  1. A 3-wood stinger. Now there's a challenge I've got to try. Off to the range I go. One can never have too many options.
  2. I've been working on the stinger shot and I've been getting it to a point where I can hit it on a regular basis with my 3 iron. The ball flight is lower, but it rolls forever.........210 yards on a nice baked-brown hard fairway. Keep in mind that only about 170-180 of that is carry. Note.........I've tried to hit the stinger with a hybrid. It doesn't happen for me. My hybrid's weighting probably make it impossible to hit a stinger. I may get a 2 iron just for the hell of it now.
  3. Off to the driving range I go. I figure that hitting the Stinger would be a good alternative to hitting a driver and fairway wood all the time. Especially if the fairways get dried out as the summer goes on.
  4. Thanks...........I will now give that a try. But, I'll be using a 3 iron since I don't have a 2.
  5. All right, Tiger won The Open using his 2-iron and "Stinger" shot. I want to give it a try. How is this shot hit?
  6. Finnaly, a Nissan GT-R makes it to the US.
  7. Gotta love that G-Field Premiun Zone Putter. Chris, I thought you were also playing the ERC III Driver?
  8. I've done some research on this before I got my ERC Hot from Chris. The ERC Hot HS (Tour) is square and provides a flatter, boring trajectory than the ERC Hot. The FT-3 Tour is 0.5 to 1.0 degree open, and is weighted to to provide a flatter, boring trajectory too. There is no comparison for distance. My ERC Hot is 20 to 25 yards longer than my FT-3.
  9. I love the Ultraman. I have told my kids to get me one for Father's Day.
  10. Chris, I can't pull up G-Field putters in the pro shop. I would love to see what putters you carry. It keeps showing me Gauge Desing putters. Thanks.
  11. 1. Favorite shaped driver from Top Line: Bridgestone's J33, Titleist 905R, Cleveland's Comp or Nike Ignite 2. Favorite Sole Design: Callaway's X18/X460 3. Favorite type of Score Lines (line type, how many lines, paint filled, non paint filled): Some scorelines outside dead center. No score lines in the dead center spot. 4.Hosel Type: Callaway's S2H2 5. Color or Colors: Top should be gray or black. Bottom can have any design. The bright Nike SQ and new Taylor Made R7 colors adds some nice bling. 6. Favorite Material For Face: Nike's Next Ti of SP700 7. Carbon Fiber Crowns: Yes, if it's like the Cleveland Comp. 8. Would you prefer not to have to use a tool to adjust your weight: Weight adjustment does nothing for me. 9. Best Sounding Driver: Callaway's X460 or Cobra's Speed series. A nice loud smack does wonders for the ego. 10. Alignment Devices on top of head: A simple arrow is nice. I like the Nike SQ arrow.
  12. The putter will definitely have grooves on it like the C-Groove to make the ball roll better and true.

I totally agree. I'm using the Callie C-Groove and the roll of the golf ball on the green is so smooth and true.
  14. I agree. The putter is looking good!!!
  15. The Ping Isoforce.......love the look of those little milled hexagonal pixels. If money is no object, I'd try the Ping JAS
  16. If he wants versitility, Tiger should try the Slingshot Hybrids.
  17. I hear Tiger hits that T-40 Tour 5 wood around 240 yards. Does anyone know if the T-40 is still available?
  18. My favorites, in alphabetical order: Callaway Steelhead III Cleveland Launcher 2004 Nike SQ Nike T-60 Ping G5 Taylor Made V-Steel
  19. I agree. The only exception to this is that $400.00 Ping JAS putter.
  20. They do sell them here in the US. They are called the 580 XD Fairway Wood and are a d**k's Sporting Goods Exclusive....for $199.99. Here's the link: http://www.d**kssportinggoods.com/product/...searchId=714750
  21. I've done the exercises that were recommended to me and limited hitting balls at the range. The pain in the right elbow has gotten better and I should be ready for the Spring.
  22. Testing the tackiness of the new grip.
  23. Nice looking driver. Maybe this is why Cleveland has dropped the prices on their current drivers here in the U.S.

To reshaft an FT-3, it's better to have the old shaft Dremelled out than messing with the heating guns.
  25. Can you provide a link to the Golf Digest article online? Thanks.
