Hi T, Have you got any updates on this new puppy? My driver quest narrowed it down to the Crazy and Ryoma. Thanks for the info. F
  2. All, Interested to buy a set new or used set of Pro Preference Model irons. The PPM Blades. Thanks, F
  3. B, Thanks for sharing your new toys! I, like you, still have my old trusted 2002 Super CV TRC in 13* and 16*with DG X100 which I sometimes bring out of the closet. And I have to agree that I am always feeling and saying to myself why did I put these performers in the closet. The feel is really that good. I think I may be tempted to upgrade the shaft and have a play around or may be buy the new one. Look forward to reading your review. F
  4. Very clean look indeed. Any chance of "raw" blade or even a combo set? F
  5. Bogeydog, Thanks for sharing. It is interesting to see the Crazy TJ46 did not work that well for you. The Kamui with TJ46 you sold me is working great, I am also debating a Ryoma but do not know which shaft to go for. Do you feel the new CB46 is a big improvement on the TJ46 in gaining in "smoothness". For me, the TJ46 did feel quite smooth already. Smooth shaft work well for me, so this shaft may be an option. I am also considering the FE Proto. Decisions, decisions.. Thanks F
  6. Bogeydog, Thanks for sharing. I am Still enjoying the Kamui/ TJ46 you sold to me, but was wondering how the ryoma compared to it if you remember. The new CB46 sounds very promising. I am pondering whether to go with CB46 or Quadra proto. Any thoughts guys? Thanks, F
  7. Thanks Guys for your comments. PRGR was one of the brands I was thinking along with Kasco. Any one tried Kasco recently. Chris, Got to thank you, I must admit your lady's bag is a perfect plan. Here it goes. "Darling look what I bought you a new Ryoma driver." "Darling you are hitting the driver really well better than my Kamui. "Perhaps I ought to try this baby! ;-)" Bingo done, Ryoma in the bag. Funny one, this morning she asked, "do I get to go on a lauch monitor to get fitted" You are on darling.... Got to love game, full of surprises! T & C, I will be in touch shortly for some new toys. F
  8. Hi Gocchin and all, I could not resist to share some fantastic news chaps, finally my wife has decided to take up golf again! Huray! After 3 children and the last one a girl only a month old and lady friends hitting the range with their children made her realised that she did have a decent swing a few years back. So my question is what ladies would you recommend looking into? Thanks, F
  9. Chris, Gocchin, Always interested in new blades especially kyoei and small houses. I recently read Miura bringing a new blade in black finish. I suspect it is ex Japan Miura but worth checking as it would be a nice match to their new hybrid. You know the one you need to shaft for a review. ;-). As a tech fanatic I would like to know what is the latest craze technology wise on the other side of the planet: launch monitor, golf gps, golf apps, and golf training aids. Thanks for doing the leg work for us we appreciate it. F

Thanks Randy, How does the mamiya shaft play? is it a good combo? Do you think the playability/foregivness of the club could be improved with a different shaft? (crazy, quadra, ozik?) Thanks, F

I would second the TRC. Still have my Super CV TRC in 14* and 16*. Great feeling, long and forgiving club. F

I would actually be tempted to try the 15* to have a fair battle with the spoon. Then try the 11*. It should be an interesting test. Even Roger Federe supremacy came to a premature end at Roland Garros. As he said, it had to end one day! So, are the Egg spoon days numbered? Do let us know! F

  24. Idrive, How is the honeymoon with your 3w? Are you enjoying the shaft combo? Thanks F
