Other than the lack of the right click at impact how did the URX fair otherwise. Distance with driver and irons, trajectory and that kinda stuff.

Guess, you mean the AD333. That's a 2 piece ball. The prototype ball the Pro's are using, Davies, Jiminez &Co., is not been released yet. Believing the Srixon website it will be released in April. Too bad the UR-X didn't make a good first impression. Hope you got more luck with it in Vegas. haribo
  3. Don't know if it's Tour but it's clearly an older wedge. It shows the old TM logo they retired about 3 years ago. haribo

Just went to the Srixon website and there's a lot of talk about a new prototype ball the Pro's are using and winning with. It's supposed to be released in April. Any words on this one???? haribo

haribo, Today, my golf shop gave me a couple of sleeves of Hx Tours to try...afterI purchased a new Callaway ERC Fusion...what a deal!! Seriously, I will provide a report for you in the next week or so. I have significant playing time with the other balls. My golf shop retailer says the Hx Tour will outperform all of them and he is not a Callaway player! Later, Warren Thanks Warren. I'd appreciate that. Good luck with your new Fusion driver!!!!! haribo

Is there anybody who can give a brief step by step comparison between the Pro V1, Pro V1X, Hx Tour and URX in therms of driver length, iron length, trajectory and short game playability. Somehow I got to survive the next month before we can finally play here. Thanks, haribo

$45 in TO haribo means about $50 here , still that is a pretty good price . If they get here before the season starts :) Now if I like them and I can play them I just might have a new ball to play this year :D Yeah, I'm thinking the same. Like the Pro V1 (don't like the X). Got a feeling I gonna love the HX Tour (was a big fan of the old Rule 35, but never tried any of the other Callaway balls) but if the URX is on the same level as these two, I don't have a problem saving myself 15 -20 bucks for the dozen. haribo

Went to Golf Town again today and they just got the URX in today. The guy who was stocking the shelves didn't even know the price. Well, I asked him to check and it's about $45 Cdn. That's $20 less than the ProV1 and $15 less than the HX Tour. I'll definitely will give it a try when we finally can play here in a month or so. haribo
  9. I put a strip of lead tape over the weight plug. Just to be safe. :D haribo
  10. There's one more big difference between Rifle and DG shafts. They have different balance points. Rifle's have a 50:50 weighting which gives them a more solid, one piece feeling. DG has a 60:40 weighting. That's why they have this "snap" to it. Also the 50:50 balance point of the Rifle's gives them a tighter dispersion than the DG have. haribo

Two options. Either the famous sticker on the 5 iron, but I'm not sure if that is actually a believable source. It's a sticker, nuff said. Or you pull the shaft. Reason is simply, TM tour or japan issue heads are being forged at Miura. Miura uses a copper underlay before the heads go to chrome. By pulling the shaft you might be able to see traces of that copper inside the hosel. I have Firesole Forged irons. Bought them heads only. I could clearly see copper inside the hosel. haribo

Me too. They are still not available here in Toronto. Also, very interested to see how much they will go for. The ProV1 (don't like the X) goes for $64.95, the HX Tour $59.95 (all prices CDN of course). Really like to know how the URX will fare compared to that. haribo

When you do try out the HX Tour keep us posted on your findings. I'm really interested to hear how the HX and URX compare. haribo
  17. Nice review. Very informative. But now, if you don't mind, back to work. Let's get started with my wedges. Hope you got my email today.   haribo
  18. Are you sure they are made in different facilities... ??? Yes im sure. where are the two different facilities? Why is there a difference? What is your source? Its not that I doubt you, its that I have heard from others that they are made in the same place... Who have you heard from? Get over it philly.. stop post whoring .. .have you ever hit a tour club? Be nice here. I heard the same thing as well. From a very reputable source btw. (No need to ask ... I'm not saying from whom.) haribo

Mike, I can highly recommend Geo, a/k/a George Palombi from geoputters.com He's a great guy and nice to deal with. Got two putters from him, one being a Mizuno m400 The Reason by Scotty Cameron. George put another sight-line in for me (T sight-line now). It looks just like the JAT only smaller. He did a great job. haribo
  23. Here's what I did to get my 2ball up to my desired swingweight of D4. Posted this already in the Domestic folder but here it is again: First added leadtape into the cavities and played a few rounds until I figured out what feels perfect to me. Than I went to my clubmaker and weighted it to know where I'm at. Took the leadtape out and filled up the cavities with epoxy (5 min) and did a quick grind job just to figure out how many swingweight points the epoxy alone will account for. Weighted the club again and than took out the epoxy again. Cleaned the putter and put little stripes of leadtape in to account for the missing weight and make sure the end result will be D4. Than I re-did the epoxy job with 24 hour epoxy (easier to work with and smoother looking) cavity by cavity. After about 2 days I was ready to sand it down (by hand) and give it it's final shape. Last but not least I used some clear silicone shoe polish to seal the epoxy and give it it's rich charcoal colour. Took a bid time to do but it simply looks awesome.

What I know about the Sapphire is that it's a shaft Fujikura makes for Taylor Made's Tour Department exclusively (on request only, thou). It is basically identical to the Pro95 except it has a softer tip. Weight is like the Pro95 in the 95-96 gram area, as well is torque, 3.0*. Btw, the only Fuji i know that's 117 gram heavy is the HM-4. haribo
  25. I believe like the 510TP driver the R7 is an attempt by Taylor Made to shut down the tour equipment black market all together. TM is watching for quite some time how their tour stuff, free for player's, is disappearing and mysteriously showing up later on ebay for a lot of money. That's also the reason why clubs like the 500 showed up all over sudden. TM decided probably it's better to cash in themselves before others do. The additional bonus is they have the control over their products back. The best way to put a lid on this "tour issue drug dealing" is to make clubs available. Yes, their will be always tour stuff for the player's. But with some Tour Equipment like the TP or R7 readily available for the public, I believe people will think again before they fork out twice as much money. haribo
