Posted March 25, 200519 yr When former men's world number one Tiger Woods triumphed at the Dunlop Phoenix tournament in Japan last November, Miyazato was winning a Japan LPGA title. The two events went head-to-head on Japanese television, and Miyazato's victory dwarfed the ratings achieved by Woods. Miyazato is not actually rated as Japans #1, Yuri Fudoh is She is the champion of her tour #1 four years straight her 10 victories in 2003 and 30 Tour wins total dominating the Japan LPGA yet receives not nearly half the amount of exemptions, money or fame as Miyazato... Why is this? Its Sadly all a matter of image. (Yuri Fudoh)

March 26, 200519 yr Same in tennis: Anna Kournikova probably makes more in endorsements than any of the other women tennis players make playing tennis. I know that I would rather watch her play than any of the men.
March 26, 200519 yr So it's all about the GOLF...damn me for a chauvanist piglet but I often pay much more attention to the package...back to sensitivity training.. :circl:

March 26, 200519 yr As someone who wouldn't walk across the street to watch an LPGA tournament I think the prettier one should be given more opportunity. When it comes down to it the only thing that is going to make women's golf more popular is good looking girls. Let's be honest, LPGA golf is boring to watch.
