I had a wonderfull conversation with both high ups at Fujikura Japan and Fuji U.S.

I first asked where their products were made, and they told me they are made in Japan.

I then asked why Japan has so many more Fuji's than the U.S and why do they get them so much earlier... Fuji U.S responded, because its just too expensive to have that many options in the U.S market and most of it may not sell.

I asked why Japan doesnt know about the Tour Issue shafts when they are the makers..

They said the tour shafts are requests done for that particular pro person. a few are made at the factory in Japan and sent to the pro for testing. The pro later gives it away or sells it and that person leaks them to the market. There is also another way U.S accounts get Tour Shafts, for example if the 757 model is out of stock and the account really needs one they sometimes send them a 771 or anything around the 757's specs that is similar that can ship out faster because its in stock.

I asked about new models being released to the Japanese Market..

There is the speeder line, the Z-com line and now the Rombax line. It is the Triax material in a Rhombazoid ( spelling ) pattern creating a tighter form. A model for both Irons(9E05) and woods(7V05) will be available in april.

When Asked what can TSG do to help Fujikura they said please raise your price.

The New Japanese Speeder line has also seen some adjustments and new shafts..

Speeder 474 46g, 4.0 Torque

Speeder 573 56g 4.1 Torque

Speeder 675 65g 4.0 Torque

The newest of the Z-com...

Z-COM MW64, 66g 3.2 Torque

Z-COM BW44 46g 5.7 Torque

Z-COM BW55 56g 4.6 Torque

Z-COM BW65 67g 3.3 Torque

raise your price? what kind of request is that? how about providing end user feedback on shafts? can't believe it... "raise your price"...

There is somthing going on with Fuji Japan. almost all the companies at the golf fair would not offer Fujikura as a shaft option, the majority of the big names only offer Graphite Design and when I ask why they said because its the best shaft on the market. This goes for Tourstage, Crews, Fourteen, Callaway etc..

Also Fujikura says there will be no price drop in the future dispite current rumors.

I wonder what is going on :-D They wouldnt tell me.

I can't believe they told you that all shafts were made in Japan when I have seen Fuji's here in the US that have "Made in China" stickers on them.

Great information. Thanks Chris! I agree with some of the other guys here. The new GD's are the great shafts right now.

Hmmm...somebody is making a big move to take out Fujikura! Almost sounds like a boycott. Got to be some money changing hands somewhere....

Hmmmmm ? It sounds like new improved fire place pokers.LOL Now for more $$$$ wow Fuji is feeling the heat from GD shafts

IMO Rombax sounds like it could work, Triax weave sounds more stable in the Rhombazoid pattern.
