April 26, 200519 yr comment_92288 hit one today in my back up r7 shallow, loved the low low torque in it & the low ball flight, would put one in my r5 dual tp if i wasnt killing it with the GD J08 shaft.
April 26, 200519 yr comment_92294 Anyone know the difference between the tour proto and the new v2 coming out next month???
April 29, 200519 yr comment_92659 Anyone know the difference between the tour proto and the new v2 coming out next month??? i would imagine its very similar if not the samething?
April 30, 200519 yr comment_92756 Does anyone know what the flex point is for the 75 V2? I can't seem to find it. Thanks
April 30, 200519 yr comment_92778 v2 55>> 55-57 grams, 3.6-7.2 torgue v2 65 >. 63-66grams, 2.9-3.1 torgue v2 75>> 75-76 grams, 2.2 torgue.. from what i have been told.. mid kick in all.. middle hoop strength is the key to these-- ala very much like the accra line.. low torgue-soft tip and butt section- powerful middle section.. just say a model - not hitable- paint job is a ruff tecture.. much like the MFS series from mcc/apache..maybe a month away with some filtering out sooner.. price range > 70-80 maybe... just info* :smile1:
May 5, 200519 yr comment_93314 Can someone explain the stiffness numbers to me? What does a mid stiffness of 7.8 mean, what is the scale? what is the units of measure? Is this something we can expect to see on all new shafts to help selection? I hope so.

Nobody knows what these number mean, each manufacturer will use a different system and use a different processes for generating it. Things can only get more complicated !!!

I'm tired of spending mucho bucks experimenting with shafts. I'm sure there will be a better system to come out to select shafts, like shaft profiling. But I would agree the shaft manufacturers will resist and prefer we all remain in the dark.
May 5, 200519 yr comment_93339 There is more data than ever being collected on shafts, especially regarding shaft profiling. I think there will be a standard in the industry soon. Yes, a company can take the readings and do something slightly different to come up with an odd number but I dont see it having any advantages. I fell in love with the concept of shaft profiling a while back. People are now able to read shaft specs that are graphed out and will display playing characteristics all along the shaft. Great idea. Now we can look for parts we like in a certain shaft, find others with similar specs yet have the changes were looking for. I think the biggest obstacle will be to find one we like. lol Theres going to be fun times ahead. G
