  1. Thanks Joe. They have not been altered and look pretty close to new.
  2. Since your name is christ, it's you I want to kill. Oops, a few of your buddies already beat me to it. How's that for blasphemous controversy? Now have a cup of shut the f*ck up. Anyone want to buy some irons?

Just a little preview for the motivated buyers out there. I will get pics later if the irons are still available tonight. Miura MB5002 3-PW in satin nickel (custom order from Japan). Blueprinted with X100 shafts soft stepped once. Condition 9/10. These irons are deadly accurate, perfect feel, and really only for true golf enthusiasts. These irons are now rare. Miura Japan as we all know has a NA distributor and they do not have these irons. Miura Japan will not sell direct to a NA customer. If you are lucky enough to have a Japan contact to do a Miura order, you still have to wait to see if they will do satin nickel. In other words, these irons are not getting in your hands anytime soon and they would be no less than $1200 blueprinted. Get them here and now for $750. Please do not send me PMs with trade offers, I will not reply. And don't ask for pics. When I have some time and feel like posting pics, I will get to it. The irons may be sold before then anyway. It's not like I sell junk and am going to rip you off, so don't panic, if you want a high quality iron set, let's talk.
  4. I made an offer, feel free to counter offer if it is too low.

Before and After? How about taking pics that show a difference? I don't see anything that dramatic, just very subtle changes.
  6. I have interest in the wedges (GW, SW, and LW), if you are interested in selling those only. Pics?
  7. At the rate the bidding is going, I just may keep them.
  8. 9.5 in the 510 DF. I tried it in the 9.5 R7 TP, but it was not as long, still a good launch, but the R7 is overrated.
  9. If I don't get the price, they just may stick around for another year, but I am leaning towards playing MP-32s next year. For now, I am giving Miura MBs a whirl.
  10. It's been good to me for a year, but I think next year will be a change. For sale is my all Shigeki setup (except the Driver for obvious reasons). *** Update, left for sale is... MR-23 FWs #3, 5 and 7 with TXD 65 S flex shafts and headcovers $500 for the set. Bettinardi Maru Putter $450 Tourstage Carry Bag (a little heavy for carry with leather panels)..deal pendng. The FWs are clean faces but tiny paint chips. Putter is in excellent condition, but it can use a new grip.
  11. I did it twice and played it, but hated the Driver. My bag now is MR-23 irons and wedges and the Bettinardi putter. But I have gone to TM for the Driver and Sonartec for the FWs. However, I am looking at going to an all new set for 2005, just for fun....
  12. Here you go....
  13. List has been edited.

I am too lazy to put prices in right now and this stuff is heading to EBay soon anyway. But here is a first crack to the golf forum communities. Make an interesting offer and you will at least get a reply, other offers will most likely be ignored. So much to do....so little time. Retail Taylor Made R7 9.5 loft with wrench and the standard 4 weights (2-2gs and 2-10gs). MAS2 shaft in S flex. Standard setup, headcover included, condition is at least 8/10 just due to age, it really looks nice. Taylor Made R7 TP with full weight kit, 9.5 loft, Joe K installed Fuji TourSpec 693TR in S flex, length 44.5, magnetic headcover included, condition about 9/10. TaylorMade 510 TP 9.5 loft with TM graphics Speeder 757 in S flex. Standard setup. Tourstge MR-23 Fairway woods with standard tourstage txd-65 shafts in S flex. Condition is 7+ - 8/10. They are still nice, but used. I have the 3, 5 and 7 woods available with headcovers. Mizuno TN-87 irons 3 - 9 irons only. A used set in 6/10 condition. Plenty of bag chatter, a few tiny spots of wear showing the copper, but the grooves are still excellent. S300 shafts. Mizuno TN-87s redone in satin. Yes, these are the ones I just won, but I don't think I am going to play them. 3 - 9 iron with a Scratch PW. Scratch wedge, 58*, 8* bounce in antique looking finish, excellent condition, 9/10. Has a custom grind to reduce the bounce in the center like the TM 303 58* wedges. Sonartec MD 21 utility with IROD in S flex. Pretty much brand new, I hit about 20 range balls and do not care for it. Cobra 414 Comp Driver in 9* loft with Mitsubishi Rayon 45S shaft (that's S flex), pretty much brand new, hit about 25 range balls, not sure what I am doing with it, it's deep, but I cannot get off the 510 DF. Bridgestone Professional J irons 2-PW in great condition for their age, some bag chatter, but faces very clean. About a 8/10 condition. Rifle 5.5s Hiro Matsumoto MB-01 Putter with Bronze looking finish. One tiny nick on topline, otherwise tip-top condition. 35" length. Titleist 704CBs 3-PW with S300s, excellent, used only a few rounds, like 2 or 3.
  15. Anyone have a set of NS Pro 950s in S flex? I may consider 1050s. Looking for a nice set of pullouts.
  16. While I may have in the past pushed the envelope in the interest of calling it like it is and making the site better in the long run, the fact is I have been banned...twice. Once I was banned for a few days, but that was no big deal, I think I was out of town anyways. But the last go around I was banned almost a month. The irritating part was that I was banned for unflattering posts in the Insider area where it was supposed to be anything goes except religious or political comments. It really does not matter now. I was reinstated, the administration and I agree to disagree and I will stay out of board management/improvement issues in the future. Which is fine, this stuff is supposed to be fun, not a lesson in aggravation. Robbie will probably be back because as I recall from past postings, it is Robbie who cannot stay away. :smile2:
  17. I have been playing a MR-23 combo set for almost 18 months with a few breaks of 2-3 weeks. With a softer shaft in the CBs, that's all the forgiveness I need to get the ball more airborne on the long irons. That's really where the difference comes in between MR-23 MB/CB, they are both very similar in size and setup but the CB offers a higher trajectory. Sticking with one set of irons for a year has really helped improve the iron game, I am hitting my irons better than ever. While the MR-23s certainly are not the most foriving iron around, I cannot score any better with Callaways. It's a comfort issue. Put a larger iron in my hand and I am all over the face. If I get sloppy with the MR-23s, then I do switch to a larger CB just to take a break, and then I go back to hitting MR-23s better than before. One thing I have learned over the years of club ho'g is that the shaft is the key. You can make the most fogiving irons out there a mess with the wrong shaft and you can learn to hit butter knife blades with the right shaft. Still the repeatable tee shot with the Driver eludes me. It's costing me at least 5 strokes a round, and on some days more.
  18. The main reason I hate the R7 is because when you start tinkering with ball flight and add a lot of weight, it changes the shaft characteristics quite a bit. If you add the heavy weights you can almost count on a much lower ballflight. Maybe we some other shaft (and I tried about 5 different ones) you might get higher launch, but I doubt it. I would get a 65g shaft setup nicely, then follow TMs recommendations for a high draw, add more weight, and hello low hooks. While it may be generally true a heavier head makes the shaft softer (hmm...this does not sound good for children), if you do not have the swing speed to deal with the added swingweight, you are in trouble.
  19. Who's Your Froggy.....that's f'g funny. Still loving the MR23s simply because I am used to them. It's crazy I know, but I have over 40 rounds into these irons, well beyond a record.

I think it's coincidental. When a few of us started to use the term "Larry" it was not a term of endearment, it was the equivalent of calling someone a dork. But after awhile in our group, to be called a "Larry" is somewhat a sign of respect, though in a joking way. We just do not call anyone a Larry, though we might, and the context makes it quite obvious if we are calling you a true dork or a likeable one. We use the term so much that its funny if we ever get hooked up with another twosome at a course and one of them is really named Larry. * Disclaimer: These posts are in no way meant to offend anyone really named Larry. If you have issues, take it up with your parents.
  21. Then pry it back from Zach! After all those hard work i put on it and hit it as long as you ever did, I would tell him to suck it up to get off my hand. :surprize:   Joe ps: BTW I still have at least 3 in stock LMAO :money:  I do have it back from Zach, that's why I am not hitting the stupid R7 anymore. Zach is back to being Mr. Kasco with mini-truck driver.
  22. The Fuji Tour Spec 693TR with the TM 510 DF (not TP) is affectionately known around here as THE TRUCK DRIVER. It is the longest driver in golf, bar none. Awesome, awesome shaft for the 510 DF or similar sized club heads. When it is cut and fit, it plays a little lighter than one would think, low 60s in grams, just perfect. But I would never put this shaft in a FW, too lite.

Quit being a Larry and put the Ping Coppers in play.
  24. I have a pretty weird setup. The 7-PW are the MR-23 blades with S200s and the 3-6 are MR-23 CBs with NS Pro 950s. I keep meaning to get the shafts redone on all of them but I waited so long that what's the point now. I am hitting the long irons pretty well, so why change?
