 1957 Mercedes Gullwing:)
