Hey Vijay's put his R7 back in play for the Buick. He was playing pretty goood with the Cleveland. Wonder why he switched back. Seems he switched back to his Bettinardi, too.

atleast now they will have to second guess themselves about the contract... obvoiusly the contract never said he has to play a cleveland driver...if he indeed did go back to the R7. The cleveland will be back I'm sure..needs further tweaking I guess. We all know Vijay is a HO anyways..win with something and it's out the next week...

MGB,

If you were watching on our local sports TV there was a time (Fri and Sat AM) they showed I think the Chrysler from last year right before the Buick coverage. I had friends sending me messages that VJ was only 1 behind when they were in fact watching the wrong tourney.

Nope, was on Getty Images. You can clearly see it's the R7 in more than one pic. Also, you can see other pics that show a gold colored anser shaped putter. My guess is he went back to the Bet he started with when he went back to the conventional putting style. Maybe the others are right. Maybe he wanted some adjustments done on the Cleveland and just put the R7 he won with last year in play.

No R7 was there today...its a cleveland....the new 460 comp....

He must've put it back in play then. Any issues with it sorted out in the Cleveland tour truck, no doubt. He still with the Bet or did he put the NC Milled back in play too?

edit: Just checked Getty Images again. No new pics of Vijay.

edit again: Just saw the coverage on the tube. He's back to the 460 Comp and NC Milled. Wonder what that was all about.

i was at the buick from tuesday on. vijay had the comp in his bag every day. he had an R7 on the range wednesday for a little but it never made it into play.

Either it is a testament to his equipment or his swing but Vijay makes so many changes during the season to his bag that it phases his level of play very little.

I think he could use Persimmons with extra lead tape and play just as well.

Putters, Driver, Irons, what will he play next.
