xraes
Well, I'm either a sheep or a ho, maybe both. I've got the mb2's with 1150's now on order thanks to you guys. I'm hoping I like them so much my custom Mizzies become a collectors set when they get here. Let's see, in three weeks 2 new full sets of irons, 3 wood, UT, and one putter. Is there a hotline to call to stop the madness? The Saturday group is gonna freak when they get a load of this stuff!. Thanks for the interesting and entertaining posts. Peace. :mizuno: :gauge:

+TourSpecGolfer
After several days at the range and a total of two rounds of golf I will be keeping the NC-1s in the bag. They are virtually the same in feel and performance, they differ in setup also the NC-1s are a tad more forgiving. The heads feeling heavier connected to the same 1150 shaft was the deciding factor for me.
dcc14
Chris, Looks like the NC-1's are taking on all comers & sitting them right back down! Looks like you have found the perfect set for your game. Do you believe at all that the X-Blade 2 cb's even have a shot to knock them out?

This is a critical decision for the worldwide golfing community, not to mention myself. You need to make a decision and post your verdict. World peace depends upon it

I noticed on Par 3's when I tee up the ball, shots hit a bit high on the face are much more forgiving with the NC-1s vs the MB2's. From the fairway they were pretty much dead even. Another factor is the weight of NC1 heads felt heavier attached to the shaft than the MB2s which helps me out because I am a feel player. The 1mm smaller topline wasnt really a factor to my eye. I have the XCB2's on order as well, I would be shocked but extremely happy if they knocked the NC's out of the bag. So far this is the longest my bag has been the same, NC-1 and GAS1 Forged wedges seem treat me better than anything I have ever tried and the feel between the NC1's and GAS1's are identical making them mesh evenly. To each is own, only people that own both sets with the same shaft and hit them side by side can truly figure this out.
plus1
amazing that you are keeping the nc1s.....im shocked but very happy for you as its not an easy task to stay in your bag chris! sorry for the delay guys but i will do the shoot as soon as i have made my decision!
MCsub
Hi Chris... are the Srixon I505s in this discussion? They look like they should be... The MB2s could be the nicest club I have seen in pictures, but the I505 looks very forgiving while maintaining a real player's feel.

The MB2s could be the nicest club I have seen in pictures, but the I505 looks very forgiving while maintaining a real player's feel. The I505's actually should be considered among the best CB's available now, the setup is less compact than the MB2's but I would say more player than the XCB1, Now when the new XCB2 comes out my best guess is it should be in the best CB bracket with these: - Gauge NC1 & MB2 - Srixon I-505 - Tourstage XCB2 ( have not hit yet ) - Royal Collection SFI Forged ( have not hit but getting killer reviews ) - Mizuno MP60's
BigEasy
Does anyone know if Gauge Desing has a plan to release a true blade? I'd love to buy GD irons if they make some true blade or some mixed set with NC-1 long irons.

madball
After playing the NC1's and MB2's---is everyone still in love with them?? I have my finger on the paypal button but can't decide which to get... Everyone I have talked to love both equally.. Did anyone find anything different in playing or forgiveness that would choose one over the other?? Everyone I have talked to love both equally.. Did anyone find anything different in playing or forgiveness that would choose one over the other?? im in the middle of hitting both and can honestly say that the only difference i notice, is that they mb2s are marginally smaller in the head. the nc 1s have a very slightly wider sole, and slightly higher face. But in terms of performance i am struggling to find any difference. i am finding both very forgiving with the same solid soft feel!

I finally have a set of the NC1's on the way.. Everyone I talked too that has either of these sets --NC1's or MB2's ---absolutely rave about them. All positive feedback about every aspect of the irons.. I'm looking forward to just playing 1 set for a good while-- instead of a different set every month. madball
Welcome to the club madball!Did you get them and how are they doing for you? Just got them ( NC1's) and shafted them with Nippon 1150 Tours... I'll say the same thing I said in the other forums.. The quality and craftsmanship are second to none. They feel as good or better than all the TM Tour Muira 300's I had and they truly are as forgiving as the X Tours I have -and I didn't think any iron could come close.. The best of both worlds and they set up perfect... I'm hooked now.. Now I'll have to try more of their product and I'll probably have to buy every new Gauge Design Japan iron that comes out :tsg_smilie_money3: Edited December 9, 2005 by madball
