  1. I am not sure whether the blue Adidas bag will be for sale. They had a series of golf products produced in the Japanese national soccer team's colours, I think it's more for promotional purpose because this is a World Cup year.
  2. A million thanks to Chris who has made it possible for me to go into the Japan Golf Fair today. With my poor camera equipment and equally appalling photography skills, I am only able to take some fairly mediocre pictures, which I am sure Chris is going to fill in more details later. It is quite late already Tokyo time, so just a few images of some interesting products for a start......more later.......
  3. After reading this review, seems that I really shouldn't be selling them...... :tsg_smiley_yes:
  4. Wonder when there will be center-shafted protos coming out? :tsg_smilie_money3:
  5. +1...unfortunately out of the NC-1s, MB2s and the Gold's CBs, only two sets can stay...verdict should be out in little over a week
  6. I have had my new Gold's CB sitting on the shelf for over a week. Also had the chance to see the blades. In terms of the club cosmetics, a bit disappointing I would say, the pics look better, kinda component like in real life. Obviously the value may be in the soft feel, and will report in as and when I find a chance to hit them. (Unfortunately current priority is to test the MB2s first)
  7. Chris - How do you compare these to those black X wedges that Tourstage brought out for a short while.
  8. Kind of....they are limited production, something like 300 sets that comes with a Maru short game instructional DVD
  9. The C9 swingweight is because he is used to playing with a shortened ladies wedge when he was a kid...something like that
  10. May kick the NC-1s out of the bag??????? Damn...I better go put some shafts on those babies right away!! I thought NC-1 with NSPro Tour 1150 is the ultimate set.....but maybe it is the MB-2 with 1150. Hell.....before these came along I thought the best were GD 2005MBs with 1050....I have had the privelege of owning the MR23 US Blade and X-Blade 2 before with the M266V shafts...but as Chris said....no match for the GDs.
  11. Hey Joe, Bling Bling! Do these blind others in the sun? What are the specs on this shaft? 56g, 2.9 torque
  12. An absolute killer club. Mine also with the Diamana 83, this is a fantastic combination. Crisp and clean sound on contact and set up very nicely. Highly recommended. Surpassed the FST+ definitely.
  13. Not at all. If you are a PX player....trying out the 750 is just fundamentally wrong from the outset, cause as far as I'm concerned the 750 wrap is not really a steel shaft and way way too light for a golfer using player cbs...its kinda like putting a 5-star honma shaft on a R7TP.
  14. Definitely more solid. 40g more weight compared to the 750, I see them as a lighter version of DG but more refined and more feedback.
  15. alu im puttin a set of px in the nc1 machines to do a fair comparison against the handmades and then im putting the 1150 nippons in the mb2s!!!! still havent hit the nippon 1150s....which flex should i go for.? driver swing speed of 100 on average..... Depends really....but my personal opinion is that the NSPros are slightly softer in flex compared to DG.
  16. Pardon me for being the devil.....I was hitting the MBs very well, but couldn't resisit and bought a set of NC-1s......played a few rounds and hey I was hitting them even better!!!! Less than a month has passed, and I couldn't resist again and will commit to a set of MB-2s. Lesson: All Gauge irons are amazing, seize the opportunity. lesson taken on board.....i just order a set of the MB2S , also a set of machine nc1s and will compare both to my handmades!!!!!! cant wait guys! honestly i DO believe all gauge gear is awesome......i do think it will be hard to push the handmades out of my bag! +1 what shafts are you putting into the MB-2s and the new NC-1s? I am playing with the nice set of MB-2 heads sitting in a couple of little boxes next to me as I type, but most definitely will be putting in the 1150 tour...think you should give these some consideration.
  17. LoL +1 I have one, want to make me an offer? Thought you are still deciding on the MB-2s
  18. Pardon me for being the devil.....I was hitting the MBs very well, but couldn't resisit and bought a set of NC-1s......played a few rounds and hey I was hitting them even better!!!! Less than a month has passed, and I couldn't resist again and will commit to a set of MB-2s. Lesson: All Gauge irons are amazing, seize the opportunity. lol very true....ive noticed all gauge gear is quality! Aluinser how did you find the forgiveness of the orig mbs compared to the nc1s....i had the originals at xmas and thought they were very easy....nut the nc1s are stupid forgiving! dont wanna make the game harder for myself lol! Objectively speaking, NC-1s are easier to hit than original MBs. That is coming from someone who has had a long history of preference for blades. I played the orginal MBs with 1050x and the NC-1s with 1150x. However, that statement is confined within the universe of Gauge equipment. While NC-1s are slightly easier to hit, the orig. MBs still beat most if not all of the blades out there in the market in terms of forgiveness. The common feature is the smoothness off the hitting surface.....may not appeal to all but once you have had a taste of it, its addictive. The orig. MBs have beat two very good sets of Japanese irons to stay in the bag - MR23 US Blade and X-blade2 both with M266V. As for the MB-2, lets hope I can give you a rundown two weeks from now.....
  19. Actually would like to know the official line to the difference between the current Diamanas and the new red ones.

  21. Don't know whether its perspective or not, but both seem to have made similar changes to me: (1) notice you see a lot more logo on the left hand in 1998, and (2) ball placement much further forward.
  22. Chris - who forged these new MB2 heads for Gauge?
  23. TM r7 TP with Diamana to US$400 shipped
  24. Very crisp...good feel though I am still getting use to the shallower face compared to my FST+. Should play easier off the deck compared to the FST+. I played mine with a Diamana 83x. I'm sure taipan will give you guys a more detailed feedback in the near future.
