I may be help your friend out with some ladies irons, my friend is just having some Tourstage CB's made, assuming that she likes them, her 2005 Callaway Lady Big Bertha's will be for sale, full set, little use perfect condition. If interested PM me, we live in the UK so may not be practicable for you! (Claus my friend, I really do feel sorry for you being stuck with tall, blonde scandinavian girls - LOL, my GF fits thats profile and I wouldn't swap her for anything - well not for anything legal!
  2. This forum is such an eye opener, for many years I thought that there was only me who was addicted to the quest to find the 'perfect' golf clubs - glad to see that i'm not alone! I am looking for a FW and my clubmaker is suggesting the Alpha V5, GFT or maybe PRGR M3 hit ( thanks Plus1), I will be specifying an axiv shaft in whatever I choose. Would love to get involved in the discussion about cars, my second (or is it third, or if my girfriend is reading this my fourth) passion. I have imported and owned a number of Japanese cars ( NSX, Skyline GTR etc), but still prefer my Carrera S 997 ( even though I can't get my clubs in it!)- each to his own I suppose. I am blown away by all the hi-tech TV, phone and hi-fi talk, don't know anything about it but have an all feeling it could get added to the 'interests' list! Nick
  3. Does this mean that the unanimous opinion is the Epon 460? I have not heard a bad word about it, but virtually every reviewer has an Axiv shaft in their 460, I have an Axiv v in my PRGR T3 and consider it to be the best shaft I have ever used, and I am delighted with the PRGR, if the Epon is any better it must be fantastic. Claus, 3 bags is in no way excessive, I currently have 7 or is it 8 sets of Irons, only 6 drivers, 8 FW's, 7 wedges, 5 putters - my girlfriend doesn't understand, but I can forgive her! Merry Xmas everyone.
  4. Plus1, I know what you mean about arrows -lol- whats your opinion of the M3 Hit, I am now looking for a fairway wood, only stipulation is that it must have an Axiv shaft in it - TourSpecGirl has already given me the shaft models that I need so it is just a question of finding a decent head to match the shaft! Nick
  5. I just knew that you would say that, plus1! My original intention was to buy an Epon 460 with the Axiv V but my clubmaker offered me the T3 Axiv V ( a cancelled order!) at a price I couldn't refuse! I await your review of the Epon Vs Tourstage ViQ, any chance that you will also be testing the X-Drive (430, 460, P's)? Please delay your reports until early spring when I might just be able to afford more purchases! Nick
  6. As good as the Epon 460 is, I wonder how many of these rave reviews are down to the Axiv V shaft? I have the V 6070 shaft in my PRGR T3 and it is the most impressive driver that I have ever hit, my experiences are very similar to those of plus1 and blader-X, it is just so easy to find fairways with the Axiv V. When I first got this club I thought that I would not be able to shape the ball at all, it just seemed to go straight, now after a few more rounds I am learning to use it and it just continues to be more and more impressive.
  7. Interesting!!! I am absolutely delighted with my PRGR T3 and cannot think of anything that could replace it - but it doesn't hurt to look does it? i suppose that ought to be concentrating on my putting rather than buying every new driver and iron set that appeals to me - my putting is woeful! Tee to green in regulation then 3 putts - that's the norm for me
  8. I really like the look of the new Tourstage X-Drive, can anyone tell me how they think it would compare to my PRGR T3, assuming the same Axiv V shaft? Please tell me it will be similar - I really don't want to spend any more money ( lies, damned lies?!!!)

I would contact TourSpecGirl, she is the expert on Axiv shafts, I found her very helpful and informative when I was in the same situation as yourself. I am delighted with my Axiv V and am following TourSpecGirls advice for axiv shafts in my FW woods!
  10. I can highly recommend the Miura CB 1006, sets up just like a Blade, very thin top line, small cavity plus muscle back, very easy to shape, very soft 'buttery' feel off the club face, excellent quality and combined with the correct Nippon NS Pro shaft for your swing, you would have a set of irons to meet your needs1
  11. Having studied your reviews and comments I have taken your advice and ordered a set of the new CB 1006's, (3-PW + WF03 58* S Wedge), all with NS Pro shafts (950GH - 1150GH in 58*). I trust your judgement and hope to enjoy my new Miura's very soon, I have had them completely custom fitted so there will be no excuse! I am wondering if they will be much better than my Maxfli Australian Blades (2003 model) which I absolutely adore - any thoughts as to how the Miura's will stack up?

Having just ordered a set of CB 1006, I enquired about Hybrids and was told that there will be a range of Hybrid Miura's introduced later in the year. I was also told that Miura produce woods for sale in Japan but cannot confirm this info.
