  1. Call the manufacturer and ask them. They know.
  2. IMO, a shaft is a shaft, whether its the DGs, FRs, or PXs. It depends on the user as to how they want their ball flight. Feel is most important to me, that's why I don't like the DGs. I was fine with the FRs but prefer the slightly flatter ball flight of the PXs (and slightly extra stiffness). If your iron play is inconsistent, a shaft won't make a difference.
  3. I'm the perfect candidate to answer this question as I'm going through this right now. I've been using using Flighted Rifles 6.0 in my irons. I bought a 7 iron PX 6.0 shaft from leaderboardgolf to try out. Made the switch yesterday and went out to the range today. I'm sold on the PXs!!! I can't really describe it. My ball flight with the FRs was a nice arc but with the PXs it had a straight initial launch and it seems like forever before it flattens out and then takes a while again before the ball ever comes down. I've probably easily gained another 10-15 yards or so. I'm hitting my 7 iron 170-175 yards or so now! I gave my clubmaker to go ahead to reshaft the entire set. Note though that the PXs do play slightly stiffer than the FRs. My 6.0s measured out to be around 6.2-6.3, not enough for me to make a difference. It's a lot of money so my advice is to buy a shaft in your favorite iron and try it out first.
  4. From what I gather, much like the R510TP, only 9.0 lefthanded is made because that's what Mike Weir is using. As for the other lofts, no right-hander on tour is using 9.0
  5. Those black RACs are beautiful. I saw Sergio use them today.

Basically what I do is make sure that the ball lands 12-18 inches past the hole. I don't even worry about the aim. Even better, don't even use the hole. I usually use 2 pieces of string as my target "box" and put away. It has improved my speed tremendously.
  7. I think I'll stick with the TFRs for now since they can be had from the factory. If I change to PXs I might as well go all out, like what geronimo did. Simply awesome pics! Thank you for your insight.
  8. Thanks! Make sense now. I'm still a 6.0 but what am I with the PXs? I've heard conflicting stories as to how much stiffer they play. Are they really worth it or should I just stick with my Flighted?
  9. Hold on. Going off the track but I'm totally confused now. If want a FCM of 6.0 I should be getting a 5.0? Is this for irons or drivers?
  10. Yeah, I did, my desired FCM is 6.0. SW D2, and 45" driver length. It ends up being 4.6
  11. I guess I'm not doing it right. If I tweak it the way I usually play my irons, according to that, I should be playing a 4.5 shaft!
  12. That Frequency Matching Calculator doesn't help me at all. They base it on a 37.5" 5-iron (mine is 38"). Also the driver is 43" (mine is 45"). My driver swing speed on average is 105MPH with ability to top out at 115MPH. I try to match my tempo like Ernie and Couples, hence the slower swingspeed for me. I'm not sure if I consider myself a hitter or a swinger. I guess I'll ask my swingcoach.
  13. Hi guys, I'm planning on reshafting my irons. I play a Rifle Flighted 6.0 and was thinking about switching to PXs. Are they PX shafts all they are made out to be? I'm happy with my 6.0s but would prefer a lower ball flight. Would the PX do this? Also, I read in another thread below that the PX are stiffer than advertised. But I'm confused to how much. Some say 1.5X others 0.3-0.4. Anyways, is it worth switching to PX or should I just stick with the Flighted 6.0s? Thanks! Mike
  14. Thanks FAQ! Are the MR-23 CB offset the same as the blades?
  15. Hi guys, Been searching and couldn't find the offset specs for the MR-23s (blade or CB), 101s, 201s. If you have them, would you be so kind and post them? Thanks! Regards, mike
  16. Thanks Chris! That's the thing, I want to check out the clubs in person before I spend a good chunk of change on a set.
  17. Hi guys, Looking for a set of irons right now and I'm eyeing the MR-23s (either blades or CBs). However, I can't find anyone in Los Angeles that carries them (and I've gone to japanese golf stores). Would anyone here in TSG living in LA be able to let me check them out (don't need to hit them but definitely want to take a look at them). What are the differences between the MR-23s and the Z101s? Or the Xblades? I tried the search but can't find the specs. What are the offset to these clubs? TIA! Regards, Mike
  18. Per Macgregor reply I got a while back: "Face progression is very similar to offset but with one difference. Face progression is a measurement from the center of the hosel to the leading edge of the face. Offset is a measurement from the leading edge of the hosel to the leading edge of the face. We believe face progression gives a much more accurate depiction than offset measurements"
  19. Those might be old pictures. Sergio used an R7 and the mezza monza at the byron nelson.
  20. Scam! With the kind of hype the R7s are making, I would charge at least double, increase my profit margin and not lose money. It's definitely a scam.

    Where in Socal are you?
  22. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
  23. These are my options. I'm a 4-6 handicap with a SS of 105+. I've never hit a full set of the flighted so I was wondering what your opinions on these two shafts are. TIA!
