hey everyone, i'm pretty new to the site but i must say it has been an awesome eye opening experience. i'm wondering if anyone has tried the new dynamic gold iron shaft and if it compares to the heavyweights in keeping the ball down and what others shafts that it compares to. thanks a lot.

thumbs up to the new true temper shaft.. did a demo 7iron last week with it , stiff flex and it really feels nice.. long itme dynamic gold player-- even though right now have the rifle project x's in my irons.. but the 7iron i hit witht he new shaft really performed like the standard dgolds but had a better feel to them - i think.. if your swing calls for a lither shaft these are a great option..

So what are the new sweet shafts? Im still happy with S300, PX, & 2xSoft Step X100's but curious about these new PX killers hitting the market. I dont even know all the names of them?

The new DG SL, is not a PX killer at all. I wouoold say PX are great for anyone who hits down on the ball(I don't). these SL's are what the DG lites are except they have a high flex point instead of a med flex.

These are really DG on a diet without having to reswing weight your irons.

I have been playing a set of X100 2xsoftstep for about 6 rounds and really work nicely- especially in the smalls head such as mr23's- the lack of weight makes it less effort and ups your SS just a bit

TT Tour Concept shafts are not necissarly the new PX killers but they play simliar to the TFR's but with constant weighting. This way you get tighter dispersion and lower spin that were problematic with the TFR's. Tour concepts are more for the smooth swinger and low ball hitter while the PX's are more for a hitter. Better feel at impact too as the PX sometimes are dead feeling. Retail on these badboys will be $60-$75 per shaft. I have a feeling TT will definetly come out with a PX killer very soon as PX has blown away their entire offering.

Lowpro, what flex is your Project X? How would you compare ballflight between the 2 shafts in that 7 iron you demo against your 7 iron.

t-i-h,

i have px 5.5's in some makser as-4 irons.. very close in feel with the two as far as smoothness but the PX's still had a firmer feel on contact . hit the true temper sl 7iron demo a tad higher but control was there.. very good shaft and one for someone looking to pick up a few mph in the swing speed category.. hell which is all of us--right..... anyway i won't be pulling out the PX shafts... the closest thing i like to them would be the true temper tx-tours....

I have some SL shafts and tour concepts coming, and I'm looking forward to trying them . I heard they are real good, I will have to see and give an update. The PX shafts are real good but sometimes they felt boardy to me.
