What happened to the XD tour with 660?

I have found the BlueG to be an excellent shaft. It's as good if not better than the top end Fujis. I've played. If it's considered the bottom of the line Japanese GD the others must be amazing.

Check the driver review sec. There is a very nice detailed review in there. I have the ProSpec with the GD BlueG. I don't have the time right now to give a review that's worthy of the driver but in a word, WOW. Looks alone.... awesome. If you like the deep pear shaped heads you'll love this. To my eye it sets up dead square. Classic full face scoring lines. Incredible black finish with no allignment aid. The little "ass piece" is a total non-factor. Not visible in ANY way at address. Length... like Chris reported, it's long. He said it was longer than the non-conforming drivers. I'm not surprised. Feel.... one word, solid. I got caught up for a while in the TM tour driver hype. IMO the feel of the 390 is much more solid than the TMs. Sorry about the Cliff's Notes version. Work calls.....

First off it was waiting for me when I arrived home from work so I didn't hit it yet. Based on looks alone.... WOW! what a great looking stick. The size and shape of the head are beautiful. Deep pear shaped face. Full face grooves. Crown is black with no allignment aid. Oh, and the shaft... It has the Graphite Design BlueG. It's GDs answer to the high-end Fujis. The top of the shaft has a chrome look. So at address it's chrome kinda like the Mitsu. Shaqx or Vista Tour Fuji. all the way from the grip to the hosel and the back side fades into a deep blue. I can't wait to hit it. On looks alone it's about the best lookin driver I've seen. I just went and looked at it again... do I play this thing or put it up on the wall in a display case.

Wow, lots of love for the prospecs. Very refreshing to see tour WITB pics. that aren't dominated by TM. Chris, are most of the PS the 390s? I would imagine there are some 325s in the mix. Thanks.

I agree. Thanks Precision. This is the only post I've seen on the r7 that actually has me a little excited about it. Seeing all the different weighting configs. and their effects on ball flight is intriguing.

Still my all time favorite driver in the looks dept. She's a beauty.

Anyone interested in a tour issued 56.12 rac Black wedge? This tour version has FE203 stamped on it instead of BLACK like the retail versions. Like new. Only hit a couple balls at the range. Never played. Looking for $215 OBO shipped. Feel free to PM me if interested. Thanks :D

MGB- If the staff players aren't able to test them in public are you saying no R7 protos. or R7s were tested by staff members in actual tournament play? Wouldn't that be considered unusual. Seems like the pros are always playing/testing the latest drivers out on tour for quite a while before introducing them to the public.

Those sound like they play as good as they look. No doubt both irons have wonderful feel and play great, but IMO the edge goes to the 27s based on looks.

I've seen the 704s new for $649. A set of 101s just fetched $660 on ebay. I'm sure they can be had for a bit less if you look around. A month ago 101s were only getting around $500. Now they're a lot harder to find and the prices are rising. btw. where do you expect to find satin 101s?

They do look really nice. Bet they're quite a bit more forgiving than the 101s. Not that the 101s are not forgiving, those just look 202 forgiving. Sweet sticks. btw. I've got a 390 ProSpec on the way with the Blue G. I can't wait... :D

Thank's for the replys. Too bad the 201s don't have the feel of the 202s. They are a great size and I like the amount of offset. btw. DD, are the Miz. MX-20s pretty much the same as the new 23s? How much offset do the 20s have?
