I'm no expert but I believe they would play a little softer. Nippon's website says kick point on the 1150 is "mid" versus "high" for the s300. Weight of the 1150 is about 11g lighter: 116g vs 127G.

When I got this shaft it had about 3.5" of prep area, so I covered it just above the ferrule with a thin layer of lead tape. Does NOT affect playability in any way. Just picked up a set of PRGR Data 811 irons on ebay. These are beautiful looking irons in fantastic shape. They have some sort of PRGR proprietary steel shaft (s). I haven't even hit them yet. My questions are: Is anyone out there familiar with these? How do they play - forgiving? trajectory? workability? How old are they? Do they have any resale value? I've seen shafts with lead tape applied just below the grip and I've seen others with lead tape applied at or just above the ferrule. What purpose does it serve when applied in either place??
