  1. Thanks for the reply. Have you had any experience with the Axiv-V or the new Rombax? How does it compare it to the Roddio? Distance? Does it play a flex softer? Does it give the kick that they say the Axiv-V is famous for? Am really excited about the shaft now because of your feedback.
  2. Does anybody have any info on the RODDIO shaft made by DAIWA? I've been told that it's their version of the Axiv V and the new Rombax but that came from a source who was only guessing. I was going to have one put on the new ON/OFF Plus Driver I ordered but I just need any kind of feedback before I deposit more money into another persons account. lol And if you have any info, what's the better shaft, the TYPE-WA or the TYPE-BA--I don't know how to read Japanese and in their website (www.roddio.jp/products.html) it had these two products to choose from depending on how one swung. Thanks in advance.
  3. Has anyone tried the AKIRA TM Driver? I'm really happy with this club with the Fujikura Rombax 70 gram shaft. I've never hit anything this long and accurate. I was just wondering if it's just me or the 45 day rule? I've tried the Maruman Exim Nano and all the latest US spec drivers and nothing gave me the distance and feedback as this driver. I was also wondering if anyone has tried it, what shaft they had with it. I'm hitting a club, sometimes two clubs, less into holes on Harding. And it's easily carrying 260-270 with a nice swing and it's trajectory is nice and boring and seems to stay in the air longer--and this is in Harding where the air is heavy, weather is cold and wind kicks up. If anyone has tried it can they compare it to the other Japanese spec drivers? The AKIRA logo looks like something from Star Trek or the Acura. I'm waiting for the new ON/OFF Driver which should get here soon so I have another JDM Driver to compare it to, but as of now, all I can say about Japanese clubs is--WOW!!! The wedges are also terrific--superb bite and distance control. The AKIRA hybrid is the first hybrid that I can hit--I could never hit the other hybrids out on the market for no particular reason.

  5. Wow, can't wait to read the comparison between the S and the J. That's one good looking bag. And if plus1 is right in saying that the driver is a newer looking version, then I really can't wait for the comparison between the new vs the old.

Chris, All my clubs have been aligned. It truly makes a difference. I don't know how much difference it makes with a high end shaft but with the shafts on my Driver, 3 wood and 5 wood, it has eliminated the right side of the course and the only reason the other side shows up is if I make a bad swing. I've also had my steel shafts aligned--it's created a slight draw and makes it harder for me to fade a shot in but I have the utmost confidence in knowing where my ball will end up.
