My R7 had already won over match ups with Ping G2's, Cobra Comp 460, 905's, Ignite 410/460, and a Cleveland Comp. I didn't think it would have been so easy to knock the R7 out of the bag. One round on my usual course had me noticing the yardage differences and the superior hit and feel. It was really amazing and a testament to the superior performance of the Tourstage product. Just like pitbull, my r7 MAX w/ W-60 has been in the bag for over a year. Tried many drivers (perks of playing w/ Chris), but nothing compared. Yesterday, I played a round with the TS X-Drive w/ GD M-65 and it's making me think twice about my club selection. At address the TS X-Drive looks solid...I felt very confident. It looks easy to hit and I feel I'm gonna bomb it. Throughout my swing, the X-Drive feels like my r7 which is great because drastic differences in weight really affects my swing. What I really like about this club is the feeling at impact. There was a light feel to it at impact, the r7 feel at impact seemed abrupt compared to it. This "light" feel is due to the rubber technology that absorbs the vibrations. The ball flight and distance was seemingly equal to my r7 which is remarkable because my r7 is nonconforming. IMO, the weight, distance, and trajectory was very similar to my r7 MAX. But the X-Drive's look at address and feel at impact complimented my overall experience w/ the club. So I am not the only one w/ it... I think the 340 looks superb at address. I have only hit mine (w/ M65 shaft) at the range a few times, because the R7TP / GD I65 is kicking serious ass for me. I so badly want to play the Tourstage, but the I65 is suiting me very well. In fact, I was going to post the X-Drive for sale, but maybe it needs a better test period. I will say that I much prefer the X-Drive at impact - sound and feel. You really have to hit it to understand... a subdued hotness, w/ a perfect sound. Distance is identical for me (the X-Drive may be a bit longer), but I prefer my trajectory w/ the R. We'll see... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
