NaisuShotto
saw pics of the new gauge cb that will release this year. reminds me of a sleeker z101. from what i could read it's supposed to have the control of a mb while the top cavity provides a low center of gravity to get the ball up. head and sole looks smaller than the nc-1. if someone can post pics i have a couple. dcc14
I received the pics & downloaded them OK. Unfortunately the site I use (dell/kodak) to host is not functioning correctly @ present. I'll get them up asap. Sorry for the delay & thanks for the pics. Definitely resemble the z101's pretty strongly. Dave
bruinduke
pics would be great. Is the name really MB2? Somewhat confusing for a cavity back. I thought they were the new versions of the MBs before I read the body of your post.

bruinduke
Thanks for the pics. Going to reserve judgment. Funny, I liked the minimalist approach in the MR23 US Specs, but didn't find the new MR23s visually an improvement. On the contrary, the MB2s seem to be a less busy cavity back, but I might prefer the looks of the NC-1s more.

+TourSpecGolfer
They actually call these MB's. This model is the replacement for the current MB Irons. The topline and setup is thinner and it is supposed to be even more forgiving than the last model out. I have a only couple sets of these Heads Only if anyone is interested. I also have a couple sets of the NC-1 Machine heads on the way

plus1
these actually look like a combo of the mbs and the cbs....similart muscle on the bottom as the mbs..ie low cog as well as a tidy cavity! i personally dont think these look as good as my current handmades but.....my moto is 'IF ITS NEW IT WILL DO!'

You could use them as a combo or sell the one you dont like.

Aluinser how did you find the forgiveness of the orig mbs compared to the nc1s....i had the originals at xmas and thought they were very easy....nut the nc1s are stupid forgiving! dont wanna make the game harder for myself lol! Objectively speaking, NC-1s are easier to hit than original MBs. That is coming from someone who has had a long history of preference for blades. I played the orginal MBs with 1050x and the NC-1s with 1150x. However, that statement is confined within the universe of Gauge equipment. While NC-1s are slightly easier to hit, the orig. MBs still beat most if not all of the blades out there in the market in terms of forgiveness. The common feature is the smoothness off the hitting surface.....may not appeal to all but once you have had a taste of it, its addictive. The orig. MBs have beat two very good sets of Japanese irons to stay in the bag - MR23 US Blade and X-blade2 both with M266V. As for the MB-2, lets hope I can give you a rundown two weeks from now..... dcc14
+1, You need to work out a scenario where you can have the best of both worlds & keep both sets. Sell off some other stuff, but NOT those studios. Hold off on picking up the 320 CX & put that $ towards the MB2's. Do a little creative thinking, but don't part with the cb's. Just my opinion though! Dave
