  1. Not really closed as best as I can recall. It's probably how I was setting them up on the floor while trying to take a good pics of them. Tough to hold the driver while taking pics, ya know. optical illusion. put any two drivers next to each other and the one on the left will look closed.
  2. you can try Putter Around in broward - they do good work there and have a launch monitor/fitting area. they don't buy into all the spining/flo stuff though, so don't expect any of that from them. they do good clean work. in miami there used to be the van that set up at the doral range - cmd? not sure if they are still there or not. they are expensive but have a good reputation for doing good work with all the latest info. plus they can do fittings on an outdoor range.
  3. T and S series both are in 400cc. Joe  Got to see both earlier yesterday and even though both are 400cc but they are proportionally sized differently. I have few pics and will post it at a later date if someone here requests it. I hit the 905T and it's very likely that it might make into my bag when I can get it with my specs. um... what club ISN'T likely to make it into your bag? ;-)
  4. i had thought the same... but in recent weeks i've seen gary koch and david toms doing interviews holding the driver, and you could clearly see the white writing on the toe. it was too hard to tell if there was a 460 on the hosel or not though...
  5. i watched on tivo, definitely saw the blue oval graphic for the diamana on the underside of the shaft.
  6. just swingweighted them. on my scale they are all -exactly- D2.5 except for the PW which is D4.
  7. chanced upon these and thought i'd pass them along. this is a set of 2-PW of tour 300 forged irons in great shape. there's no major face wear, great grooves and chrome, and only what looks like maybe 10 rounds of use on them. the only major wear is a ding high on the face of the 9 iron - does not affect play, just off to the side of the grooves on the toe. there are some marks from loft and lie adjustments it looks like - but nothing major. the 2 iron is the only one with the 2mm stamp but these were all built and delivered as one set. i am not an expert on 2mm offset, but it appears like it's progressive - the longer irons have more and the shorter irons have a little less offset or maybe it's just an optical illusion from the loft...? no serial number on 5-iron of course. the shape of the bottom of the cavity is slightly different when compared to the retail 6 iron that i have. normal round toe, not box toe. they have newly installed s300s w/ v55 grips, also new... i can provide pics ... $650 obo - trades welcome... i'd be interested in a retail 8.5 launcher comp w/ nv 65x or 75x plus cash. don't need 3 woods or irons or wedges. a yes! callie plus cash maybe.
  8. 8/10 or better condition - i don't care about rust or chrome wear, but the grooves need to be good and no major dings.
  9. great shape, 8/10, no paint chips or paint scratches of any visible kind. sole marks. here are your options (all prices include shipping, paypal only, lower 48 only): - head only - $200 - as currently assembled with very rare and expensive fuji 671te tour spec in untipped X, spined, flo’d 44.5” playing length - $325
  10. sonartec ss-07 14*, with proto nv 95 stiff tipped 1". good condition except for a small nick on the paint on the hosel and pin point things on the toe that were touched up and polished and not visible at address. $145 shipped ground. generic headcover included.
  11. great condition, 8.5/10, no paint chips or paint scratches of any visible kind. light sole marks. 4 grams of cotton stuffed inside to make it sound even more solid. here are your options (all prices include shipping, paypal only, lower 48 only): - head only - $200 - as currently assembled with very rare and expensive fuji 671te tour spec in untipped X, spined, flo’d 44.5” playing length - $345 - with fuji fit-on pro 80 x or fuji sapphire (tour only shaft) x (installed or just in the box) for $300.
  12. fit on pro 80 x, untipped, ~44" one time pull, $105 fit on sapphire x, tour only shaft, ~43.5" one time pull, $105
  13. hmm... i could take the 3-8 for the right price.. PM me if you are interested in doing as Howie suggests.
  14. primo - i may have misled you. i don't know what i was thinking in my earlier post... but it's likely that the shaft was tipped. if you recall in my other post i was comparing to my r510tp driver, but i failed to account for the fact that in a 3 wood, if the shaft is tipped and butt trimmed a comparable amount, it would still have that amount of tourspec graphic showing. jich is correct - if it measures 29" to the start of the tourspec graphics, it's untipped. sorry if i messed you up ;-) - however, it still stands that it's a stiff, not an X and that your trti was tipped ;-)!!!
  15. to add - judging by the amount of tour spec graphics visible on the trti, it looks like that shaft was tipped quite a bit while the 660tr stiff was not tipped at all! i have two r510 tps both w/ tour specs - one is a stiff flex that was tipped a bunch (looks like the trti in this picture) and the other is an x that wasn't tipped (looks like the 660tr).
  16. confused... in the picture, it shows a stiff flex 660tr yet you say it's an x...
  17. Hey Joe...I'm playing the OC on Monday. Any helpful hints? :-D lucky bastage... how was it?
  18. raw finish, but not rusted. conservative 8/10 condition, no major dings or wear. 4* bounce. standard head shape, thin effective sole, straight leading edge. s400 shaft and tour velvet grip, all original. $80 shipped in lower 48, paypal okay.
  19. My swing must be really bad then because i got lead tape all over my R7. The weight plugs only worked for the first month I owned it. even the guys on the JPGA got lead tape on their R7s with the 14g weights. :-D but ya know them Japanese they love lead tape on everything even their headcovers :surprize: they only worked the first month? i daresay it's more likely that your swing changed than suddenly the weights themselves changed ;-) like anything, when you get used to a different feel you can compensate for a surprising amount of stuff. that's why they say when doing a lie angle test only take a couple swings - after that you will start to subconsciously try to compensate for whatever the lie angle to get a better result. or when testing shafts, take a couple swings then take a break or you will start to adapt your natural move to the feel of the shaft.
  20. NO DOUBT. he's shady either way. i'm just surprised he didn't offer it at the low low price of $3000 (plus shipping and paypal fees) as a FAVOR to his beloved members, lol...
  21. my take... it's not necessarily that HIS margins are 500% on these types of deals - in fact, i doubt his margins are particularly good at all. remember, he is one of the people propping up and hyping the tour 'market,' and he openly solicits backdoor suppliers. that means the people he's buying from by and large must know that their clubs are worth something and are probably either too lazy or fearful of exposure to sell them on their own. so todd offers them a 'service' to hype a high price and sell it on their behalf. or as i suspect might also be common, he 'promises' his supplier he can sell a club for $3000- but he has to give up a big chunk of that i'm sure. if he were making 500% on a club that he acquired as a result of the open solicitation in his signature, i think the supplier might be a bit miffed to be cut out of the deal. end of that supply chain! now, on the other hand, he did acquire a bunch of r500 heads and tried to sell them for $200 more than the other closeout houses... but he also got caught in that act pretty quick. he also got exposed quickly when he tried to sell a club pro's sample set of 704.cbs as 'tour issued' but people's memories seem to be short. i am by no means defending him, by the way - hell, no. he's pissed because he probably made an outrageous promise that he now can't deliver to his suppliers. i just don't think he's that smart a businessman to make that much money ;-) he's clearly demonstrated no understanding of market economics.
  22. i have an aj tech something or other that came out of an ss07- you can have it for like $10 just to get it out of here if you want, lol...
