They are classics. The prices hold on clubs like that and there are only so many around. There are always new clubs coming out including some new TourStage stuff pretty soon. But, I don't think that has much to do with it. Just happens to be some MR's for sale right now.

+TourSpecGolfer
I think it comes in waves, a while ago I thought the same when MR-23's were all over ebay. The people who bought them for 800 - 1300.00 probably sold along while ago due to resale value fears, Now they are being sold for are extremely reasonable prices, It is still very hard to find a mint set and keep it that way especially with the copper under layer. but at least now everyone can afford to see what the rave was all about two years ago. I only recommend MR-23's for single digit players with good ball striking. The majority of decent players on golf forum boards are using open face, X-flex, high C.O.G etc etc clubs because someone says its cool and retail is poop. We need to all grasp the reality of the type of equipment we use. Currently I am using the Hiro Cb's which I shouldn't be, they are just as compact as the 23's...maybe smaller. I'm thinking at my level Srixon 404's, Gauge Cb's, Mizuno MP-27's etc etc should fit my game profile. .5 closed face & Stiff flex cause me no shame in the game. I still hit the Retail R7 much further than the TP, even with the same shaft.
Lwolf
I sold mine recently simply because I had too many iron sets in the closet which were not being used. It was a matter of doing a little house cleaning, putters are probably next! :smile1:
jinjuwooa
As much as I loved my MR-23's, I needed something a little more forgiving and I found Z101 to fit my swing better.

How many sets were made? I know they are limited.

Thanks again for providing a new home for them. Note: anyone who deals with Matt in the BST forum will be dealing with a very reliable person, he pays when he promises and has excellent communication!!!!

Mikey
In the event anyone is looking for a mint set.... contact me. I have a set that I hate to call brand new because I have hit the seven iron and the wedge at a range and off of matts. But.... they are practically brand new and in fact several of the irons still have plastic wrapping on the heads. My set is 3 - Pw with TT, X100 shafts. All original with TStage Cord grips and all to US Specs. Frankly.... I love the look of this iron. I bought them because they were new and this particular set of irons is very difficult as Chris mentioned to find mint let alone NEW. However.... I just cannot hit the X100 shaft. Anyone out there good enough to hit this iron with that shaft could have one very nice set of irons. I have considered having them reshafted, but that is expensive and I just do not want to put more money into them unless I just can't sell them. I am asking, $825 shipped. Anyone interested can PM me or email me at, [email protected] Mike
ziggy1
If Tourstage came out with a combo set of PW, 9: MR23 US Blade 8,7: MR23 US Spec CB 6,5: TS 201 4,3: TS 202 and all irons nicely shaped and flow´d... I´d be all over them. The MR23 (both blades and CBs) are the nicest irons our there, and the best feeling ones as well. The only downside is the forgiveness of the longer irons. They are simply sooooo tiny.... no room for error. I´m making an experiment right now, playing the MR cbs from PW to 5 iron, and then adding a 4 and a 2 Hogan Hybrid. I don´t think that I need three hybrids, but the two could work well for all possible distances. I´ll also leave the 3 iron in the bag for tight Tshots.... Sorry, off-topic, but basically slightly larger MR CBs would be KILLLER!!!
