Srixon's New ZR-700 Driver
I am very impressed with Srixon's releases to date, For those jumping on this in September, please provide a quick review. The shape and technology seems to be top notch and on the forefront. Curious to know if the 4part bulge is as straight and forgiving as anticipating? Anyone with experience on the now released WR driver that can add a comment? Thanks, Kent

Mizuno MP-HOKKAIDO Irons w/ PICS!
I am completely impressed with this sole design, unfortunatley I am a picker off hard turf and not a digger playing soft fairways. even said, this club has a beautiful design. Chris, I think these should be keepers if only 5 sets were made! Kent

Chris, Is there a true TPU insert in the PRGR iron, or is it just a different finish in the oval part?

Mizuno
I just saw the new Mizuno MP Craft 460 CC on the websight. Seams to be made of the same material blend as the 425cc version. Very attractive looking driver! Kent

What wedges would you get?
I am stuck on the exact same issue glad to see a fellow tsg'er wanting the same info, anyone have experience with both wedges? There is a good amount of write up on the Epons, but what about the TS's? Kent

My first round with a full JDM bag
One year in and look not only at your knowledge, but your club collection! I have to beg, borrow and steal to get my wife to let me add a club a year! Your gear rocks! Thanks for all the insight into the JDM mags as well as the blog. After a few more months with the Yamaha, give us a full fledged review. I love TSG Kent

Epon Wedges
What is the difference between the Epon Technity Wedge and the Epon X-Model? I see that there are finish options, but is the only other difference being copper in the model X wedge? The X wedge also comes in Satin finish, is this done over the copper or is another material used. Is there a design difference between the two? The loft and bounce remain equal in both versions. Lastly, is the Nicr20 finish available anymore in either wedge design? A lot of Q's, I know, Just want to be fully informed in my decision making...Thanks in advance! Kent

ViQ Forged 2007 size comparo
Thanks G, What would you say is the difference in feel from the TS ViQ and the MX-23's? Which is more forgiving and is one longer than the other (I know you have diff. shafts)? I feel I can compair as I play the MX-20's, which I do like as they have less offset than the 23's. But now I have the JPX forged coming into play (in my mind) as well....so confusing and addicting at the same time! Thanks for all your help G! Kent

Wedge comparison
A question for Chris or any of the moderators... Between the Tourstage 07' X-wedge and the Fourteen MT-28v3, which one of these wedges are easier to hit? Is one slightly bigger in head size than the other and which has the wider sole. I am intrigued by both sets but need a little help from my TSG friends! Also, do the Epons have a better feel in comparison? Wedges have caught my eye this year and I am tempted to pull the trigger on a set. I am limited because I prefer a lower bounce since I am a sweeper not a digger. Different question, My current wedges are Vokey design with True Temper wedge flex shafts, I could not find wedge flex info on the TT sight and was wondering what the difference would be to put in say the Black Gold stiff shaft, An Axiv Stiff shaft, a Nippon NS1100 Stiff, or the new SL DG300S. Any info would be appreciative. Thanks in advance to all... Kent

Gloss Black TSG Irons
Chris...the irons look awesome! I take it they are the type-J Epons??? They have a completely different look in black. You come up with the best stuff, magnificent!

Utilities
I second the endorsement of the Mizuno UX2, have in a 20 degree and I get a nice penetrating shot, I switched the Nippon 950 for a Fuji Bonzai stiff and it made a noticable difference, I get just the right amount of kick (with a 42 m/s driver swing speed) and it goes long and straight for me, best hybrid I have hit. What wedges would you get?
Claus, I too love the vokey design wedges. I am looking to splurge on a set of JDM wedges (52,55,58) as they are abundant this year. In your experience (or anyone else) which wedge has a similar playing characteristic to the vokey design, as I really like there shape. The offerings from Fourteen, Tourstage, epon, and Carlton are leading my search. I could use the advise of some TSG testers to help me guide my thougts on this purchase. Thanks, Kent

Chikara Sole Grind
Thank you Carlton, I appreciate the feedback & yes you answered my questions
-
Chikara Sole Grind
Hello Carlton, I love the look of the cut in the sole of your wedge. My question is whether that type of grind will effectivly reduce the bound on the sole? I am in the market for a set of three wedges (52, 55, 58) with an bounce of 8 degrees in each. I find this so hard to find in the retail listings as most 56 wedges have 12+ degree of bounce. I do not dig mutch but rather glide thorugh the grass with my swing. Would your grind help me? Also, since more bounce is good out of soft sand, how does your sole grind effect that as well? I am wondering because I really like the look of the grind, I just do not know the true benefits, Aslo I am not very good at opening the face so most of my approach shots I keep the face square or closed, in fairway and sand. Thanks in advance for your guidance. Kent

Tour Stage GR Driver & Fairway Woods
I noticed today on the TourStage sight the new GR series woods. I see that the fairway woods are made of SUS 630 Body with a 455 steel insert face. With the Driver I can only make out that it is made of 6AL-4V Titanium, since I cannot read Japanese, I am unable to identify if it has a face insert or what that material might be. Can anyone shead light onto this question? I know that they will not be available until June 07', however I wonder what the main difference is between these forgiving TS woods compaired to the ViQ series from Bridgestone? Any help would be appreciated on this topic. Also saw new golf balls listed for those interested... Respectfully, Kent

Finally found my gamers...
Gocchin, I have been viewing your comment for quite some time as I have about the same swing speed and figure about the same skill level based on your comments about your own game. I have eyed the Viq forged Irons out of the gate and I live vicariously through your product testing and knowledge. If only my wife would let me purchase a set Any way I wanted to thank you for your posts and Impakto sight for all the great information. In a year+ when a new forged love comes along, give me a pm for your current set of gamers as I would give them a good home Seriously though, I am curious as to how you are getting along with the Yamaha compared to the epon driver. The Yamaha does have a nice look, but how does it perform? thanks, Kent

Mizuno JPX Forged Cavity Backs w/PICS!
Chris, In your opinion, between this JPX Mizzy and the TS Forged VIQ's of 2007, which club would you suggest to a 18 handicaper who wants to push and improve, but not get to beat up. Would they be equal in feel & forgiveness? What would you consider the main differences??? Of all the newer offerings these two would be lovely to see in my bag one day... Kent

New PRGR IS3 501 Forged Iron w/PICS!
Chris, Very Nice looking indeed. I noticed these on the PRGR sight, but I must say that your pictures make them much more pleasing to the eye. What are the benefits of thier construction & do they have a polymer/dampner in the back for feel? As always, when you get the chance to test them out, let us know how they play. Thanks for the pics! Uncle Kent

Drev is it good for Epon 460
Marchy...are you refering to the "swoosh" that wraps around the word Technity on the new line of Epon products? If so, this is the newer logo for Epon products that are out on the market. Kent

Homna / Beres
I remember Chris stating the Beres has a few things planned for 2007 that we should be on the look out for. After viewing the sight, I am intrigued with the new MG 712 Iron & Wood series. With my swing speed at 42 m/s and a tendancy to slice now and then, I would be interested in a review of these items in the spring. Infact, for all of the us at the slower end of the swing speed spectrum, a testing of the new forged irons from XXIO, WR Srixon, and any other game enhancement iron would be great to see. As much as I love the muscle back irons that are coming out of Japan, I would benefit more from the irons mentioned above. Beres also has a new MG 900 series driver that looks great. On a quest for new irons this summer....would love to have them custom made by TSG!
