jonw
Does anyone have any experience with these shafts. Looking to get one installed soon and looking for a few reviews. Thanks, Jon
tincup975
I have the Graphite Design I-65 in my R7TP and it is the best shaft that I have ever played...the dispersion is tight and you can feel the shaft during the whole swing....ss is about 108 and I have a smooth tempo...also I highly recommend Joe Kwok as he is the best there is when it comes to clubmaking.....good luck
jonw
I have already talked to Joe about the shaft and he is going to order me one for my R7. I am also a smooth swinger. Thanks for the information. Jon W
+TourSpecGolfer
I would go with the new M75 or M65 over the W70 or I65. Personally the I-65 tipped drains distance from my drives, untipped it was alive but still short, Its a little demanding IMO and to a few others I know. The M75 has a nice Torque rating and weight, cant compare it to any Fuji, I play mine light at D1.5 and a little lead tape on the heel for a draw bias, great distance and trajectory, I play the M75 its a dream. I have hit the M65 and its even better than the W60/W70. Go with the new M series you will be happy :gd:

The GD Japan site doesn't have specs or even the shafts up on their site yet. Not in Tourspec Catalog yet either. Could you post the weight, torque and kick for us. Thanks in advance. Godfather1
I have the M-75 in my x-drive type 365 tipped, and it's a very good shaft definitely on par with any fujikura. The tq. is 3.0 with a mid kick. It is different than the 757 line as the gd shafts in general are tip soft, even the I-65, though I haven't had any problems with mine. Have you reviewed the X-Drive 365? Particularly interested in how it compares to the X-Drive 390. Btw, all GD Tour AD shafts are great. Godfather1
I only had one range session so far, which was very good. It just as long as my 510 tp, and I hit it with a nice fade. I am not going to say how this is so much longer since I didn't gain to much distance, but it had a great feel to it with a smooth kick. I can't compare it to the 390, and I will give a more detailed review upon further use.
+TourSpecGolfer
The High Rally C.O.R 390 is amazing, the pro spec is a pain in the butt. the pro specs usually come -1 open the stock 365 at .5 open, the shape is the biggest difference, It reminds me of a 983k for some reason yet looks equal to the 390 in size. It is more forgiving than any conforming X-Drive to date but, not as easy for me when compared to the Hi C.O.R versions.
FAQ
Thanks Chris. That Tour M 65 looks like the one I would like to try. I like the lighter shafts. Or the W60 in a Regular might be interesting too.
jonw
Thanks for all of the info guys. Just the feedback I am looking for, this is a big decision for me along with a big buy. Just for the record I currently play a Fuji 661 Reg in a Taylor Made 320 9.5. This GD will go in a R7 10.5. I may pm a few of you for more info. Thanks Again Jon
bjp1
Jon, I'm interested to see how this pans out for you, as I'm looking for a shaft for a R7 TP 10.5* I just purchased. I have generally played well with the US GD models, but Fuji's have been hit/miss. I'll be looking for your feedback on this combination. BTW - What is your swingspeed? bp
