Went a different direction - Thinking of getting a combo set of Miura Giken 5005 & 5003
I like the idea, interesting combo. With the custom options available, are these going to still be as soft to play as my SB1?

Fujikura MCI
Thanks for the info. These have peaked my interest. I would be interested to see how they play against the Aerotech and UST Mamiya recoil. Anyone playing the recoil yet? Thanks. F

Thanks guys for the responses. The boys are 7 and 5. The eldest has been playing for 2 years and the youngest for over a year. They are both hooked! I did look on tourspecgolf after posting and did find some cool sets. You are right Chris the Tourstage look good. So do the PRGR, Mizuno, and Honma. Riduffer, thanks for the uskids info. The boys are already playing us kids clubs, so do all his friends! Wanted to bring the boys to the dark side of JDM :-). Got to give them the edge! Tario will pm you shortly. The first birthday is end of October is it too late to order? Thanks, F

JDM Junior Clubs
Hi All, I am in the market for some new clubs for my boys. As a JDM blade fanatic I was curious to know what do japanese or asian golfers buy their children? Which JDM makes junior clubs? Thanks, F

new Epon irons.... RF-551
Now this brings back good memories and tears (of pain)! My father has always been a Mac Gregor and Hogan blade Man. And I learned with his Hogan Directors then got hooked and felt compelled to get a set of Apex which I still have to this day. (to my wife's despair). I agree with Stew and Ant. The Apex were firm, hard, unforgiving and crisp. Not everyone's cup of tea but that's what I liked at that time. Then discovered Miura and Kyoei relagating the apex to collect dust but that's another story!...

Geotech RF700 Proto Iron
Chris, Did you finally make the jump and tried these irons in the end? Or anybody else? The neo blade concept is growing on me. Geotech RF700 and the Romaro Ray H have got my attention thus far. Thanks, F

Geotech RF700 Proto Iron
Interesting concept. I agree with Chris, I kind like it, perhaps worth experimenting. I must admit it is growing on me . Anyone has experience with geotech irons how do they feel let's say my bench miura and kyoei blades?

Epon af-701/2 or ONOFF Labo Spec
I am a Miura fan at heart having owned their CB and blades but still a blade man. It do notice that Miura is going down the road of bigger size CB, but this has not always been the case. This most certainly to appeal to a wider audience. I still have the CB-1005 in a combo set with the MB-5001 blades and the CB-1006. The CB-1005 was the smallest of the two. The forging quality is there you are splitting hair to determine which feels better or is more forgiving. As feel and forgiveness are subjective depending on your swing. You will be satisfied with any. I would agree with Spoon select an iron that pleases your eye. It will give you confidence and pleasure. Good luck keep us posted.

Irons Design with weight
I did a little digging and have found the following JDM making adjustable bounce on Wedges! Yes adjustable bounce. An interesteing idea but how practical on the golf course! http://www.plazagolf.net/viper_wedge/index.html F

Irons Design with weight
I am surprise no JDM has developed similar concept yet or even improved on it. They are normally always at the forefront of technology innovations.

Royal collection D/S 11.5* + 13* arrived...........,
Thanks Stew, Very promising results. I think I will be leaning towards the 11* + FE proto. How do you think the combo should perform? F

Royal collection D/S 11.5* + 13* arrived...........,
Stew, This driving spoon/Strong 3wood replacement concept is really growing on me. What are your initial thought as to the better option 11* or 13*? Thanks F

Nippon Modus-anyone using or tried?
Eca, Yes the proto are the first version of the C-Taper. I have found the C-Taper to produce a lower ball flight. Out of the two the protos suited me better. Both brilliant shaft and you do gain in length. F

Nippon Modus-anyone using or tried?
Eca, Although I have not played the modus, I have gamed other nippons and liked their responsiveness and the smoothness . I am currently gaming the KBS Proto. For me and my swing at this point they represent the best risk reward ratio I can find until I find something better! They are super tight, smooth, provide a late kick and a soft landing which I like. Big improvement on the PX satin which was my favorite. Certainly a shaft to consider. F
