Over Priced? Yes but not overrated IMO. I always wanted a set of these irons in Satin finish and finally i have the Irons I dream of. They just came in today w/ PX 6.0's and Winn arrow grips installed.

The first thing i noticed was how they set up like blades, take a look at the top line profile pic, these Cb's have the smallest heads and least amount of offset since the MR23 Cb's. The entire set is very gradually progressive, even the top line slowly grows as you go from #3 to PW.

Heel to toe size its pretty short and I noticed almost anywhere hit on the face has a forgiving result which is probably due to the nice size cavity and design. The back has a CNC milled piece similar to the 05 TM Rac Cb, the satin finish is almost ridiculous its so nice.

I had a good time hitting them into a net pretty much concentrating on the feel of the ball at impact, which was very nice only bad feedback was when hit very high on the face toe side, heel shots were extremely forgiving. I still need more time with them to give a better review, they are not as forgiving as Gauge Cb's or Custom Mizuno's but the way the setup and feel could make up for it.

those are amazing..I had a set of Hagen's back in the early 80's that were that small....how could they not be forgiving? there's no place to miss, at least 1/2 the ball hits the sweetspot unless you hit only half the ball..once again I am in lust..sigh

I hope you love them so you can sell me you M stamped 27's really cheap :smile2:    :smile2:    :smile2:

The M stamp MP27's shipped to their new homes yesterday :wah:

I don't know which is better when the level of quality is this high.

I played 8 more holes today with them after a few glasses of wine :hiro: I was hitting them like a champ  its 90 degrees out and the sulfur headache is on and I can feel my heart beating in my skull.

The thing i like best about them so far is the feel of a shot well hit, I have a problem pulling the ball now but today the pulls just felt soo good at impact  maybe I could use a Lil more offset, I'm not sure. After a fitting and blueprint I think they could do me justice.

Do you have a picture of sole?  If they're as thin as I think they are those could possibly be the best forged cavity back I have ever seen.

Here is the sole

Switch the locations of the "made in Japan" and the "hiro matsumoto" engravings.

Sorry but these don't do it for me. I prefer "plain backs". The RAC CB mill marks are the most I can go. The new TM TP CBs don't do it for me as well.

you Sir need the RAC proto's....too bad the price tag is worse then the Hiros' :money:

There is a big difference in the size of these heads when compared to the 05 Tm Cb's.

The heads of the hiros are smaller with less offset. While doing a search for specs on Cb's through every maker these hiros have the least amount of offset of any, even the MR-23 Cb.

I have 1 set with S200's coming next wednesday that I am willing to sell way below retail. I want someone else to experience these here.

I agree with you the Hiro's do indeed look smaller then the RAC proto's and do have less offset as well..My statement was towards xxio who wanted a plain back...which the rac proto's have. :smile2:

I seriously hope you are kidding Johnny. My dream set is somehow to make blank MBs (Maybe MP37s because you have the only blank TNs I know of) play like forged player's CBs.

The MR23 US Spec/RAC CBs play too much like blades. I find the XBlades to be just as forgiving. I want TM300 forgivess but in MB form and almost totally blank in gunmetal like the TA1s

As for the RAC protos.....I prefer retail JAPAN RETAIL. US Tour equipment is a crap shoot. You never know how bad or how good your going to get until you spend the $$$$.
