  1. The G-Field GFT with a Graphite Design AD Tour shaft should be perfect for you, I had a 4 wood with a AD Tour I 65 stiff shaft in it, unfortunately it was stolen last week along with a set of Tourstage X Bade CB's and various other stuff. I really would like my GFT back, it was a superb fairway wood!
  2. In my (limited) experience the sheer quality of materials, craftmanship and attention to detail finishing, place the JDM equipment in a totally different category to the US/China OEM's, the price we pay for our HO'ing of JDM gear reflects this! The domestic markets in the US and Europe would not stand the price point that JDM equipment is marketed at. My PRGR T3 with Axiv V has a retail tag of nearly $1000 USD, compare that to the average OEM driver at $300, is my PRGR worth 3 times a Callaway X460 or a Cobra M Speed, possibly not, would the average US or European golfer pay that amount of money, certainly not! I can honestly say that in over 30 years of playing this game I have never owned anything that came close to my newly acquired Japanese clubs in terms of quality, feel and playability. But the real reason that we TSG members are so devoted to our JDM clubs - the kudos of owning something so special, the pride of ownership and the exclusivity are the reasons that many of us spend so much on our beloved clubs - Long may it continue!
  3. Beer what a topic! Like many posters I have several favourites, Guinness from Ireland ( I agree, not the same anywhere else!), Carlsberg and Tuborg from Scandinavia, Pilsner from The Czech Republic, Sam Adams from the USA, and here at home in England - Black Sheep, Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Mordue Workie Ticket ( Newcastle), Old Peculiar and many more! Does this make me an alchoholic, I also love red wine and single malt whisky, bourbon, Irish Whiskey and Polish Vodka - all in moderation of course!
  4. If it is for sale please PM me with a price shipped to the UK! Nick
  5. I have a SS of 100 to 105 and find that my Axiv V 6070 is about right, maybe just a touch on the soft side if I really go after it for maximum distance. The Axiv V's in my fairway and hybrids are slightly heavier and slightly stiffer than that in my driver and I definately prefer them in terms of accuracy and distance. My SS produces a ball speed of 155 to 160mph but I do have a a very fast late snap in my wrists, one of the reasons I switched to Axiv V's, they do limit the number of snap hooks that I used to get!
  6. I have read that they are two tone, white one side, colour on the other - wicked! I would like to read a review from anyone who has used this shaft and who also has experience of the Axiv V, I just love this new technology - even if my bank manager doesn't!!!

Forged, by Endo I think - Tourspecgolfer will no doubt confirm this.
  8. Wow - beautiful -I want one now! Then you say sorry sold out! Can't believe how cruel you can be at times Chris! LOL
  9. iDrive, you have out Ho'd us all, everyone is now filled with envy! What a beautiful set of irons, probably the nicest I have ever seen, they are too nice to play with, but as Chris says the standard type 'J' has probably the softest feel out there, these will be like melted butter. I can see you spending the rest of your life cleaning them! Enjoy.
  10. You could try Nippons NS Pro 1150 Tours in stiff flex, if you want something a little heavier, but as a crazygolfer says you really need to find out the comparable head weights because overal swingweight and balance are two of the most important factors in controlling dispersion.
  11. My G-Field Premium Zone has one in it, nice shaft but I am not convinced that there is much difference between putter shafts of equal weight! In a putter I look for balance, feel, overall weight, comfortable grip, ease of alignment. My Nippon iron shafts are the best I have ever used so I am happy to have one in my putter, it gives me one less thing to worry about in the area that has always been my achilles heel - if i could put I would be down to scratch in no time!
  12. That sounds like great advice, Tourspecgirl is ALWAYS spot on with her advice, she helped me enormously with my shafts. You may also want to consider the new Roddio shafts, but my own feeling is that you are not helping yourself to release the driver with a D7 swingweight particularly if you naturally lag your hands through impact, a lighter swingweight may not feel as comfortable at first but should help you release the clubhead.
  13. Of the choices listed I think that the Nippons would give the best feel, none of your choices are low trajectory, the Black gold and the Nippons are mid trajectory, the DG's would be higher. The Nippons do play softer than stated flex in my experience, not sure that you would need or want to soft step them!

  15. That is a beautiful putter, no excuses now for missed puts! I am very interested to know how it compares with your G-Field as I am waiting for my Premium Zone #0 to arrive!

Would love to see pics of the ComoCome bags Chris, please, please!
  17. What a great site this is, Chris (Tourspecgolfer) is in business to sell clubs, yet he recomends another shop and continues to give brilliant advice. Long may you prosper, everything that I have bought from here (via my clubmaker adt69) has been first class.
  18. It's in my diary, I will be there, maybe no golf if the weather is too cold but the show pictures had already made me decide to make the trip, looking forward to meeting you!
  19. Thanks Chris, that's convinced me to make the trip, I would like to combine a golfing holiday with a trip to the Tokyo Golf Show in early 2008, is that feasable or is the weather in Japan like here in the UK, non-golf friendly in the winter months! Nick
  20. Great insight Blader, I have never been to Japan but it is now firmly at the top of my 'things to do before I die' list, I have heard so many stories about how difficult it is to get to play actual golf in Japan, that most Japanese 'golfers' have to wait to join a driving range and that actually playing on a golf course is something that many golfers in Japan never achieve. Can anyone dispel these stories, or can you confirm that this is the case? Thanks
  21. I dare not ask!!!! Oh all right then - Chris - how much?
  22. I have had my NS Pro 950 GH stiff for nearly 5 months and I am absolutely delighted with them, yes they do play slightly softer than flex, but IMO they are the best iron shafts available. I have tried all the current shafts except Black gold, The Nippons are so predictable, have wonderful feel and I have found that I can easily control the trajectory to play knock down shots or high floaters. I have to admit that the tour concepts are very close in performance, but to me, they didn't offer the same quality of feel and I too had some issues with distance control with them. The Nippons are not as long as Project X in my experience, but I didn't like the PX as I couldn't feel the clubhead, the shaft seemed lifeless to me. Hope my 2 cents worth is helpful!
  23. Come on Chris, put us out of our misery - what is the TSG project? ??????? :ntsg_smilie_bulls**t:
