Posted June 22, 200519 yr comment_98004 I played with a friend of mine and he had an ignite 460 set up with an avix 6465M at 45". Ever since i saw chris praise this shaft i have been wanting to try it ever since. I literally hit on average 15-20 yards longer on the range. The only problem is that when i went after it it was not as easy to control as my friends ignite 460 w/diamana(are whole foursome had ignite 460). I usually average around 275 with my stock prolaunch shaft. I like that i dont get a lot of roll and can play a nice power fade that stays in the fairway but after hitting my friends avix im truly a little mad that i am not maximizing my full potential. Here just one of the examples where i feel the avix just killed both the diamana and prolaunch. At my home course theres a flat 336 yard hole(to the back of the green) that has fairway bunkers about 15 yards in front the green i was really swinging it good today so im like its a hot day maybe i can fly the green(with my own driver). I go after it and end dead in the bunker. Then i hit the diamana and it hits before the bunker but rolls hard and almost jumps out of the bunker. I check to see if theres anyone on the hole before and there isnt so i hit the avix. Im telling you i hit one of the most beautiful high fades ever and it clears the bunker and lands on the green like 7 iron. All my drives were equally longer than usual because of the heat but the avix killed my driver. After buying my friends tour zero off of him for 200 i only have 150 in my golf equipment account(dont laugh i got 12k saved by myself for college in only a year) so sadly i have to wait buy this shaft untill my funds go up. I was going to get lennie's avix in BST but i like the lower torque and wasnt sure if it was the blue color or not. Anywho if anyone wants to gain some major distance on their drives they have to get the avix just guess how much more distance you would get if you played a draw instead of fade like me.
June 22, 200519 yr comment_98006 Interesting. Thanks for the review Jaybit. I recently took the plunge into high end shafts w/ the PM 902. Wow. I have had a nice little increase in distance as well. The axiv line of shafts are very tightly manufactured. Prolly the next shaft in line to try :money: God Bless Jer
June 22, 200519 yr comment_98007 Did you mean the 6564M? Did your buddy tip his at all? I don't suppose you would know what the CPM would be in his Ignite. I have the 6564M (was going to go with the 6568M) and am about to install it in my X-Drive 405 so I'm curious about the installed specs. Thanks.
June 22, 200519 yr comment_98020 I was thinking about throwing the axiv in a 580XD TP Tour. Now I really want to do it.
June 22, 200519 yr comment_98029 This shaft is no joke, Everyone has noticed distance gains from using it, I'm talking from mid handicappers to people who shoot in the 60's :surprize: . I have seen with my own eyes many top players in awe over this shaft. The Diamana is a Tight dispersion shaft and is known to decrease distance but help keep the ball straight, I would suggest that shaft for those who already have satisfactory distance but dispersion issues to deal with and I would suggest the Axiv for much wider bracket of golfer, those who want to keep it tight but gain " REAL " distance. I am using the 6060M in a PRGR 400cc 10.5 head, I have throughly tested it against all the best shafts on the market even against other axivs and this one is best for my SS and trajectory.

I dont know what it cycles out to be but i know he tipped it half an inch. Maybe this is why it was more stable than i though it would be in such a large head. The diamana's dispersion makes it a favorite but if you play a high fade than i think the avix is the ticket because it just carries so damn farther without ballooning. I was a little reluctant for paying more for a shaft than a club but theres no doubt im getting the 6564 in blue when my funds get up. O god i forgot about my 3 wood now i really have to save up.
June 23, 200519 yr comment_98055 Damn dude i wish i had friends that are liek yours. i have my Ignite 460 coming in the mail with the NV, im pumped!!!
June 26, 200519 yr comment_98246 Rec'd this shaft from Chris last week and got it in my x-drive yesterday. Replaced a 6064M that was a bit too stiff. This shaft is perfect for me. I can certainly feel it kick. Great trajectory. Highly recommended.
September 26, 200519 yr comment_103718 I know there has been alot of praise about this shaft already, but i gotta vent my happiness out. This shaft is the best shaft i have ever hit hands down. I recently put the 7572M in my 405 xdrive. This combo is incredible. It took awhile to get adjusted, but once i did, bombs started dropping. I swear i gained atleast 15-20 yards. This shaft is gold. Great weight, lively, and very stable. I highly recommend this to anyone in search of the perfect shaft.
September 26, 200519 yr comment_103719 Sounds like a great shaft. Ok guys down to the nitty gritty. Can I get some idea of shaft weights and stiffness of the various models. As I have stated previously my swing speed with the driver is 108 mph. Looking for a recommendation.
September 26, 200519 yr comment_103720 mine was about a 110 with the speedstik, it was the heavy one. So i went with the 7572M. previously i had a GD M-65 <X>. My suggestion for you would be the 6572. i think it would suit you well. depends what you want weight wise though.
September 26, 200519 yr comment_103725 Currently play a Harrison Pro 2.5. It is just a little weak. The cpm is 230, but probably needs to be in the 245-250 range. A smooth swing hits it straight, however an aggresive swing tends to block it. The technology on this shaft may be a little outdated. The Axiv does sound on the money. Is there a differnce between NS Pros and NS Tour shafts?
September 27, 200519 yr comment_103806 Mr Zodia, what kick point do you have in yours. I have tried a Grafalloy pro-launch and liked the low kick point Cheers, Phil
September 27, 200519 yr comment_103809 mid. I didn't know what kind of trajectory i'd get with the shaft, so i played it safe and went with a M. The flight i get now, in my mind, is perfect. It's not soo high that the ball baloons, yet not so low that you get minimal carry. It's great with and against the wind. I think it's relatively easy to control the height based on the conditions.
September 27, 200519 yr comment_103861 MRZ - Have you played any of the ACCRA shafts? I'm wondering how the Axiv compares.
September 27, 200519 yr comment_103869 i have played both and personally i hated the accras....i had a very bad experience! :blackeye: :fever: personally i thought the axiv gave much more feedback, it had more feel, more distance...carried and rolled and to me and my game it turned out to be a better shaft!
